I am probably the only person left in the US who takes a bath every day (no showers for me!). They are just so supremely relaxing. Taking a bath is the only private time I ever get, too. Plus, I take a while to wake up in the morning... standing up and having water splash into my face when I'm barely conscious is torturous to me. Everybody thinks I'm a weirdo, but I love my baths! :D
Everyone thinks I'm a weirdo too! Baths, all.the.way. The only exception is if I'm running too late for a show, then I MIGHT take a shower, if my beloved bath isn't an option.
Wanna know what did it for me? Back when I was uber, uber poor, I used to live in this TINY studio apartment. Literally about 12 x 25. When I moved there, ALL it had was a bathtub, with no shower. And I HATED it, until I got used to it. And after living there for a couple of years(I lived there 4 years, total), the owner told me that they were remodeling all the units, and I was going to a stand up shower stall, no matter how much I begged for them to not remodel. Grrr. So I lived there for 2 more years, and HATED that f*cking shower. Then I bought my first house, and my love affair was reborn!!!! Bath man ever since!:p:o:blob2:

I wouldn't be able to take a bath in the morning. To me, baths are for relaxing and that's the last thing I need to do at 6am. :) A super scalding hot shower finished off with a cool rinse. The bath soaks are for evening unwind.

Me too. I used to go, but now have a pool at home, and think public pools are disgusting(let's not even mention LAKES). You KNOW those kids are pissing in it! And I always admonish all my pool guests....I'd better not see that certain look of relief on your face! You can pee in my yard, but not in the pool!
And Cosmo is right, to a certain extent...if I'm really filthy(like after mowing for several hours), I'll shower the main dirt off, then take my bath!

Two teens killed on railroad tracks were playing 'Ghost Train' game, coroner says
By Louis Casiano, msnbc.com
Two Missouri girls were playing a deadly game on a railroad track when they were killed by an Amtrak train early Tuesday, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The teens were playing “Ghost Train,” in which a vehicle is parked on the tracks, according to Butler County Coroner Jim Akers.
During the game, passengers let the windows fog up for a scary setting and then drive off when a train approaches, Akers said, according to the Post-Dispatch.
"They were playing a stupid game called ‘Ghost Train,’ and the object is to get scared, kind of like telling stories on Halloween," Akers said.
Akers said five teens were in a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the tracks as an Amtrak train approached a crossing about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday near Poplar Bluff in southeast Missouri. When the Cherokee wouldn't start, three teens were able to get out, but two panicked and couldn’t unbuckle their seatbelts. The driver returned to help but was in the vehicle when the train hit it, Akers told the Post-Dispatch.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Victoria Swanson, 15, and Haley Whitmer, 17, were killed and Kaitlyn Fowler, 15, was hospitalized in critical condition. All were from Poplar Bluff.
Akers told the Post-Dispatch that parents of the victims said the girls had played the game before.

I'm tickled by this news... Stefany Hoyer was, like, my BFF in 8th grade, and we bonded over our obsessions with Stevie, Fleetwood Mac, and, at the time, Def Leppard . She was supremely cool and easily the prettiest girl in class, yet, she hung out with the misfit toys (like myself) and had such a rebellious, tough spirit, which was quite the contrast with her "conservative Democrat" father who was then a junior senator from Maryland. Unfortunately we lost touch... but, OMG, I'm so proud that she's come out and thrown her name into the marriage equality debate in Maryland.
BTW, I think it's absolutely bats**t crazy that she is a grandmother!
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/06/steny-hoyer-daughter-lesbian_n_1575453.html
Steny Hoyer's Daughter Comes Out As Lesbian
Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer's (D-Md.) daughter publicly came out of the closet as a lesbian on Wednesday in an interview published by the Washington Blade.
"My father, as you know, just came out in support of gay marriage," his daughter, Stefany Hoyer Hemmer, told the Blade, a Washington, D.C.-based newspaper that focuses on LGBT issues. "The momentum in Maryland right now for the adoption of the gay marriage law is fast-paced. I'm 43 years of age, and I've been gay my whole life and I just figured this is a good time to lend my name to the cause."
Hemmer's father was, briefly, the lone top Democratic congressional leader not in favor of same-sex marriage. Hoyer waited two days after President Obama announced his support for the measure -- and one day after Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) followed suit -- to publicly announce his support of gay marriage. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) had previously supported gay marriage, while Hoyer had favored only civil unions for same-sex couples.
Hemmer said that she first broached the topic with her mother before coming out to her father in 2003 by showing up to his house with a girlfriend.
"He was very welcoming," she told the Blade. "Of course, my sister had prepped him. He was not the least bit shaken or upset and very pleasantly just a nice guy. He's always been respectful of my privacy, so unless I initiate a conversation with him about pretty much anything that's private, he doesn't get into my personal business, which I respect. But he's been great."
Hemming said she partially decided to come out to the broader public so she could help advocate for Maryland's same-sex marriage law, which will likely face a referendum this fall. The law, which was signed in March, made Maryland the eighth state in the nation to legalize same-sex marriage.
A majority of likely Maryland voters support the law, according to a poll released May 24 by Public Policy Polling. But the Maryland Marriage Alliance, a coalition working to defeat the law, said last week that it collected 113,000 voter signatures for the referendum -- more than double what is required to put it on the ballot.
Hemmer said that she expects her father to also fight against the referendum.
"I think I will initially be an adjunct to him," she told the newspaper. "I will go places with him and maybe speak, but I think that role will evolve. Basically, I’m here and what do you think I can do for you."

I'm addicted to tomatoes. Not eating them - growing them. Of course I like to eat them too.
I have been obsessing over tomatoes for weeks. Buying seed that I may or may not ever grow, spending hours looking at pictures of tomatoes on the internet, fussing over the tomatoes in my garden every couple of hours when I'm not at work, reading web forums devoted to the joys and pitfalls of growing tomatoes.
http://cf2.foodista.com/sites/default/files/heirloom%20tomates.jpg
This year in my garden, I have 7 different varieties. Momotaro, Dr. Wyche's, Cherokee Purple (the best tomato ever), Pineapple, Black From Tula, Russian Persimmon and Riesenstraub.
Everyday is a battle of willpower to stay away from the local garden centers that are on my way home from work, because if I go, I'll buy more tomato plants, and I've run out of spaces to plant them...for now. If only I hadn't grown all those other vegetables...especially squash, broccoli and kale - they take up far too much room that could have been used for TOMATOES.
Next spring I am buying a house in one of Denver's vintage neighborhoods, Park Hill. Then, I'll easily have room for 24 tomato plants. Maybe even 40. That means I'll need to buy more varieties of seed than I have right now. :woohoo:

It's good that you recognize that you're not a good drunk, and don't partake. Some people just aren't. My cousin(who might as well be my sister...we're that close) was a terrible drunk. She'd fight any man, going at them with fists swinging. Mean, mean, mean, drunk. She'd been mugged drunk, and god only knows how many strange men she screwed while drunk. She's been sober for I think 17 years now. Thank god. Because she would be dead by now, if she hadn't stopped(she knows this, too). Some people just don't make good drunks.

I have to say, I am so lucky. SO LUCKY.
You see, last night, Denver and other parts of the front range had storms that dumped two inches of rain and vast quantities of hail - some car tires were buried in 24 inches of hail!Seriously! Some streets had to be plowed because there was so much hail on them.
Hail - and floods from rain!

A lot of folks in the Denver area have smashed gardens. Plants smashed to the ground. Tomato plants that look like they were trampled by a pack of dogs made out of ice and snow.
The funny thing is that this morning, I went outside and looked at my garden, like I always do, and everything looked so nice. Green - bright - vibrant - alive. It wasn't until I got to work and heard the stories about the hail that I realized how lucky I was that the neighborhoodI live in had no hail at all. It's like....my garden was spared.
I am so lucky.

More pictures from the storm last ngiht:

Wow, that hail is unbelievable!!!
Yes, you are very lucky. My tomato plants are all looking very healthy(except for a couple). They're about 18" tall now. Can't wait for the first ripe one!!!

Lol. You'd think so, wouldn't you. What I've hit is an expressly potent blend of pre- grades/gallery show stress/nerves, severe social awkwardness bordering on hermitage and three hours sleep per night at best.
I don't recommend it.

From what I gather from your past posts is that you are working very hard, attending Uni and it will all work out in the long run when you get your degree.

I know it will. But still very stressed and sleep deprived, lol. My tutor caught me at a VERY bad time on Monday as I was working on putting some pieces onto my show wall. She decided to criticise the way I was putting my work together. I swear I nearly threw my hammer at her head. I just tossed it onto the floor and skulked off to the Loos for a stressed cry before resuming what I was doing. I should have done it. I should have brandished my hammer and yelled something epic like "This is for Isengard!!!" lol. Tense Bee does not play well with others, it seems.

Anyone else found interest in Lauryn Hill's charges of tax evasion? She is probably the true biggest tragedy in music, although I'm not sure it's so much a tragedy as much as it is her being true to herself and avoiding what the record labels want her to be and do.

I did. Her reasoning is rediculous. She'll have to cough up the cash or else spend some time behind bars. She wouldn't be the first celeb to have to do so.

Madonna is looking great on stage in Tel Aviv. I can't wait to see her in Denver, though I'm wondering about the opening act - a London based duo called Nero. Anyone here familiar with them?
For all the claims about plastic surgery (which she doesn't deny) I've gotta say, this could be Madonna a'la 1984 or 1994 - there's barely any difference. If Madge is having work done, she's got an incredible doctor.

Lately, I've had a lot of pent up creativity that's been driving me mad. I tried writing, drawing and painting to no avail. This morning I realised that it was because I can't remember the last time I took a photograph I was proud of and really truly loved. So I got my camera, tripod, sister and dog and we went for a walk. I got a shot I liked, came home, turned it into a shot I loved, messed with my Flickr accounts and felt 100 times better.

I don't even need reassurance, but I'm just so pissed off, that I need to rant.
So I live in a reasonably small college town(80K, including 40K students). I'm a fairly well known person(and I only mean in my own miniscule fishbowl), and have a lot of acquaintances(some I consider friends, in varying degrees). Well, I throw quite a few summer parties....so if I know 300 people, I obviously can't invite 300 people to my house(I usually try to keep the limit to 30-35, which is more than I even enjoy - 15 or so is enjoyable). But my pool parties have sort of taken on a certain level of notoriety(not really my doing, just the fact that it's sort of "the hot summer night spot to be" - ie, more to do with the guests, than me!).
And I had a party this weekend, and I can't believe the nerve that some people have...I went out tonight, and was "shamed" three times, because "I wasn't invited....I can't believe you didn't invite me!". My bartender "friend" ~flipped me off~, then lightly smacked me on the face, then made me(intentionally) wait about 15 minutes for a drink. When I was ready for another, he said, "it's last call"(2 hours early). I said, "are you serious?". He said, "it is for you, since you didn't invite me to your party this weekend". Even though he was somewhat kidding, I'd had enough "shaming", and being ignored by a server. I can't host 300 f*cking people, and even if I list an event on FB as BYOB, only about 25% DO BYOB! So I calmly told my friends that I was leaving, and they wanted to know why, I just said that I was tired.
Pardon my rant. It was pretty much for my own venting. Life is so funny. You work hard, and finally succeed, and yet it's never quite the golden life that you worked SO HARD to attain. I try to be the absolute best person that I can, and yet, it's never enough, for everyone. You can't please everyone.
SO I CAME HOME, AND AM DRINKING A GLASS OF WINE, BY MYSELF, BECAUSE IT FELT LIKE A BETTER OPTION, THAN DEALING WITH "ACQUAINTANCES" WHO EXPECT ME TO ENTERTAIN THE ENTIRE TOWN....
Thanks for listening, and yes, I know that I'm very lucky to have what I do. I'm thankful for that(and I'm NOT rich, for the record, only comfortable). But I remember being uber poor, and being much happier...because people didn't have...unusual expectations....

Hey - we all need to rant now and again! Go for it.
I know what you mean about things like this, some people are just never happy. You may well find that certain people, after making a fuss of not being asked, wouldn;t turn up anyway! As for your bartender... patrnising and generally being a d**k like that is one way to end up getting a smack! Majoy assholery.
Uggghhh... people who turn up empty handed to a party are just cheap. Even if it's not a BYOB, you should always turn up with something. All drinks become communal soon enough enyway. I was a student for a loooong time and do remember being pretty poor too (and likely will be again whenever Imovebefore I getset up) but you still try your best to bring something, or explain to the host beforehand if it really is tough.
p.s: Can I come to your next party? Or the next, next, next one... whenever I'm in town?!

I don't really even have parties anymore because of this kind of crap. When I invite people over I make sure I don't even call it a party. I ask them to come over for "drinks" and to "hang out". Truth be told, I have a lot more fun with a group of 7-10 friends that I do with 35-60 "friends" who are only there to drink and eat for free.

Yeah, his behavior last night, showed exactly why he never has been invited. It's funny, last 3 years have been a huge turnaround in my life. Probably the biggest lesson I've learned though, is how to grow a beautiful garden, minus any weeds. I now pull the weeds out. People who don't play well with others. Who love to argue. Who just cause drama in general. Some people are on the fence, and it's a tough call for me, on whether to invite them or not...but if I don't, it hurts their feelings(as happened last night). Do they not see that I can't invite everybody?
Well it kills me that they're always Facebook events, and I state: "Bring your beverage of choice", then at least half of them show up empty handed. I always "donate" a handle of cheap vodka, and a handle of cheap whiskey, and they'll BITCH about having to drink that. "WHAT PART OF BYOB, DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?". And I don't mind my poor friends coming empty handed, but good lord, don't bitch about what you're served, when you showed up empty handed, AT a BYOB party.
Next time you're in town, hit me up! I think you and I should tear Nashville a new one, instead!
And thanks for allowing me to vent. I can't do it on FB, because the guilty parties would all recognize themselves!

I know! And people don't understand why I try to pare the guest list down to 12-15. I ENJOY myself when that's the number. Good god, when there are 35 people here....know what I become? Their servant. It's not enjoyable for me, trying to entertain that many people. A dozen good people(again, no weeds), makes for an enjoyable evening!
But yeah, feelings get hurt, by those not invited. I'm not quite sure how to remedy that situation...because hurt feelings certainly isn't my intent...

That I was suppose to see my dad today to make up for not seeing him on Fathers Day....he called me today randomly so I figured "oh hes gonna say something came up and we cant get together...like he always does..." well I answered and he was like "Caitlin....I love you....I have some bad news" so if course I thought he was gonna say we couldnt get together...Well he was like "Uncle Jim is no longer with us..." of course I was shocked and was like "WHAT?!" he continued to say that he broke into his house and found him hung in the basement...he committed suicide last night...So if course I broke down...and my dad cried as well which I have never heard/seen before...but after seeing your brother hanging how can you not be scarred...
I wasnt too close with my Uncle Jim so I didnt know too much about what was going on with him...but I knew he had some health problems and stuff....My dad was gonna fill me in later...

Hi Enchanted,
what happened to you and your family is terrible. There are no right words at times like this. All I can tell you is try to be strong for your dad, be close to him because he'll need your emotional support. TIt will take a long time before he'll feel better, specially because what happened is something so unexpected and extreme, certainly unimaginable for him. I offer you my condolences.

I'm sorry for your family's loss. *Sends good thoughts and karma your way*. I'm sure you don't need to be told, but be good to your Father for a while. Seeing anybody take their own life is scarring, especially if that person is somebody dear to your heart. I saw my neighbour hang himself years ago and it's always stuck with me. There's probably a long list of people before me, but if you ever need to talk to anybody don't hesitate to PM me. I'm told I make a good listener.

NOT ME! I worked 17 hours today, doing sound for a festival(5 bands on my stage). THEN, I went to a club, and did lighting for a band.
And while I'm WORN OUT, I'm not a bit sleepy....WIRED!!!! Gonna pop an Advil PM now, and HOPE it kicks in! Nursing some red wine in the meantime(accidental Chris pun!). Watching Married With Children, on TBS.....Psycho Dad, Psycho Dad(I apologize if nobody gets the MWC reference...).
Going to try and get up for family reunion tomorrow(hour+ drive), then drive another hour+, to my friend's cookout, tomorrow night. I swear, I can fit 36 hours into a 24 hour day! Or I try to! ( I don't want to go to the family reunion, but I skipped last year, and I was "guilted" into trying to go).

Hahaha! This made me laugh. I went out for a few after quiet after work drinks and ended up getting in at 4.30 am after going to the casino when the club/bar we were in closed! After jumping up and down in a sweaty hot box to Guns 'N' Roses (this place has a brilliantly classic playilst) I ended up helping a mate win at 3 card poker. I used to be a croupier so wasn't gambling though.
Haven't had such a late finish in a long time, with it being so light on the way home. Brilliant.

This tropical storm Debby doesn't seem to want to let up. 18 ft waves reported offshore yesterday in the Tampa area and we've had a few reported tornadoes this morning along SW FL. So much for a beach day the next few days. The sun must've taken a vacation elsewhere for awhile so enjoy it.

I was really hoping Debby was going to come to Texas and dump some rain on us, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The Highland Lakes west of Austin are still under 50% full from last year's drought, and we haven't had any decent rain in months now. I miss my lakes!!

Well I'm proud to say I squeezed 48 hours into 24! Woke up and showered, drove 60 miles to family reunion....then left and drove 70 miles to an evening cookout.....while heading home, a friend texted me, wanting to know if I wanted to meet for drinks.....BRAINSTORM......texted about 15 people.....we all went to my house instead, and partied like rock stars in the pool, until about 4AM.

I feel the same way about people but then I remember that if people don't like me for who I am, well then those aren't really the people I want to be around anyway, and try not to dwell on it. Easier said than done. Really though, it's not you - it's them.
Anyone have any remedies for migraines? I've been having them sporadically for the past 7 years but never gone to the doctor (probably should have) because they were usually only occurring when it was *ahem* that time of the month. It had been over a year since the last one I had, and then I randomly had a horrible one last night and I have no clue what triggered it since it's NOT the usual time I would get them.... I slept it off but I'm still feeling a bit odd today.

I don't want to alarm you, but too many people claim they have migraines and then act like it's no big deal. Go to the doctor.
If they are really migraines, your doctor can provide the best medication to deal with the pain.
If the headaches are normal headaches, they may send you home with nothing other than instructions to drink more water, get more sleep and spend less time on the computer.
But - there is always a possibility that they are not migraines and that they are not regular headaches cause by fatigue, dehydration or stress -
I know two people, both co-workers (at different jobs) who complained of headaches over the years and who were eventually found to have cancerous tumors. One of them, the man, literally was at his desk one day and suddenly could not speak or stand! He had to bang on the wall to get the attention of another employee who called 911 for him. The other one, a lady, turned out to have a tumor on her optic nerve that required months of radiation which left huge burns on her neck and arms.
And to everyone - I am sorry if you've been taught or have conditioned yourself to believe that headaches are "normal". They are not normal. They are a strong warning sign of a problem with your body. Don't ignore them. Don't take Tylenol, Excedrin, Bayer, Aleve, Advil or any other pills on a regular basis for headaches, because all you're doing is masking the cause of your symptoms. Both of these individuals could have caught their tumors earlier if they had seen a doctor to get to the cause of their supposed "migraines".
Go to the doctor and find out why you have headaches. If it's eye strain, thirst, sleep deprivation - all of these can and should be fixed without pills that slowly destroy your liver and cause other health problems later in life.
Headaches are not normal, and should not be tolerated, masked or ignored.

It's the second, maybe the third time this thing happens to me since December. I saw that you talked about migraine and maybe my actual problem correlates poorly with the argument, however since Sunday night I'm going crazy from the pain in my jaw and left ear. I can't even touch it. I had to take a painkiller, but it didn't works. Today I can't almost hear anymore and I have the sensation that in my ear there's a sheet of paper that makes noise when you move or crumple it. Even when I swallow I hear this noise.
My doctor said that my jaw could dislocate and prescribed me a bite and I started to wear it during the night (hoping it will solve my problem once and for all, but obviously I can't sleep well with that object in my mouth, I can't even close my lips and...imagine what happens if I sleep on my side  ), but I guess the problem is the fact that 4 years ago I had to extract two molars on the left side, because of a stupid mandibular cyst. Then I left my city for two years and the dentist couldn't finish the work, which he did only three months ago, but the upper teeth had descended. Of course now I have the implant with two steel bolts and the two fake teeths, but I think my jaw just moved. I wonder if I'll have to live forever with this painful problem. And I think it's all my fault, even if the doctor said that I suffer from bruxism, and it worsened after me and my gf broke up.

Me too. It does make it a little harder to completely close my mouth (don't want any spiders crawling in there  ) but the benefit is so great that I don't care. I wake up feeling better and more rested than on nights where I don't wear it.

I think I clench my jaw too and I don't gring my teeth, since they are still in perfect shape and not eroded. I don't know why I do it, I don't even realize it :( Stress and depression worsened it.
Now I'll have to wear this mouth guard (or "bite") too during the night...phew! I can't even close my lips, I look like a HORSE and I drool everywhere, it's disgusting! Tonight I read that after a year of using this mouth guard, a girl still has the same problem with pain in her ear and jaw. It seems that this problem affect specially young people. I don't even have all the four wisdom teeth, Mother Nature decided to give me only one of them, and it's not bothering me.
Doctors say that if you remove a wisdom tooth that doesn't hurt you, you could damage or modify the shape of the jaw and then start to have this kind of problems and pain, so people beware when you decide to extract a tooth or devitalize it to prevent intense hot and cold sensation. My mandibular cysts developed due to a bad devitalization done back in 1997. If I could go back knowing all these informations, now I wouldn't do it again.

Yesterday I couldn't even touch it, today I can almost "press" it, but it's still painfull. And this terrible heat worsen the situation :(
I couldn't sleep very well with the mouth guard and every 30/40 minutes I woke up...last time I woke up I remember I was biting on it very hard, because I was dreaming that I was eating potato chips and the potato didn't squeeze, so I was getting angry....then I woke up and I had this plastic "potato" in my mouth...I'm so dumb :lol:

Yep. These pieces are all mine. Thank you for your interest :) You wouldn't be wrong when mentioning frescoes, actually :) My work was originally based on the idea of religious frescoes and idolatry (It's been an evolving theme for the past few years. Throughout my artistic endeavours I have been fascinated by the idea of Idolatry, Allegory and Escapism. From a personal perspective, the term Idolatry means to favour another's existence beyond that of my own. Basically, to live vicariously through another to seek fulfillment through their own achievements. I somewhat accidentally stumbled upon the concept within my work of media saturation and resulting audience apathy when it comes to a celebrated figure. I came to this as a result of continuous experimentation with the same faces and a resulting apathy with my own work. This I feel links very well with my theme as it communicates the over indulgence we as a society have partaken in when it comes to the lives of the famous. It is my query within my worth whether or not this constant media presence is in fact cheapening not only their own image but the image of the product, organisation or other they're representing. My work represents this in its own way; feeding off of the celebrity obsessive culture to annihilate the idealised perception of celebrity. It relies on the idea of a media that is thoroughly saturated with celebrity imagery, receiving an ultimately apathetic reaction from a no longer convinced audience. Thus the need for consistent and prolonged change in order to maintain the audience interest and willingness to invest in the media machine. I use no expensive materials within my work, merely relying on found cardboard, wood and cheap paints in order to create the illusion of glamour. My final show is a collection of cardboard and cheap paper pieces, collated together in an otherwise neat fashion. Cheap and cheerful, presented as pristine and glamourised. I've been drawing and painting most of my life. I was the child that was always covered in paint with crayons stuffed into every pocket and an abundance of sketchbooks.

This shows that when someone is talented (as you) and have a good dexterity and imagination, she/he can create anything she/he want with the everyday materials.
Art doesn't necessarily have to be something reserved to rich people only, something very luxurious, but must be able to reach everyone's heart, feed the curiosity and imagination especially in young people like us. You know you can be a real inspiration for them. Youngster today are unfortunately moving away from art and culture, thinking it's "boring" or intended only for adults or older people. Very wrong.
You can create art with anything that comes in handy, but of course you must have some experience, so they'll have to study and dedicate their life to art, as you did.
I also support your perspective of "idolatry" as a form of inspiration, as long as you never forget that you are special too, and also the most important work of art among all those you have realized or will realize in the future :)

It's 11:30 at night, and my next-door neighbor's scumbag boyfriend is painstakingly polishing his F150 while the truck's stereo is blaring loud heavy metal music with the doors wide open. Sorry us people who retail need to sleep at night. Too bad we can't all get involved in a shady shipping pallet reselling scheme, and just work whatever hours we want.

I'm very sorry for what happened, if it can comfort you this evening there was the Euro 2012 football match Italy-Germany (I was sure we were going to loose) and someone mounted again the big tv screen to watch it in the courtyard, so all the neighborhood could hear the noise and the people screaming, clapping their hands or whistle
When the match ended, at 11-11:20 at night, people started passing in the streets with their cars, making noises, playing the horns and waving our flag until 1 a.m  Of course, on these occasions no one goes to sleep. Thank God this afternoon I took a painkiller, since i'm almost deaf from my left ear and with all the noise it started to vibrate like it was a drum. Even my stove went crazy and decided to celebrate releasing electric discharges every 2 seconds, so I had to turn off the power supply in the kitchen (I was even expecting the visit of the chickens, as happened to Chris). -__-
I dare not think what will happens if we'll win against Spain in the final match... :distress:

(I know I've been quiet...)
Tonight, my mother insisted her idiot "he's not my boyfriend, he's my friend who's a man" spend time in our apartment with us, which she encouraged through excessive vodka and tonics, ordering a pizza (which she proceeded to dribble onto the carpet), and attempting to make inane conversation that only embarrassed me and made me want to run further away from her and him. Now both of them are passed out in her bed with the door open and all the lights in the apartment off.
I actually texted my boss (at 9:30 PM) to ask where the buildings one landlord owns are (as he had mentioned I could potentially get an apartment in one of them, as a "connection") and I'm really not kidding about it...:confused::shocked:

Elvis, Jack White, Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham
I have dreams (some nightmares) almost every night.
But as much as I listen to music, I seldom dream of my
favorite artists. Within the last month I've had dreams
of the four artist mentioned.
None have been too crazy. I saw Elvis again in concert.
Jack White sold me one of his guitars for $49.99. The
Stevie and Lindsey dream happened last night. I was
hanging out with Lindsey, it seemed he was a little down
for some reason (I knew why in the dream). But the part
that hangs with me the most was visiting with Stevie.
And now I'm mad, mad, mad at myself for not writing
down what she told me. In our conversation she said to me
"I saw you leave last night in your truck and..." she finished
that with a few verses to a song she'd just made up. And then
I woke up. I remember repeating the verses so I'd remember
them later. But when I awoke to get up for the day I'd forgotten
them. Four Stevie Dream verses, gone forever.

Sitting in my favorite honky tonk in Nashville last night, and this HUGE(like about 6'6", and 400 lbs) black guy comes in, with his (apparent) bodyguard. He's wearing a pink and white pinstriped suit, and has long dread locks. So of course everyone is looking, and people finally figure out who he is.
Well, he asked me to take a picture of him and a friend, with his phone. So I did, and became his best friend for the night. He bought round after round of food and drinks, for me and my friend.
So it turns out he's a Pittsburgh Steeler, named Willie Colon(I don't follow football, at all, so I had no idea, but people were asking for his autograph, so I found out who he is[duh]). Googled him, and he signed a 29 million dollar contract last year.
Yeah, he can afford to buy my drinks for the night! Thanks, Willie!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I went yesterday. They had a fingerpicking special, with a guy from Oregon playing for everyone(his name is Brooks Robertson). He was AMAZING, and honestly, would have blown Lindsey off the map. An orchestra of fingers, he had!
I enjoy the CMHOF. I became a member last month. Hell, it doesn't cost much more than one entry, and as much as I'm here, I'll probably spend an afternoon there, on each trip here.
But I loved the Bakersfield exhibit. I'm a huge Buck Owens fan!

Yesterday, I met this guitarist from CA(who is "nobody" - he was here for the NAMM show). We started talking and drinking beer, around 5PM, and hung out for 9 hours! I loaned him my Country Music Hall of Fame ID, so that he can take a free tour of the facility today, and he's going to mail it back to me, when he gets home.
Life.is.good.:woohoo:
I. want. that. ID. :wavey::wavey:

That's cool! I need to renew my membership. I loved the Haggard & Bonnie Owens stuff, but my friend is a big Don Rich fan, so she was in heaven seeing his items.
Buck was a wonderful person.
In 1998, Fender put out a red, silver and blue Buck Owens Telecaster. I bought one, and my friend(long story I won't get into) had contact with Buck's secretary. Well, I mailed the gold pickguard off to Bakersfield, and she wrote me back, that "Buck is afraid that any Sharpie will rub off, how would you feel about him getting it engraved for you?"
I offered to pay for the engraving, and she wrote back, "Buck won't hear of it. He's glad to do it for a fan" What a class act he was.

Thanks. It's definitely one of my prized possessions. If I weren't planning on being cremated, it would have to be buried with me. Seems like more of a shame, to cremate it!
