If it were up to me, I would keep most of the length. I'm useless as to how you should style it though.

My hair is a dark red, almost auburn, and really long. I get a lot of compliments on the color, which is funny as I've always hated my hair color. I wasn't a redhead growing up, but blonde. I hesitated a looong time before posting this.
Ok, so both of my parents are alcoholics. I know this is random, and maybe a bit inappropiate, but i just reached that point in my life, where i feel like i need to talk about it. I never do. Like my mom would say, it's some kind of a "big family secret" (she obviously says that because, if someone knows, her social life would be destroyed...).
They've always been really nice to me, and there's always been a strong bound between us, but i can't handle it anymore. I'm starting to be more and more agressive, and they don't get it, cause once again, they really are good parents. But i can't watch them killing themselves in front of me, and i can't listen to them saying that this is a normal situation. I know they are unhappy, if they're drinking, and i don't know what to do about it. My sister and i are necessarily responsible for it, cause they're working so hard for us, and i know that might be one reason of the fact that they're so unhappy. Probably the main reason, actually.
I don't know what to do, and my mom is telling me that i'll never change anything. I'm so scared for their health, and for the future.

I'm really sorry to talk about it here, but i feel like The Ledge is one little place, out of the society i live in, where i won't be judged. So, that's it.

I grew up with 3 addict parents myself... my Mother, Father, and Stepfather. You and your Sister did NOT make your parents alcoholics. Addiction is a disease, it's something that's inherited... not something brought on by anything situational (such as having children). What I would suggest to you is to go find an "Al Anon" group near you. This is a support group for the loved ones of alcoholics:

You need to talk about these feelings you have. I bottled mine up my entire life, and isolated myself from people. I probably still keep people pushed away because of the stuff I witnessed my entire childhood from having addict parents. You are always welcome to vent to us Ledgies, but what you really need to do is find someone professional to talk to. Be it a therapist/psychologist/psychiatrist, or by simply attending Al Anon meetings. You don't want your parents behavior to haunt you for the rest of your life, trust.

Last night was amazing. Put my moves (dance) to the test. Still got some beat in my feet. Lost my friends but traded them for to Lesbians. Got bought drinks by the bartender and some random guy got mad at me. Someone called me Brad Pitt. Oh and @ fumi I kid you not some older gent said "you are beautiful I love feet can I see your feet?" Was in the process of swallowing my drink and launched it on his face from lmao.

HAHAHA. I've just got the feedback from my least favourite essay of all time ever. From my least favourite class. That I've attended the least amount of lessons. And I got my highest ever score. All my other assignments this year have been at a 2:1 level, but this is my first 1:1. Ridiculously amused and happy.

Thanks John! So my point remains though! So technically she could sue. I see no diff between having a demo thread or for me posting a link to her new album. Because at the end of the day it is up to the individual whether to dl or not.

Louie I am just off on a tangent this is in NO way directed towards you. I am just sputtering the facts as I read them to be. People can find a loop hole in any argument but the facts remain the same. Regardless of whether or not people will or won't sue.. Us even possessing
her demos (particularly altering to suit our own personal liking is illegal. Plus I am just find it so annoying the way certain dog doo flies around here. I am done. honestly after tonight I feel so sorry that I ever let myself get so worked over but my energy is going back to Stevie. I've read it three times--it's one of my favorite books. I went on to read a biography of Jean Rhys and a play about her, and take Caribbean History chiefly because of it.
When I found out Stevie was basing a song on WSS, I was probably giddy for two days. One of those moments of, "This is why I'm obsessed with this woman! And why I'm obsessed with this book!"

So good to be back. I've barely had time to read anything. Today I'm going to tackle the Stevie forum and try to catch up so I'll know whether or not to post some tidbits in Nicks MacNugetts or not.
Oh and about my walking, well, someone gave me 5 cases of Ensure for free and I love those things as they are very addicting milkshakes. In just 2 weeks I was mortally shocked to learn those fukcers made me gain back 10 pounds! Lbs. that took me months to shed. But now Viv is back to her regularly scheduled programming and will watch those pounds disappear again.(hopefully)

I'm the same in the sense that I help people so much, but when it's Bee's time I'm suddenly standing alone. That yesterday I had a client and she had wicked intense curly hair and such and she wanted highlights...So obvs I did. We chatted the whole time about life and how she has a special 2 yr old son and I was saying how my best friend goes to school for special education. Oh and how she works at Il Forno(wicked good italian restaurant also where Ashley;s sister is having her confirmation party) and she shared her fig newtons with me. so she gave me a $7 tip yesterday which is a lot lol

Well she came in today before going to work and told me how much fun she had and how she has a special little boy and rarely gets to go out and how much she loves her hair and how I made her day yesterday. Well she gave me a $10 gift card to Gourmet Donuts(i told her how I like to have lunch there and sometimes my bff doesnt come and see me for lunch everyday) and $10!!! I tried to tell her it was too much and stuff but she insisted. I obviously gave her a hug and told her how she totally made my day!!! She also told me that shes gonna come in for a retouch when she needs it and as well follow me when I'm done with school

Uck. I can't hold a thing down. Either way, it wants out of my body. Even thinking about food is giving me severe stomach cramps. I had stabbing pains in my stomach which forced me to leave Uni for home yesterday despite me needing to spend a full research day in the library. It was either that or pass out in the stacks. My friends were going to club together to pay for me a cab home but I snuck off before they could because I didn't want them to. It wasn't fair on them. Just had to suffer through a horrendously bumpy and long bus ride :(

It is. I couldn't sleep at all last night because I usually sleep on my stomach (cuddling my pillows which is odd but it's how I get to my comfy :p) and obviously I can't do that when sick because that's just a world of suffering lol. To be honest, I don't know what it is. My Dad had a sickness bug not long ago but he didn't get stomach pain or headaches with his. Maybe I just had to do him one better :s I'm not sure I like the idea of such a creamy food on this stomach at the moment, but I'm with you on the Nyquil. I need to sleep lol.

That sounds horrible!!! I didnt think I'd like it or keep it down but I did. It really not THAT creamy...its not like oatmeal..its heartier(is that how you spell it?) but definatly nyquil it up and sleep!!! GET BETTER SOON!!!

My problem is that EVERYTHING I write is hugely autobiographical... I've written one short story that was entirely separate from my own life and I had people tell me that they felt "disconnected" from it because they could tell I wasn't emotionally invested in the plot. I was very intellectually invested in that story, more so than anything else I've written... but I think I'm chained to the emotion of my writing. It's officially branded me :lol: Well, I hope not.

ANYWAY, I'd really really appreciate it. I'll let you know when I have something to show you... At this point, I'm making myself a fairly general outline of what I want to do and then moving from there. THIS IS SO NERVEWRACKING

I know what you mean with autobiographical. That often happens when i write as well, i try to change things a little so that not everybody knows that it is me :)
But i think sometimes you cant change it , its obvious and it would change to much.
Besides my songs and poems i wrote a fantasy Story but i got stuck after like 80 pages and a novel that i just began and some really autobiographical stuff from things that happened a few years ago.

So today I went out to lunch with my mom =) We had a delish lunch as well as a couple Margaritas =) Good thing she was driving cuz after those 2 margaritas really made me loopy!! I got up and I was like "WHOA!!!" I was quite happy when I got back to Ashley's lol

We went to ashley's cousins house for her bday party...yea I took a power nap on the deck for 15 minutes xD

Overall it was a great day =D

That I am rather upset with my moms side of the family(my aunt cathie and her daughters...aka my cousins)...My cousin Krysten got married this weekend and didnt invite our grandmother, my mom, myself, or our uncle al and aunt judy...which is pretty much our whole family...Obviously our family means nothing to them! On top of that my Aunt Cathie defriended me on facebook...for like the millionth time....So idk what to do about them...I'm about to just defriend them all on facebook....Its not like I've done anything or talked to her...

I know i shouldnt be so upset about this considering I never see my aunt or cousins, but I am...their my "family" but then again their not acting like family =\

On a happy note I am FINALLY on my Senior packet in school and I got a 100 on my test today(on nails...*YUCK*)

Believe it or not, I live my life full of love. You could ask many of my friends, and they would tell you that I'm one of the most positive, uplifting people they know, even if that comes as a surprise to you. And when I feel like I'm being dragged down by too much negativity, I'm not afraid to sever ties, be it with friends in real life, or friends on a message board(of course, I wouldn't be severing ties with the real FRIENDS, because they're on my Facebook, for the most part). So when this place feels like a negative bitchfest.....yeah, it makes me want to leave. Cheering someone one for, "way to tell him!" is piss poor behavior, in my book.
