I like the Tusk hair. Sure, it's a 360 from the mountain man look, but it fits him very well IMO. And as for his gauntness, yeah he did look like a heroin addict in a Tim Burton movie, but that aside, he looked hot during that era

Thanks to all you LB fans for the wonderful pics - love picture 1, SYW Lindsey is my favourite incarnation. Not always sure regarding the receding hairline, I think he looks much better when he is fuller in the face. Too gaunt these days - he looks younger when he's plumped out a little. Hate the leather jacket look - wish he'd bin it! White shirt and jeans is his best look. Must say though that he was so physically fit on Unleashed tour - the guy has the energy of a 30 year old!

I'm an American and I say bonkers all the time. Then again, I am! :p

As for being nervous, speak your mind! Everyone does around here, but do expect to get into some arguments.

As for me and other bands I like, I'm one for old-school rock and metal and in terms of personal style, I am a bit of a rocker (Chucks, skinny jeans, etc.), but when it comes down to bands, my absolute favorite is Led Zeppelin, but I have plenty of other rock and metal (I do especially love thrash metal) bands I enjoy.

Sounds like the both of us all the time. We can never agree on anything. For example, she likes Go Insane era best, i hate it. I like fuzzy a lot (Tusk is my favorite), she hates it. And don't get me started on the NES thing.

First pic: For some reason, I never cared for the late Rumours look, but I kinda like it here

Second pic: He can change in appearance, but one thing is certain, and that his hand witll always be a blur.

Led Zeppelin eh? Yeah, like them well enough - I used to be nuts about Uriah Heep and Judas Priest. Judas Priest used to play at one of my local pubs and I saw them loads years ago. A couple of gigs I've not yet managed to see but would love to are The Rolling Stones (they are always playing outdoor stadiums which I'm not keen on, preferring indoor arenas) and Bruce Springsteen, he's one I'm really keen to see. I've managed to see most of my other favourites on a few occasions - Meat Loaf, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Van Halen, Rod Stewart, Kiss. For me, nobody compares to FM or LB though. I'd go any place any time for them!

BTW love your big beautiful home city - been a few times and had a ball. The last time though was 1997 but the husband and I are hoping to get back out there again before too long! We once took a road tour from NY to LA - gosh, I always want to start singing Holiday Road when I think about that trip!

Must start to keep these postings much much much shorter!!!!

The key to this board is agreeing to disagree! You'll be fine. As for other artists I enjoy, I am definitely a fan of Daryl Hall/John Oates. They don't get the credit they deserve!!

Not heard any Hall & Oates for ages, they're good. I like the eclectic mix of musical tastes going on here!

Fell in love with FM at the point of Mirage and was hooked from then on in. It took a while to appreciate their 70's stuff and to this day I prefer live versions from that period. Was always intrigued with the bands goings on back in the Rumours days, just not the music at the time!

I actually hate Mirage save for Gypsy, Hold Me, and Love in Store, but Lindsey was hot during that era lol.

My first encounter with FM was when I found my dad's CD of Tango in the Night. I was wondering who in hell was that tall guy with the beard (didn't know it was Mick) and why did this album sound so awful. It wasn't till a few years later when I heard Go Your Own Way, and it was love at first sight. I proceeded to discover the rest of FM's songs and the rest is history. As for TITN? I absolutely love Christine's songs on there and I gotta admit that everyone looked hot in that Seven Wonders vid.

In the meantime, McTrouble, what is your favorite era Lindsey? Mine would have to be Tusk era.

Would Lindsey be terribly unimpressed if I just took a trip into the past and cuddled his bottom? Aside from that, I love how comfortable he always looks when performing with the "women" in his life. He really likes to get up close and invade spaces :)

Didn't like any of Lindsey's looks until Go Insane (although he still kinda fascinated me prior to that) - have loved every look/style since then!

Favourite era has gotta be SYW - he looks comfortable and at ease in his own skin. Coming in second place is The Dance.

Both Stevie and Lindsey looked so hot in Seven Wonders, don't know how they kept their hands off each other - maybe they didn't???!!!

Think I mentioned before though - Lindsey please trash that leather jacket, it does nothing for you!

BTW I have never listened to a Fleetwood Mac album that doesn't involve LB - just not interested.

This happens to me a lot - but I can be found rambling on and on about Stevie & no one is interested. Like, I was listening to These Dreams, sang by the incredible Nancy Wilson, I must add, and I started telling my Mom how it was written specifically for Stevie (I think), and after my story, I didn't even get a reply or an acknowledgment that she had heard or cared about a word I said. o_O

It's interesting to me how comfortable they can be with each other. Yet, I guess in the early days, judging from the tour video, the men and women didn't even really have separate dressing rooms, so no wonder such familiarity grew between them.

I think one of my favorite moments from The Dance is when they all stand in a line and Stevie bows and Christine and Lindsey kiss over her head. If Stevie had risen any faster, she might have knocked out a few teeth.

I also love it when Lindsey shows up on the Behind The Mask tour (I was at the Los Angeles show, but not Cow Palace earlier) and having him reunited with the gang, Christine spends an inordinate amount of time just running her fingers through Lindsey's hair and kissing him. I thought, "well, that would have been worth the price of admission in and of itself!"

First pic: I can tell you one thing about Johnny Mac here: I feel very bad for him. His shirt is for the New York Islanders hockey team and, being a New Yorker (and having almost gone to a college down the road from the venue they play at, Nassau Coliseum, the school being Hofstra University) I can tell you that the Isles are so bad that they just broke a 14-game losing streak. I kid you not.

Second pic: Since this is from the same show, John should, if he insists on wearing shirts for New York hockey teams, really look into a Rangers shirt. That aside, I forgot to mention how much i'm liking our boy Liddy here.

Hey Viv! Sorry you had to hear me rant about pathetic hockey teams (if John was wearing a Mets shirt, then i'd be ranting about pathetic baseball teams ), but even though you like the older Bucky, do you like that fuzzy pic Tatjana posted?

In the meantime, here's one of my favorite Bucky pics, which I stole from holidayroad's Photobucket of wonders. While this pic has obviously been Photoshopped (I've seen it with all the band members in it and you see it for a second during the parts where they're getting ready for the big show during Tusk doc), I just can't get over Bucky's smile here.

Now seriously, I like it when he's smiling, but I also like it when he's looking all serious too (and I don't mean when he looks like a serial killer ). I dunno why, but he has a different kinda hotness when he looks serious, maybe it has to do with the fact that it's the complete opposite of his true nature, which is basically being a goofy, fun-loving guy.

And I know this never works right, but I think this pic is adorable.

But luckily his jaws are normal. When I've had drawings like that made of me, I mind most the features that they exaggerate which are real. For instance, I do have a very broad forehead and they make it massive in the caricatures.

Bangs have never worked for me, so I just carry that banner on my head uncovered. I guess today they would emphasize Lindsey's receding hairline.

Yeah, there's a picture of him with both a baby Will and a baby Lee Lee.

Dee and I have laughed about this in the past, but I've envisioned Lindsey with pets ever since Stevie described the Landslide fight and said that Lindsey drove back to Los Angeles with her poodle. Clearly he drove back with the poodle because she told him she was taking the bus home and she couldn't have the dog on the bus. But since she doesn't explain herself, you can just imagine Lindsey snatching the poodle from her arms and taking it home for himself.

Then, when I saw pictures of Kristen and Lindsey's home with that giant poodle, it just struck me as funny, because a poodle is not the most masculine of dogs and Lindsey has been associated with them for most of his life now.

Even John saying in his Q & A that he thought Lindsey had a big poodle made me giggle. I mean, John is probably rarely at Lindsey's home and doesn't know much about his pets, but his recollection is that Lindsey has a big poodle. Amusing. Or is Lindsey in the dressing room talking about his dog, saying things like, "Oh you know, my big poodle loves pedicures." Just cracks me up.

The image of Lindsye taking the poodle home with him is hilarious, and for some reason, I could picture him driving home with the dog sitting shotgun . Maybe cause he isn't exactly the most masculine guy (to quote David aka Homer Mcvie on a comment I saw he left on Facebook, he is probably the gayest-looking straight man around), but him with a poodle or another sissy dog is something I can picture at times, but he seems more of the golden retriever type.

That's a sweet mental image :)

Not to drive this into the ground, 'cause I know you all are just kidding around, but I thnk the standard poodle is the perfect dog for Linds! I worked at a pet shop in high school and the owners raised standard poodles. I was always kind of a german shepherd or lab type befor that, but I really fell in love with that breed.

Anyways, you know how they say people tend to look like their dogs? Curly dark hair, atheletic build, LOVES the water and is an excellent swimmer, strong silent type, but protective of family, highly intelligent, and misunderstood!! May seem a bit feminine, but in fact is anything but! And you know how mild mannered they seem at first glance, but then get a standard poodle in a show ring and they always, always impress...they love the stage!!

It's a good famiyl dog ( it is what it is, it is what it is... a family dog. )... a quiet, intelligent, atheletic dog that is good with kids, and is strong and brave enough to protect you, but smart enough to know the difference in the mailman and real danger!

I was reading this site's description and it sounded at times like it was describing Lindsey  http://www.yourpurebredpuppy.com/reviews/standardpoodles.html

So now you know

As I'm reading that, it sounds exactly like him and all of that fits him perfectly. He even sounds just like the poodle: sensitive, looks like a sissy on the surface (admit it, even though he was hot during Tusk and Mirage, he did look a bit wussy on the surface ), lively and playful, sociable with others...I swear, the man sounds exactly like the dog.

Now, does anyone know what dog breed Stevie is like?

From the article:

- Standard Poodles NEED some sort of mental stimulation in order to be happy

- some Standard Poodle lines are high-strung, nervous, even neurotic.

- Their energy level varies from moderate to high and they require ... vigorous play sessions to keep them fit, satisfied, and calm indoors. ( like when Lindsey plays Tusk in concert! )

First pic: I don't care what CAH said, that guyliner doesn't make his baby blues stick out, it makes him look like he belongs in Green Day (and when I actually liked Green Day, I probably would've hated the Mac)

Second pic: OK, now that is much better. See? He doesn't need makeup to look awesome.

I don't think guyliner (and guys wearing makeup in general) was popular till the 80's, but then again, you did have Marc Bolan from T-Rex wearing full-on makeup back then

Hey Viv! Sorry you had to hear me rant about pathetic hockey teams (if John was wearing a Mets shirt, then i'd be ranting about pathetic baseball teams ), but even though you like the older Bucky, do you like that fuzzy pic Tatjana posted?

Not keen on afro/fuzzy or bearded Bucky at all. Yes I do like him best of all from SYW until right now. Although I don't like full beard I do like him stubbly! Also liked his look and style during GI and TitN.

LOVE to hear you go on about American sports as I have no idea what you're talking about! The husband watches some American football and usually Superbowl. We've always said that during one of our trips to the USA we must catch a live game of baseball/football/basketball - it always looks like a fun day out and would be quite an experience for us Brits!

You should catch a game if you go to the US. The only pro team I've seen is the Mets, and that's cause my dad got free tickets from work. They were so pathetic that they got creamed by the Arizona Diamondbacks, one of the worst teams in baseball. However, if you ever go to NY, try and go see a Yankee game. Being a New Yorker, I've been a Yankee fan my entire life and I've been dying to see 'em at least once. hell, I almost saw 'em earlier this year in September, when AJ Burnette was gonna be pitching against his old team, the Toronto Blue Jays, but we decided to wait till next year and pick a better day.

Michele

Oh no! - As if I'm not already obsessed enough with FM and LB, I'm not going to be able to see a poodle now without images popping into my head. Thank goodness we haven't yet seen Linds carrying around a chihuahua in a man bag!!!! Please don't any of you say you have!

That reminds me of a guy I went to high school with. He worked as a lifeguard at the same camp I worked as a counselor at and I swear, he was so hairy, he looked like he wore a shaggy sweater. Bucky, however, is different cause, to me, his chest hair is like the makeup the guys from Kiss wear: it's something I associate 'em with and when it's not there, they look odd (especially the other day, when I was watching The Fugitive on A and E and they had a commerical for that stupid Gene Simmons reality show and I swear, without the makeup, he looked like a different person)

Didn't like any of Lindsey's looks until Go Insane (although he still kinda fascinated me prior to that) - have loved every look/style since then!

Favourite era has gotta be SYW - he looks comfortable and at ease in his own skin. Coming in second place is The Dance.

I'm looking through older threads... with all these recently joined members and changing preferemces, maybe we should bump favorite appearance era poll? Or redo it, with slightly different choices (SYW era should be a separate choice, for example) and just one choice per person?

How about:

FM/Rumours
Tusk
L&O/Mirage
Go Insane
TITN
OOTC
Damce
SYW
UTS

To me, Chris looks like someone took a Klondike bar from her and, rather than do a stupid stunt for it (like this guy on the commercial for the Neopolitan version of it that wears a pink shirt, brown pants, and makes people give him a wedgie for the white), she's gonna play on their sympathies.

I have no idea what the RRHOF inductors are thinking. Heart and others you mentioned belong in the HOF. I'm not sure about Black Sabbath...are they Hard Rock or Metal? Also, how is Rap considered rock and roll? They need a separate 'Music Hall of Fame' for groups that are other genres.

Black sabbath is borderline, but they did create a genre that had come from rock, so they count somehow. And I swear, they eventually ned a HOF for rap so you don't have Run-DMC gettingin and Heart not.

I believe the word you were looking for is "experiences", Deary. Never old lol. He's "old" enough to know better, but still young enough to not give a crap and do it anyway hehe.

He's not an old dude - 61 is the new 31 !

Listen, both fo you, the old dude part is just how I speak on a day-to-day basis and not meant to be offensive. Hell, he has more energy than me on a typical day, and I'm 20!

Lucky you being only 20! I don't mind if you refer to me as a real old broad! Actually I found 30's much more fun than 20's, and 40's are definitely the best (been everywhere, done everything) but still looking forward to lots! So you've the best yet to come! Downside is that when you're 40, Bucky is going to be 81!

Now tell me something, as the Bucky God is over 40 years older than you, do you see him as a daddy figure or do you actually think yum yum?

I'm 22, and I can definitely answer with yum yum. To be honest with you, I've always had a thing for the older male. I was the girl at school who crushed on the Teachers *blush*. I suppose in a way there is somewhat of a Daddy element there in the sense that I'd adore a cuddle with him and a good old chat about nothing in particular over a cup of tea. The kind of caring and interested Dad that I never had. But there's nothing to seperate that from a fulfilling "relationship" anyway lol. Not that I expect a relationship, hehe. Don't worry, I'm not deluded. Just a tad gushy. I know it's about as unlikely that I'll meet him as it is likely that my Cat will win the American Presidency hehe.

I think Bucky would be dead chuffed and really flattered (I know his missus is 20 years younger than him) to know that he could easily pull ladies ]40 years younger!!!

Okay. I just proved your comment correct about us Bucky fans being nuts, because i just read this and squeeled! It's scary to think that there's even the slightest possibility that he reads what we right. Like he's reading this sentence I'm typing right now. And this one *squeel* Gah. Ahhh! I know that look! It always put me in mind of the times you're supposed to be stoicly silent (moment of silence, funeral etc) and for some reason that moment decides to give you the giggles. And you're literally in pain trying to keep yourself from laughing. Aww. It's sweet to think that he gets those moments :p

Gah. I had an awful one the other week in a class. We were in our Drawing Studies class and we had a Group Crit of our portfolio so far. Mine went swimmingly, and by the end we had another woman who was trying to explain what her work was about. I still have no idea and the only jist of it that I got was that she's as batty as Dracula's underpants. Anyhoo...We were discussing our Proformas (Work proposals) and after a long explanation from our Tutor she asked if she could type it up. It had already been explained once, but the Tutor went into another long ramble explaining that we could present it how we wished. At the very end there was a short silence, before she broke it with "So we can type it then?". Having been holding in my laughter (had to dig my nails into my hand so hard that it bled a little) I couldn't hold it any longer and I released a sound that can only be compared to that of the dopiest, largest Dog in the park. I had to bite on my fist to stifle myself once all eyes had turned on me. My friend wasn't helping as we had been exchanging texts all the way through, and he kept making eye contact with me which didn't help my laughter. I know it was mean, but if you'd have been there you'd have understood. Baring in mind that the lady in question eats her own hair. I was once sat in front of her during a group crit, and I felt my hair moving on one side. I looked sideways and she was there with a large clump of it moving towards her mouth, obviously not looking otherwise she would have realised it wasn't her own. I have never in my life moved away from somebody as quickly as I did then hehe.

Lindsey has talked about some of the women in the audience being very young. He knows they're making eyes at him, even though he could be their father.

For that matter, when he was taping Soundstage he mentioned that his mother-in-law was in the audience in Chicago and I thought that his mother-in-law was probably HIS age, well a lot closer to his age than Kristen is.

Oh dearie me - if Bee is from Yorkshire then we are age-old enemies as I am a Lancashire lass! The War of the Roses - she is a white rose from The House of York and I am a red rose from the House of Lancaster.

Seriously though, these days it's just friendly banter between our two counties and me and the husband love to take trips "over the border" into beautiful Yorkshire (it's not as beautiful as my Lancashire though!).

I like blue on Lindsey, but how it looks on him depends on what other colors he's wearing, on whether he is tan, and if he has darker hair opposed to gray hair.

I like blue on Lindsey, but how it looks on him depends on what other colors he's wearing, on whether he is tan, and if he has darker hair opposed to gray hair.

He is gorgeous in this picture! He's like looking at his guitar & you can tell how passionate he is about playing it. Like it's his true love!

It looks like he's worshipping it, but then again, he does love playing the guitar more than any woman. See?

The guitar thing is a joke of mine, but I can see him being the ultimate pushover with his girls, even if Kristen doesn't approve of it

Don't you just love the mental image of him playing dressup with them and having Tea-Parties with them at their tiny tables lol?

Actually I kinda do

I can even see him buying whatever they want and them being the ultimate daddy's girls.

As for his son, I swear, in those tennis pics, he looked so much like Bucky that, in a few years, he should be put in a Tusk suit, sneak up behind Stevie, and say something, and if she doesn't jump out of her skin, then there's something wrong

Totally. But since you asked, I tried to find the old post where someone made a replica of his SYW tour necklace on the black rope...and all I found was YOUR post from 2008:

http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showthread.php?t=36232&highlight=necklace

Too funny  You posted the same picture!!! I swear I only read your post this morning:nod:

Anyways, when the fan asked on the radio, I think he was asking about the black rope neckalce ( that looked like a clasp ) as well, but he answered regarding the necklace he was currently wearing ( ^^^ the one above ). So, until now, I didn't realize he ever wore the jade on that black rope, until I saw your post this morning! The Kristen part's true though. I recall Lindsey's niece mentioned it also when she did the fan questions here on The Ledge.

Thanks - I just didn't know he ever said it was jade. I remember Cory saying his wife had given it to him.

First pic: And from that angle you can really see how small that hat is. Still, he looks like he's gonna play Farmville in that outfit

Second pic: Nothing funny to say, but I can see his picks (y'know, the ones that have a picture of a pick with an X through it)

I've seen these two before. I don't know how Lindsey could be so engrossed in his magazine. It being completely backwards to our own would drive me absolutely barmy. Stevie's outfit doesn't really have the same appeal as her usual outfits do. I'm sorry for saying it, but she looks somewhat frumpy and "hidden".

First pic: i think it got flipped, but this looks exactly like when me and Tim would watch TV (except I'd have my head on his lap). I'd talk to him and he'd stare off into space, completely ignoring me

To be honest with you, Lindsey looks like he's got a cob on. I don't know what's annoyed him but to me he's not happy to be there lol. Maybe it's just me mistaking the run of the mill mean look, but it looks deeper to me.

Here we'd say he was in a bad mood, but that's an awesome term, almost as cool as not kicking someone for eating biscuits in bed

Haha. Don't think you'll ever get that term quite right. "Wouldn't kick them out of bed for eating Biscuits". We English say some funny things lol. Some people would kick you down the apples and pears for less.
