I think the skinniness is most likely from him just being a naturally thin person (yes, they do exist) or mabe even having a problem similar to Roger Daltry's (he has trouble gaining weight), but I like this one theory someone had: drinks nothing but beer, no food, burns off the calories through playing guitar, having sex, and swimming.

As for the OOTC vids, they're good, but I thought that bit in Wrong where he comes running in looking like Ben Stiller in a bandanna and thn comes out of the bathroom like Elvis was funny. And now I shall watch more!

EDIT: They have the Slow Dancing vid too. I can live without the hair, but good vid too. BTW, is he singing about what I think he's singing about? Like maybe "I go up fast and I come down slow" sounds a bit like "Won't you lay me down in the tall grass and let m do my stuff"?

I love the 'Wrong' video! Certainly one of my faves. I like his hair in 'Slow Dancing'! (should that be any surprise!!!) That's a great video, too! Of course, if he is singing about what you suggested......wait a minute! You're just trying to fill my head with impure thoughts!:lol:

Some Stevie fans are maybe a little Too dedicated, though. What you said brings to mind what happened at my first FM concert (on The Dance tour). This girl who was about six seats down and one row behind me talked to her friends (very loudly) anytime anyone but Stevie was singing!! I felt like smacking her!!!!

Yeah, I respect all of 'em, but like with anything, there's wackos, and they can get quite annoying. At m first FM concert (Unleashed), every time there was applause, these goofballs on the floor would start hitting their souvenir tamborines. I swear, it remindedm exactly of the light chasers and whatnot you get at Fantasmic in Disney World. :laugh:

EDIT: Better yet, earlier that year, my dad had goten free tickets from work to see the Mets (even though I like the Yankees way more, they're still a New York team) and I swear: at Citi Field, it was like Disney World for Mets fans.

How the hell does she walk in those shoes without killing herself? I'm only 5'2", I pretty much spend my days clomping around in Chucks (at least I'm not one of those people that wear a denim miniskirt, leg warmers, and flip flops...in the middle of January), and I can't stand anything that aren't flip flops or sneakers, but it'd be nicer if I was a few inches taller, but without wearing shoes I'd kill myself in lol.

I don't know if you can embed from BN.net. If I want a picture, I have to right-click on the photo, go to Save Picture as, and save it to my computer. Then I upload it to somewhere like tinypic so I can post it here.

I figured it was probably from the book. I haven't bought it yet (I read a great deal of it on an online preview). I guess I should buy it, but I've heard so much about how CAH portrayed herself in a so much better light than anyone else in the book. I mean, I know LB has his faults, but people doing a bunch of drugs or drinking are going to act in ways that they may never had acted if they had been sober. I think that should have been more emphasized.

Spit guard, so the others can't spray him. He got the idea from a salad bar in Hawaii.

I assumed it was there for acoustic reasons. Would it enhance the sound for him, so it helps him hear his drums better and stay in time? I'm not sure.

Yeah, after Mick sputters/raps into the mic for World Turning, a guy comes and wipes it down before Stevie and Lindsey use them again.

Those calcium deficiencies can be brutal as you get older, but I think Mick is something like 6'7". So, he's always been a lot taller than Lindscrafter.

Oh those hideous platform sandals he wore with socks back then. As bad as they were, they did what they did for Stevie: made him taller, but now that he has stop wearing 'em (thank God lol), we really notice how not-so-tall he really is.

Yep, I went page by page through the whole guide, checking every talk show and movie listing. I liked Mike Douglas and Dinah Shore too, and watched Johnny Carson when I was old enough to stay up so late! I had so many crushes, and checked for them all! I never taped any shows, but, I bought some from others' who did. I'd find their ads in the classifieds of all the movie and TV magazines, and we'd trade magazine clips of our favorites too! It's so much easier thesed days to be obsessed :nod:

My whole family watched S&C together each week ( when I was really little, we watched the Andy Williams show! ). When I was in my teens, their greatest hits was one of many records I'd play ( along with Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Elvis, the Carpenters... ) when my mom and I would play cards or board games. It was a neat way to connect. "All I Ever Need is You" is still one of my all time favorite songs. It's on my mp3 player, and it never fails to make me feel better when I'm feeling kinda blue.

He was absolutely lovely. Very accommodating, sweet, humble. He was attentive to everyone there and seemed genuinely touched by all the accolades people were throwing at him. In person he was very thin, very handsome, and his eyes were beautiful. Actually, his eyes are really what I noticed most as they were very striking and his lashes are pretty long. He has those laugh lines when he smiles that can actually be appealing on really attractive older men. I have a series of pics that I really should post one day. :)

In person he was very thin, very handsome, and his eyes were beautiful. Actually, his eyes are really what I noticed most as they were very striking and his lashes are pretty long. He has those laugh lines when he smiles that can actually be appealing on really attractive older men. I have a series of pics that I really should post one day. :)


I didn't meet LB but I was right up at the stage at the Unleashed show in Dublin and got a good look ;) especially as he made eye contact and joked about with so many of us up at the front. That's what impressed me most -- how accommodating, humble and attentive he was to his fans, just like you say. After that, it was his eyes. They're just as gorgeous in real life as in the photos and everything I imagined them to be.

I definiely know CAH messed up when he had the seizure (he had already long cut his hair by then, based on this Second Hand News from 1978 where you could see him rubbing his back at the end of the song), and I do have trouble telling apart endof Rumours from Tusk, I find the easiest way is to see if he's wearing his Tusk suit and whether or not he's playing the Turner. In fact, since he wore dark outfits for both, I have trouble telling Tusk from the Dance sometimes, especially when the pics are a bit dark.

Nope. I prefer his TITN look to GI. His hair was far too loud for my taste in the latter. I could imagine sitting down to an intimate meal and instead of looking into his eyes I'd be staring at his hair. Mood killer. But people like it and I think that's fantastic. For them.

You probably were asking holidayroad but I'm going to answer anyway. SYW Lindsey all the way. That is the Lindsey who grabbed my focus and basically inspired me to discover more of his art. SYW Lindsey was magnificent and, in my opinion, the whole package of what makes the man singular: amazing guitarist, performer, producer, singer, and completely suave and handsome. I think the "coming full circle" worked wonders because SYW Lindsey seemed so much more at peace with himself and his work and had such bursts of creative drive- which later would be manifested so beautifully on those TWO back-to-back solo albums we'd never dream would come into fruition. I'm a huge SYW Lindsey stan and will remain so forever. I probably wouldn't be on The Ledge if not for that period in his life. :)

He did Summerfest in Milwaukee, which was outside. It was his final show for the Under the Skin Tour. The crowds were nuts!

Yes, Zombie often jokes that Lindsey was wearing a tiny hat. It's hilarious.

I was describing the second picture in your post, where they are both turned towards Christine. However, what I said about BTM wasn't captured in a photo. That picture above just reminded me of Lindsey returning after 3 years' absence and performing Landslide. During the musical break, Stevie walked over to Christine's piano and made contact with her, to bring her more palpably into the reunion. In retrospect, I wish that Lindsey had walked over to Christine during that moment as well, much as he did in that picture in your post.

Of course, John was there too in that picture, but he was cut out of the shot. I very much enjoy it when John, Chris and Lindsey are huddled together on stage.

About The Dance, in particular, I have to agree with you. Strangest set of poses I've ever seen. To me, it's not just their hands, but their bodies are in odd positions. Necks at odd angles. It's not as if they don't feel comfortable with each other, so much as they don't even look comfortable in their own skin.

^ I once tried to draw this picture for an art class(second one) and in doing I realise that in a certain light and pose he looks a lot like Christopher Walken. Maybe being an art student has skewed my perception hehe.

I'm BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK! Florida was great, but Harry Potter Land was not worth an hour wait just to get into (yes, I had to wait on a line to get into that section), but Hulk Coaster is now among my top 5 favorie roller coasters.

It was. A good, intense, looping coaster with a speeding takeoff that comes out of nowhere. Now, when can i convincemy parents to take me to the Busch Gardens in Tampa?
