Here's a new fangled idea. Why don't you go out and buy them yourself lol?
No cause I'd rather buy AC/Dc and other stuff on CD. Besides, I have people who want to send me that stuff and then some.

I know. But don't you feel cheeky by asking for free stuff off of people? I mean, it costs them alot of money to send stuff to people. Personally I'd just save up my money if I wanted something, or just download it.

Yeah, but the person that I got the albums from has been dying for me to hear his solo work whether I like it or not. I tryto offer CDs back, but she wants nothing.

Good answer! He does have a way of growing on you!
Thanks! It's been a lot of fun discovering his (to me) new music. I've always loved Fleetwood Mac, but could never get into Stevie's solo stuff like I have Bucky's.

I'll admit that Bella Donna and Wild Heart are both fantastic, butnow that i think of it, I might need to listen to Liddy Bucky the mad scientist via his solo work.
BTW, thoughts on Tusk?

He does. I had no preference for FM till I saw him and got to know him better. While I do love Stevie, I just enjoy Bucky more for some reason. BTW, if you haven't heard it, listen to Out of the Cradle! I heard it recently for the first time recently and it's fantastic
I haven't listened to OOTC yet. I'm working backwards, started with GOS and just got UTS. So far, I love pretty much every track on his solo albums. When it comes to Stevie vs. Linds, I'd say I love Stevie for her lyrics and unique voice and Bucky for his compositions (which, ultimately, makes or breaks the song).

You also forgot that he's a kickass guitarist and falls into a small club of musicians (that includes folsk such as Bonie Raitt and Steve Winwood) as a person that could sing and play his respective instrument well.
BTW, what is that song Great Day about?

I really don't think that would be in bad taste at all. Great pic. I'd never seen any of the wedding photos before, and I guess I never even thought about there even being a wedding...very sweet indeed
I agree, I don't think it'd be bad taste. I've also never seen wedding pics before. It interests me because that was turning point in his life (probably more his son, not the wedding itself)

You caught me! I forgot those things  Wasn't Great Day co-written by his Will? That makes is even more difficult to find its meaning. I'm not sure, but I definitely don't want to think of a 10 year old boy writing some of those lyrics. They are obviously talking about doing the dirty deed.

I think Will just wrote the chorus and the rest is...well, Bucky's favorite topic, something he's sung about in Second Hand News and Slow Dancing.

:wavey: Cassie, GOS is well worth the price! Regardless of how you get it, just get it already :blob2: God, it's sooooo good. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...that he didn't even get a nomination for a grammy is BS. He should have won...
OOTC I love to listen to on long drives. It's perfect, beginning to end. Go Insane is cool. I love Slow Dancing, but Loving Cup, I Want You, and DW Suite are excellent too, and I'll never tire of the title song.I love the alarm clock at the beginning of I Want You. It's great going all around your head on an ipod : )
Cassie, you and ally3 should watch his Soundstage DVD too. I know you like Big Love and Go Insane from that one, but Trouble is sublime. Plus he does Murrow, and Down on Rodeo, and I am Waiting, and...oh, and of course, Stevie makes an appearence!
So much good stuff to discover!

That's good to hear that it was just the chorus that Will wrote. I'm fine with Bucky's favorite topic :) but you forgot Big Love and although I'm not sure what it's about, it's in the name, Gift of Screws
(nevermind, it's based on a poem. But still.)

Then again, Will is Lindsey's son, so when he's older, he is probably gonna write at least a few songs about Lindsey's favorite topic.

i actually got GOS from my friend and it's taking me time to get into it. I heard more than my fair share of Law and Order from Shawna's Tumblr (if you dunno it, ask me), and I have seen Bass Performance Hall, so that's a start. My Lindsey-crazy friend has been dying to send me his solo albums (hell, one day she asked me for my address again and then told me she wanted to mail me GOS and OOTC) cause, like me, she likes to share. Hell, she won't accept it when I try to reciprocate (I know she also enjoys Foreigner, so like it or not next time she's getting a CD of their stuff), but his solo stuff is good so far.

What do you expect lol? If I had the energy he had on stage under those scorching lights I'd be filling buckets lol.
Maybe she's concentrating too much on his guitar playing? He does seem as though he's playfing for her really. Almost as if he's in private, asking her opinion on his riff.

Also, don't forget that he also runs around like a lunatic, so that's gotta do a lot with it lol.
And as for the second pic, judging by Stevie's shawl, it's probably Sara (I heard somewhere she has a color code of shawls, like gold for Gold Dust Woman, red for Sara, black with white polka dots for Stand Back, etc.) and they had a little intimate moment on stage there.

To be honest, unless it's been sold by them themselves, I find it disgusting when "celebrities" personal posessions find their way to Ebay or another site of low morals. If I had the money I would buy it myself and make sure it got back to him in as good a condition as he last had it in.

What's a "pound it"?
Basically, you and another person pound your fists, and back in high school, when me and one of my guy friends would greet each other, one of us would say "Pound it" and we'd do it.
In the meantime, in my eternal boredom, I was going through old pics on this thread and I got one thing to say in regard to this pic: lookies! Lindsey's got a Jimmy Page guitar! :blob2: What song would he have used that guitar for? I thought I heard it was Oh Daddy

I recall in some ancient live recording of Oh Daddy that he was playing some bizarre-sounding notes, so that was probably part of it.
And I take back all I said about that white suit looking bad on him, but someone is gonna accidently-on-purpose spill ketchup on him

I swear, those Long Island kids are too damn rude! They don't even say trick-or-treat, they just shove their bag in your face and expect you to give 'em candy (or in the case of one year, demanded that I give 'em another type of candy lol). Oh yeah, and did I mention that they scamper across my lawn?
Wherever you guys live, are the kids as rude there or is it just that LI rudeness is trickling down to the younger generations?

Same here, except they ring my bell, shove their pumpkin/plastic bag/eco-friendly Dunkin Donuts tote/pillowcase at me, and expect 'em to give 'em candy. Most of the time, their parents make 'em say thanks or something along those lines. And then they go running across my lawn to the people with the nuked lawn next door.

The majority of the kids here ( about half way between Seattle and Tacoma ) are pretty nice. Except for the fact that it seems like one little ( actually, probably not so little ) houligan each year steals one of our pumpkins  My son and I take a lot of time choosing them, and then my husband puts a lot of time into carving them, and they look really good, so it's disheartening when one comes up missing :distress:

That's really sad. To think how much time he put into them, and then some kid steals them from your place, and you know exactly where it is going to end up! (thrown at the road so cars drive over them). Some kids think their cute when they do things like this.

Yeah, you're exactly right...thanks for understanding! I hate it when I see them crushed in the road! My son was kinda sad ( like me ) the first time it happened, but he just rolls with it now. One year we had the most perfect little jack-o-lantern. He was just a little bigger than a baseball, and classic shape, really round and smooth. He was so small we weren't going to carve him ( him... ), but then my husband gave it a go anyways, and made the traditional little face on him. We put him on our lamp post by the driveway. When we went out to blow out the candles later in the evening, he was gone :( So now, we keep the littlest pumpkins closest to the house to protect them :)

That's awesome jack-o-lanterns you got there. I don't think I ever carved one, but I got pumpkins for many years from out east on the North Fork. Hell, I was just out there yesterday, making jokes about a tourist trap farmstand trying to steal "from them cityfolk" (you gotta understand that, way out east on Long Island, the South Fork has all the rich people in the Hamptons and the North Fork is mainly farmland that is ripe for idiots like me from more developed areas to make bad jokes about how, among the wineries, the sod farms are "giant fields of grass" when I was little)
Sadly, I didn't get a pumpkin this year and I'm yet to have problems with kids throwing it into our oh-so (read: not) busy street, the kids running across my lawn doesn't hold a candle to that brat Maybe you should set up a camera, see who it is, and give his parents what for!

Oh, kids around here do the usual stuff. Eggs, Dog Links and other nasties at windows/throw letterboxes. Knock and run is a tradition. If you're very lucky one of the thugs may just post a lit firework. Yeah. Children are rough around here. Don't think we haven't thought about it, but we're pretty sure we know who it is anyways, and his parents wouldn't care a bit. He's been trouble since he was in diapers, and is really the only one in an otherwise quiet, friendly neighborhood. Actually, I've read him the riot act more than once, as has my husband, and quite a few other neighbors. Trick or treat was on Saturday in this area. People here tend to be ultra religious, so trick or treat on Sunday would be really frowned on. As you may guess, I don't exactly fit in here!
Here, almost no kids go door to door. It's a rural area. My stepsons and husband took my son to the park where people and businesses set up to give candy. (I stayed home to get the Halloween party ready!)
I asked my son when he got home if he said 'trick or treat' to everyone and 'thank you'. He told me he forgot to say 'trick or treat' a couple of times, but that he said 'Thank you' everytime!!! My husband said that was true. Believe me, my son knows that if he hadn't said 'Thank You', he wouldn't be going back next year!!

He kind of reminds me of a priest here. If you're not paying too close attention, it almost looks like he has a white collar. Maybe he can be the exorcist to Stevie's speaking in tongues style possession. Watch out for pea soup and twisting heads, Linds!

I, too, love Lindsey's eyes and have spent too much time looking at them in pictures. Then, one night, I was fortunate enough to end up standing right in front of him at a concert and found myself staring into his beautiful eyes, only to realize, Lindsey was staring right back into mine. It was surreal to say the least.

His eyes are so beautiful I can hardly stand it. It's like one of those pictures of a cute puppy that is just sooo cute you can barely keep looking at it without sqeezing it to death, this is how I feel about his eyes, except not measured in cuteness, but Hotness and dreaminess. I did the math.

An alcoholic beverage had before an unpleasant task. The fact that britains' second empire and the Netherlands' first rose at the same time caused a great deal of tension between the two nations (though never real animosity like there was with France) and when they joined in temporary naval alliances they noted that dutch sailors took thier alcohol allowance just before battle, whereas the Royal Navymen drunk throughout the day.

Ah, but then you'd be biased of course to say such a thing. But if it helps, I completely agree. There's only a few pictures I've seen of Lindsey where I've thought to myself "Jeez, guy. You need to look after yourself a little better". A prime example would be the black and white (possibly Tusk era) image of himself brandishing his guitar with the most horrendous black bags under his eyes. I apologise but he looked close to death in that image. In retrospect, considering the copious amount of drink and drugs he was ingesting on a daily basis, he probably was. I bet his health isn't as spick and span as it could be now thanks to the punishment he put himself through when younger.

Those are some pretty damn schmexy eras, I do agree. Though GI, Rumours and L&O are ultimately my favourite. I don't know. There's something about his more rugged and unkempt looks that brings out the beast in me rofl! Guyliner? He must have been wearing alot of it to come up with those bags then, lol. I like GI era a lot, and Rumours is also quite nice! L&O never a favorite of mine, but, hey, he still looked damn fine...not like he ever looked bad!
I remember the pancake make-up thing It was from CAH's book! That was a funny scene, actually, and he was making fun of Kenny Rogers - he of the really bad face lift and eye job!! Linds kept it to eye make-up ( I think! ), just to accentuate his already gorgeous eyes - and because that's what punk rockers did then...
CAH's book had some great moments. Certainly dubious in parts, and she painted herself so naively, but still a fun read.

Ah. I just googled some pictures of Kenny Rogers because I couldn't remember him post face lift. Yikes! He looks like he was made by Mattel. I'm glad he didn't go the whole hog and turn himself into a KISS character or something equally trite. His isn't a face we wish him to hide.
I'm surprised you had the guts to read her book. I couldn't read past a few pages. I don't like it when the "subplot" gets too heavy in Fleetwood Mac, and definitely can't when it paints Lindsey in a less than good light. I like my own naivity in that sense, but I'm not writing a book about him so that's just fine lol.

Yeah, actually Kenny was a nice looking guy back in the day, but always had that tan which probably aged him before his time. The plastic surgery looks just horrible...pretty sad.
I read CAH's book with a very large grain of salt. I don't like to read negative stuff about Linds either, but, you know, they wer all so screwed up with drugs and alcohol ( including CAH ) back then that I can't really take any of it as gospel. I mean even the ones talking about it are speaking from clouded memories. Grain of salt...and then make my own judgement.

It seems to be the trend with aging celebrities though. Look at Burt Reynolds for example. It's disgusting what he's done to himself. He was aging so well and then suddenly he's plastic fantastic (loveeeerrrr!!!!).
I guess that's where you and me differ. I get sad so easily when it comes to stuff like that. Actually, to be honest with you it doesn't take much to make me sad. So I prefer to steer clear, keep my upbeat attitude and be aware of the grey areas in their pasts without dwelling on them. I know he's not a perfect person as there isn't such a thing, and knowing that is enough for me. He exorcised his Demons in his work and he's ultimately a happier man thanks to his family and the love of his work. For that I'm thankful.

Personally, I'd like to find out about those grey areas from his past, but frm a more credible source than CAH. Maybe it's just me, but I find dirt like that interesting.
In the meantime, you gotta respect Bucky for the fact that he didn't go under the knife and end up looking like Barbie new boyfriend. Yes, I'll admit he's grey, wrinkled, and that his forehead is growing more and more, but I'd rather have him bald that looking like he was made by Mattel.

Yeah, Linds ages well...handsome in any era.
I agree that the grey areas in his life are interesting. It's part of who he is, but, I just don't think you can trust one screwed up woman's opinion. Mick wrote some bad things, but then took some of it back. Some he stuck to, but despite their differences, and problems over the years, Mick really seems to adore Lindsey ( and vice versa ). They love each other, and respect each other. Anne Heche didn't have anything bad to say about Lindsey at all. She painted him as a pretty sweet, down to earth guy. Even Stevie admits that a lot of their fighting was due to to her own temper ( as well as his ). Some people just set other people off. All those egos, and tempers ( and coke and scotch... )...it was bound to get ugly sometimes. But, again, it's what came of it all that matters, and these people all are genuinely attached to each other - to say the least! I read a lot of stuff on Lindsey, and honestly, it seems to me that there are a lot more people who are/were very fond of him, than there are those that aren't/weren't. I love him just the way he is!

Exactly. People have different opinions on him, but in general, he is most likely a sweet, fun-loving guy and even if he did some crazy things in the past, that was in the past and now, I find it interesting to learn about, but it doesn't affect my opinion on him, which is pretty much what you think of him.

How does my religion sit with the folks around here.....not well at all!! This place is all for Christianity and strict ones at that. Oh, and about the NES. I'd love to buy you one, but as of last week, a bunch of my Holiday buying is going to be changing. My husband's ex called and gave me a sob story about how she couldn't afford anything right now and that she wasn't going to buy anything at all for their two sons. They are 18 and 19. So, I guess I'll be putting money I had for 'extras' into buying for them.

It is the Bible Belt down there after all. When JC Penney divied up their catalogue into smaller ones, they flipped out over the kids seeing the intimates one.

Extremely intolerant. People here go to church every time the door is open. To say you are Wiccan....well, they automatically peg you as a 'devil worshipper' and say that you are 'against god'. They won't listen to reason about anything.

I was from a city on the Kentucky/Ohio border. Not that it was a million percent better, but it wasn't quite as intolerant. Also, it was at least a city of about 30,000 people. Here, I don't even really know where I live. I have a mailing address of a nearby town of about 1000 people, but this is technically a 'community', not a town.

I think Lindsey was gorgeous in the Tango in the Night era. I guess I'll place it amongst my fave LB periods, with Tusk, OOTC, and SYW. We don't have Pinkberry around these parts (or maybe we do at those Tanger Outlets in Deer Park that's gonna be laying claim to the first Sonic's built on Long Island next year), but we like our Italian ices.

I think he wore Clark Griswolds (big, plastic 80's glasses, like what Chevy Chase wore in National Lampoon's Vacation) based on a pic I saw, or maybe he was holding sunglasses
Here's this pic...but they may be sunglasses.

First pic: Lol they look kinda drunk to me
Second pic: Kinda odd seeing Bucky without his Turner, but what is John doing that he has to practically get on top of him for?

1. They probably were. Drunk and stoned.
2. He always messes around like that. Do you never watch the shows fully? He's all over John at some points lol.

Yes, Lindsey used to have a point in the show where he grabbed John and John would keep playing while being manhandled.
The Dance was so cute, because he would somehow touch Christine (sometimes putting his head to hers) and grab John and then Stevie, but for the final shows of the tour, Stevie would move out of her normal position on the stage, so he hunted her down to grab and kiss her.

From both the guitar, and the messing around, I'm pretty sure this is during Tusk.
BTW, cool photos holidayroad...I think I've said so before, but I love photos of Linds and John together :)

I never saw that. I do recall the duel from Japan show, but never that. Pretty cool right there and I wanna see it!

 This made me laugh for some reason, I think it's awesome they have such great chemistry on stage. I always love when Stevie and Linds mess around but I think it's right cute when him and John mess around. It's like John's just standing there doing his thing and Lindsey goes over to have some fun.

I think Lindsey can be a little rough sometimes, since the SYW tour Stevie has nipped that in the bud:rolleyes:

Second pic: Either he fell asleep standing up, about to puke, or saw something interesting on an audience member

Either that, or she was giving him one of her looks where she practically castrates him

I heard about Stevie having horrible vision too, but it sounds like his wasn't as bad as hers.
I can just imagine the pair of them when they're really old doing the swapping glasses thing!

Second pic: Well, at least he doesn't have any songs on TITN that make me wanna shove a drill in my ear

I thought it was his wisdom teeth removed and it was around Rumours era, which leads to the infamous story of how the Mac was supposed to appear on the cover of People and they had to cancal cause Bucky ended up with 2 black eyes from the procedure.
