Oh and as for tall grass, his pose on the sofa reminded me of the SHN phrase "lay me down" and I like that provocative sort of thing a lot. I can't tell you how many times I would play that part of the lyrics on Prince's Dirty Mind single. But what was interesting to me with Second Hand News is asking to be laid down kind of puts him in the passive, yielding and submissive role, rather than him being the passionate aggressor. It says "take me" and I think the picture prostrate on the sofa says the same.

Also, Lindsey's hand over his abdomen reminds me of the SYW album cover. It's all good.

yes. fellow slight OCD-er here. plus i just don't like chandeliers using lamp shades like that.

but, i like the photo altogether. although when you watch that bullett video shoot they were taking so many photographs, and considering that just 2 or 3 made it in the magazine... was somewhat disappointed when i saw them although they are not bad.

I adore Colin but this would only work if Colin was playing LB circa "The Dance" or something more modern. First of all, his face is far too round and he just doesn't have the lithe young-LB build. He's handsome, but he has more of a debonair, older-man handsomeness.

I'm telling you, but no one ever listens, young LB needs to be played by some gorgeous skinny actor with great hair who isn't necessarily famous. Look at what playing John Lennon did for Aaron Johnson. He was brilliant in that role in Nowhere Boy, and no one knew who he was beforehand.

Agreed, he's too old for young LB. But I think the face fullness relates to weight, and if he lost some weight his face would thin out. Some of the pics show him with a thinner face.

Lol. I guess sometimes I'm a little less diplomatic than others when it comes to what's on my mind. C-A brings it out in me. I just get nothing but conceitedness, bluster and hubris from her. I have very little time for such arrogant individuals who have very little by the way of forgiving features. probably harsh on my part, but her one forgiving feature for me is probably that she didn't milk the Lindsey Buckingham relationship of her past for all it was work. She had the opportunity, and her book did try, but for the most part she didn't take it as far as it could have gone. The so called "violence" in their relationship could have easily accounted for more than just a few lines in a sub-par book, for example.

i don't really know anything more than what he stated in the past - that when they first met they were both in bad relationships they were trying to get out of. that's why i always felt that RPTF / TOF lyrics are about Kristen and the time they first met and got together. and like you said, if IOOT and TTWLG are really about kristen, there might be a lot more going on there, even after 15 or so years of them being together.

I think Anne Heche is quite intelligent. She was just crazy. I think she was needy, but not needy in a passive way. She maintains a certain control. In her relationships, she seems to be driving, even while riding shotgun.

Of course, the relationship only lasted a short time, but if it had been up to Lindsey, it would have been longer, I'd venture to say.

As for CAH, she was probably high most of the time she was with Lindsey, so she sounded even stupider during those times. Of course, he was high too, so maybe she didn't seem extremely dumb when his ears were under the influence.

Personally, you all may flame me for this, but seeing CAH in that plastic surgery vid I first do not think she is in any way pretty for a lady in her 40's, and she absolutely sounds about as bright as a lump of coal. It's quite obvious to me she is very Hollywood in a way that many people who have made it in some degree (by hooking up, modeling, doing whatever for money and 15 minutes of stardom) are moreso than actual Hollywood stars at times. She looks like she's already had work done to begin with. Her ambitions and the things she focuses on are sort of trivial and vapid.

I also don't agree that a woman who is 70 would want to look like she is 30. That isn't true for all women, CAH, only airheads and super-vain princesses I guess. There are so many naturally gorgeous women who are nearly 70. Look at Susan Sarandon in this recent photo:

This lady is 66 years old and she is OWNING it. I also know plenty of gorgeous women in their older years who have embraced aging with grace and beauty.

It's OK to get a little nip/tuck but CAH seems to have gone overboard and, worse, she seems to think it defines who she is. I don't care for her, her personality, or anything I have really come to learn about her. Lindsey was no angel and he did some things I am certain he regrets, but he has aged gracefully and with dignity. I have to respect that.

Also, Anne Heche doesn't strike me as particularly intelligent as much as highly dramatic and attention-seeking. She's an average actress and she isn't the most attractive of women, but even she has more going on upstairs than CAH.

Compared to CAH, Stevie is a goddess and Kristen has the face of an angel. I won't take it back. Maybe he did come full circle. ;)

Michele, I see Lindsey as a guy who is in dire need of constant affection and attention. He isolates himself within his 'room' (which could be interpreted literally or figuratively). He loves being fawned over, hugged, kissed, etc. I can see that about him all the way back to Stevie, his song lyrics, his personality. Even his dang home videos where he's constantly searching for Kristen PDA. It's just who he is.

I also think he liked to drive the knife into Stevie a little with all that CAH PDA. He knew how it made her feel. LB is many things, but innocent is definitely not one of them. ;)

This man. I'm not kidding...aside from Bryan Ferry or Bruce Springsteen and maybe David Bowie, there is no other musical artist in this age group who can still get it the way Lindsey does. Though, to be fair, one of our longest residents at the Cat shelter has "hugged" me like that in the past, lol. He's a strange Cat, but so lovely and playful. I agree, it does totally seem protective. It's that aspect of their relationship that is so touching still -- that at the end of the day no matter how much they may argue they have each other's back regardless.

I think they love each other obviously. However, they don't seem as protective as other former couples do to me. And I don't just mean romantic couples. Compared to other former colleagues and couples, Stevie and Lindsey still seem to strike me as quite selfish. However, physically, I'm sure they're protective. If someone climbed up on stage and smacked Lindsey, I don't think Stevie would take it very well. And vice versa.

Actually, at the Chumash shows, when Lindsey was standing down on the floor for GYOW I like to think that Stevie was somewhat concerned about his safety (though he was surrounded mostly be elderly women). At least she kept her eyes on him down there on the floor throughout the performance.

As for Stevie "letting" Lindsey choke her, I don't think he pays much attention if she tells him to stop doing something. That's why he chased her down and kissed her when she moved away across the stage at the end of the Dance tour. He felt like it. I don't think she cares, though.

Some of my favorite "protective" moments are when Mick was telling Christine to throw her drink in his face and Lindsey was standing there and didn't seem to know whether Mick and Christine were playing or actually in a serious dispute. He seemed to be prepared to step in the middle, if they were actually arguing. But they weren't.

Also, I liked it in old interviews when Lindsey has talked about Rumours being songs about each other and would say that John didn't get represented because John doesn't write songs. The fact that he took the opportunity to say that just make me think that he had John's back and was putting in a good word for him, because the interviewers certainly hadn't asked about John. I liked that a lot.

Anyway, I've said this before, but I so much loved this time when Sonny Bono's restaurant got a bad review and I wrote the Los Angeles Times to complain about it and I opened the Sunday paper to see if my letter had been printed and Cher had written them to complain too. She said the review was so biased they should have used it as a dress pattern. I was so thrilled.

I love when exes have the mentality that: I could kill you with my bare hands, but I wouldn't let anyone else touch a hair on your head.

Well that makes me less irritated, lol.

I like the jacket, but as with most of his wardrobe I grow weary of it when I see it too often. I wish he'd mix it up a little, add in some snappy suit numbers or jackets that aren't just black or brown.

More than one person has told me they couldn't find Cheri in her movie part in Pretty Woman, so I linked part of the movie.

Right at about 8:00....when Kip says 'Carlos, you know my roommate Vivian. This is Angel" Angel is Cheri's part. She is wearing shorts and drinking a beer. Shows her until about 8:05
Then shows her again at 8:29 until 8:33. She says 'You really like her, Carlos?'.

Guess Lindsey had to use a lot of product to keep his hair high in those days. The natural curls may not have been as erect, but at least you didn't have to imagine a bunch of glop on your fingers if you ran your hand through them.

My thoughts you didn't ask for:

- LB w/Stevie: almost always look spectacular together- they "fit" in a way that two completely different people can and continue to remain awesome next to each other

-LB w/CAH: while attractive at one point, CAH lacks a spark and LB always looked cooler, more interesting- she just looks basic next to him...sorry

-LB w/Cheri: oh dear. Ok, in the GI hair pic he looks awful to me. His hair, the eyebrows, I hate it all. Come at me. However, she looks nice and love her outfit. Fast-forward to them at the premiere video thing: he looks classy, handsome and she...oh let me be nice and just not even comment

-LB w/Kristen: she is a beautiful woman, he looks VERY handsome (except for that reunion snapshot where he just looks lit and a little sloppy). Together in these pics, they look awkward. I think they're both introverts and maybe not socially graceful or something...they make beautiful kids. :)

-LB as baby: OMG the cuteness overload. I see ALL his children in bb LB. Look at all the genes he shared with his offspring! I love it.

I'm amused by the massive jowl underneath his chin as he's looking it over. He looks like he's drawn his head back as far as he can in sheer wonderment of what the heck he was on at the time to make him pose in such a way lol. I had the same look when my Mum informed me that we had relatives in America, and when I pressed her to find out whereabouts it turned out to be New Zealand -_-.
