Post A Picture of Yourself, Part 2: I'll Start Us Off~

[Musicman408]

Alright, so I thought maybe we could do another picture thread since the other one is huge, and older.

I'll start off with a picture at me on my last day of high school, saying goodbye to all of my non senior friends. The girl on the right of the picture, in the brown, is the girl that I was majorly into (the one who I always asked advice about, remember? She was such a beautiful girl~

Anyway, hope you enjoy.

WOW PIP!

You rook mahvelous!

Even though this year has been crap-ola for you, you look none-the-less-for-wear. (Stress must become you!)
Those twins are so identical! I presume they're twins...

Brian J (estranged4life) - Though it can be seen as a sad photo, I see it as a son's love for his mother and the spirit of the proud mother comes through.
Villavic, I love ANY photo you post. But it's fun to see you in one and with a Rumours Shirt.
EnchantedStevi - love the glasses. How can I get a pair?
SuzeQuez - Love the color coordinated tops and the people look like models. ARe they?
David - You never looked better in ink...unless it is colored ink.
Sarah - You look a little stressed....go smoke a joint or have a drink. ()
Ethan - You look happy to be out of high school. Are you ready for college?
Jannie C - You look mahvelous in black, but I'd lose the hat () It doesn't wear as well as Princess Diana and her hats. () JK - Congratulations!

Everyone looks happy in this thread. Maybe that's a great thing about pictures and posing...they're taken during happy times and THAT'S what we want to remember.

Thanks honey! I must admit booking a holiday to LA was enough for me to finally sort myself out (I'm not the sort of person to lose weight due to stress... I'm a comfort eater!)

And yes... they're twins! And fellow Stevie/Mac fans! I met them online

Not to be misunderstood, I figured I better clarify my comment. The master's stole is very impressive as is the graduation. The hat joke was perhaps stupid or in poor taste. For that I apologise, that was not my intention.

I admire that you have your masters. It was a feat, I didn't accomplish. I lacked 6 hours and two lousy ed psych classes back in 1984 and was sick of school. Sick of teaching for 9 1/2 months and then sick of attending masters classes at night and during summer break.

I commend you on the accomplishment, and of course, it goes without saying, that you are one attractive woman.

No matter WHAT hat you put on your head, you'd give Princess Diana a run for her money.

Brunettes RULE!

Weren't you going on about how you are unattractive? You are not. You are nice looking. I think you mentioned you were worried about your weight. If you are, that is fairly easily resolved -- from the looks of these pics, I'd say if you lost 25 pounds, you'd not have that monkey on your back

Anyway - don't be too hard on yourself. Remember, it pretty much works this way -- you have to like you before someone else will.

Note - I think you look fine. I was just responding to your comments in the other thread.

[Betsy]

^^^

Ditto what Strand said.

You're NOT UGLY!

Don't be so hard on yourself.

You don't look old enough to have been a part of the Tusk Tour.

Some of us have gray, (and often dyed) hair.

P.S. I haven't forgotten your DVD's and VHS tapes...just still digging in the storage closet and recovering from houseguests.

I was having a bad day when I wrote my negative comments. Thank you both for saying what you did. For the part I highlighted I want to hug you Betsy!

I need to chime in here as well. Based on your previous comments regarding your appearance, I thought that perhaps you were disfigured or something!!! Good Lord, you are a perfectly normal (I mean that in a nice way), attractive man. I hope you are feeling less negative about yourself. I know that we all go through periods of feeling gross, but you have nothing to worry about, okay?

CharmedHour - your long blonde hair is gorgeous! And so wonderfully thick! (I miss thick hair...) If your dog lived near by - I'd want one from the next litter.

StevieFan49 - Arlene! What a nice picture and smile! You look as friendly as you write! (And SO MUCH BRAVER than I am!)

Enchanted_Stevi - I'm bidding on shutter shades as we speak...thanks for the tip.

[SuzeQuze]

WOW PIP!

SuzeQuez - Love the color coordinated tops and the people look like models. ARe they?
...

They're not models but they'd be flattered you thought so! We wore the same color to a friend's birthday party coincidentally. He had a photographer set up so we decided to get our picture taken. A DJ was spinning tunes so we just started dancing. I love that shot because it almost looks posed but it wasn't.

[estranged4life]

I understand how you feel, I HATE having my picture taken - have for years and years (Possibly due to the fact I have FUBAR'd teeth when I was younger until a bout of braces cured that - But the teeth issue also caused self-esteem issues, that still to this very day, persist).

I think in the last 10 years I have only had my mug snapped about 10 times total - and 2 of those were to renew my driver's license. Having my image taken is the WORST thing in my mind (That, and certain family members who love to take pictures of departed relatives who lie in their coffins...SORRY, I dont want to remember ANY relative in that way - I have a hard enough time trying to erase the image of my Mom in her peaceful state.)

You remind me of the actress who used to play Laurel Banning on All My Children. I think her name might have been Benton or Banning, can't quite remember. Anyone see what I'm talking about?

Me (on the left) & my bandmate George (doesn't he look a bit like Sammy Hagar?) gettting into some Allman Bros style dual leads at my company's picnic 2-1/2 weeks ago (the rest of the band is out of frame to the right). This was just days after chopping off most of my hair. (See other photo of me playing some acoustic blues just a few months ago....also, dropped about 15 lbs between the two photos as well)

You remind me of Carol Ann Harris. I think it's the long long blonde hair...

But...let me clairfy -- Carol Ann Harris when she was in her 20's and not what she looks like today. ( Too much Dr. 90210..)

ChiliD -

I wish your photo came with sound. I wanna hear you play. Got any songs recorded? And the weight loss looks good as does the new haircut.

I didn't know wether to be happy about it or cry, because all he needs is his last major and winners dog would have finished him!

I did the VPI (I think that was it) health insurance, but with four dogs, it was too expensive and it didn't pay enough of the bill. So, I dropped it. Doesn't Geico insure pets if they are in an auto accident. I think it is a good idea because a vet bill can be thousands very quickly.

I was wondering. After playing GH, do you want to pick up a real guitar more, or less? I was just curious about the effect it's having on future guitar players. I mean, it's hard to watch Eric Johnson youtube without having it dominated by people talking about GH. I was curious to see if players were going to become real guitarists. It looks like it is just like learning to play, only it doesn't really transfer to the real guitar at all. It seems like with all the effort some people put in, if it wouldn't be worth it to play a real guitar instead. What do you think, especially since the last game system I owned was an 8-bit Nintendo?

I actaully do play REAL guitar a little. I've picked it up and put it down a few times...I just never wanted to PAY for lessons HAHA So my moms bfs friend has been teaching me the past couple months...I dont think it MAKES you want to pick up a real guitar and learn. Guitar Hero is much easier then playing a guitar to ME

On real guitar I can play "Walk the Line" by Johnny Cash "Country Roads" by John Denver..a little of "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty and the intro to "Rhiannon"

So I think I am doing good

Country Roads was actually the first tune I ever learned! Funny. If you like that check out this tune. I wrote it for John Denver, posthumously of course. It sounds a lot like "Leaving on a Jetplane" and James Taylor's tune "Close Your Eyes". It was during my John Denver phase about 10-11 years ago.

I saw the words "Christmas sweater" and was hoping for knitted reindeer or a crochet Santa Claus, but alas. :(

[mylittledemon]

I saw the words "Christmas sweater" and was hoping for knitted reindeer or a crochet Santa Claus, but alas. :(

We are thinking of having an "ugly Christmas sweater" party next year. You know, have everyone wear the kind of sweaters your high school English teacher wore?

[Tango]

I saw the words "Christmas sweater" and was hoping for knitted reindeer or a crochet Santa Claus, but alas. :(

Well, if you think about it just a little bit, you'll see the Santa connection as you read these words:

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer,

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

Merry Christmas, mylittledemon! ;)

[Zombie]

Well, if you think about it just a little bit, you'll see the Santa connection as you read these words:

CHEEKY! I like it.

And that would be the best party ever, mylittledemon. I've oft wondered if there's a special store that elementary teachers buy their sweaters from, because it appears to be some kind of law that they must wear something godawful and themed whenever a holiday rolls around.

Preferably with blinking earrings.

:]

Great production. They spent 6 million just for the intro. And let me tell ya it was awesome! There's a good video of it somewhere on utube. I'll see if I can find it.
There was a train on fire......cannons, Angus was a fanatic! Brian sounded very good. Then a ginormous inflatable Rosie comes out and mounts the train, movin to the music. Itr was very loud, my ears rang for 3 days. We forgot our earplugs and I think a majority of the people were wearing them... I had a blast!:D

Glad you had a good time at the show. I've never seen them live, so I am jealous!

Here's a photo I shot last night with my webcam after we got back from seeing My Bloody Valentine 3D:

http://www.zombiegirlsonline.net/images/zomb3d.jpg

I took it for a short post on my site demonstrating what today's 3D glasses look like (i.e. plastic nerd goggles) entitled "Woo-eee-ooo, I Look Just Like Buddy Holly."

Aren't they HOT?

Ah, the Seventies. . . .

Do you ever feel nostalgic for your crazy, wilder days?

Here's a photo I shot last night with my webcam after we got back from seeing My Bloody Valentine 3D:You saw THAT, Rhiya?! That sounds like a terrifying movie! :(

[kennation]

Here's ME!!!

[Zombie]

You saw THAT, Rhiya?! That sounds like a terrifying movie! :(

I'm not Rhiya, chief.

And the only terrifying thing about it was the quality of the acting, haha. The original wasn't any better, of course, but that's okay. We weren't there to see a cinematic masterpiece expressing all of life's emotions and joys or whatever - we were there to see a dude throw a pickaxe at us in 3D.

Today's 3D has come a looooong way. Now you can even move your head without everything going to hell.

[David]

Today's 3D has come a looooong way. Now you can even move your head without everything going to hell. :laugh:I saw a terrifying film last night -- terrifying & suspenseful. It was called "The Four Feathers" & it starred John Clements & Ralph Richardson & C. Aubrey Smith. There was such suspense & the terror of battle & of capture & of survival. It was a rousing adventure, a tale of the days of British Empire & Arabian campaigns.

Yeah, but are there dudes throwing pickaxes at me in 3D? I'm so desensitized, I need a gimmick.

Their song "Destination Unknown" is the song that Stevie had playing before Stand Back started last year at the solo tours.

I'm on the promenade alongside the East River next to the FDR Drive. It's my daily exercise walk, my office is one block away...

The 80's - Le Sigh!

I loved Missing Persons. They were the height of that whole 80's sort of post punk reentry into glam - the drummer is a prime example of that. The Killers' Brandon Flowers has resurrected this look and sound.

Here's me on the Zombie Apocalypse Preparation Kit panel a couple of weeks ago, at Balticon (sci fi convention in Baltimore). I am looking with skepticism upon my good friend Scott Sigler (best-selling horror author, failed pimp) as he tries to convince me of something or another (can't remember, was hung over from getting drunk with a guitar-playing pirate the night before, oops).

Good times, good times.

Oh I am sure I will meet someone new at school this year. I truly am hoping for that!!! I do have faith that it will happen- since I will be trying to spend more time with different people this coming year. I spent too much time with a couple of my guy friends- one of whom I don't really even like because he has not been supportive of ANYTHING I've ever done!

That being said, there are some great ladies here on the Ledge!!
