"Mick! Mick come back! Where are you going?"

I can't listen to this song withing hearing Stevie from the video commentary saying this while she's in the little room without a door. LOL!

[markolas]

You must download this version of Long Way to Go! I'm so into it recently. I'm not sure if it's an outtake, remix, or extended version but it rocks my world. You'll never listen to the album version again.

Thanks! I've spent the whole day compiling playlists - basically alternate versions of Stevie's albums; TOSOTM is the only one I haven't done, as I don't have any alts for those songs...I have some of the demos/outtakes (Lily Girl, etc.) but they are by far not my favorites. So, if you have any others, shove 'em my way, if you have a mind to. :)

Actually, the only albums of alternates I did were Bella Donna and Rock a Little; with TWH, SA, and TISL, I just took out the songs that I thought sucked and replaced them with ones that I like better. TWH is now a perfect album, and SA is about as perfect as I could get it.

[SapphireSister]

A little secret - I Can't Wait might be my favorite Stevie song ever but I'll never admit to it since she didn't write the music. It's the reason I discovered she even existed and fell head over heels in love w/her! Don't tell anyone .

Actually, the Enchanted mix is the one I wanted (the first one Brian posted...thanks again :) ). I like the song, but cannot abide the album version - those "Eye-Eye Love Yous" at the beginning are way overdone.

I completely understand! For a long time, it was my favorite because it was the first song I heard by Stevie (knowing that it was Stevie). I'd heard some of her other songs in the past, but did not know who sang them. "I Can't Wait" made me a fan!

[SapphireSister]

I also posted this in the remix thread.
This is absolutely the best mash-up of all time! I've had it for a while but didn't discover it's fabulocity until yesterday (I listened to it like 20 times, mind you). What could be better than 2 of my favorite songs of all time mashed together? Whoever did this, you are a God/Goddess! And you know how Stevie said she was inspired to write Stand Back after she heard Little Red Corvette and that the chords are similar and the whole Prince playing on it/connection? Well here's the proof: You all MUST download this immediately if you don't have it already:

Looking for alternates, different mixes, etc. of TOSOTM songs. I already have those 24 track safety slave reels or whatever.

I know there's one of Rooms On Fire and a cool one of Ooh My love but I'll have to look for those. The sound quality isn't great but listenable. I wish Rupert Hine would have kept Ooh My Love a little closer to the demo version instrumentally. There's a percussion thing going on in the demo that I really like.

So, having amassed a decent collection of demos and outtakes, I'm ready to start my live collection. Does anyone have soundboard or really high quality live shows they could post? I'm especially interested in the WWD and Wild Heart tours right now, but I'd like to hear anything that's considered essential Stevie shows.

'high quality' shows from the Wild Heart tour - just your average sounding 'audience' recordings. The only 'soundboard' recordings are usually just transfers of audio from videos of her concerts, such as her performance at the US Festival or audio extractions such as is the case of the CDR burnt from the audio portion of the HBO show during the WWD tour.

I can post some of those, but I have to locate them first (Which was easier when I still had my music listed on line via website)

[10milestereo]

^Thanks! I would really appreciate it if you could. I don't have most of the live videos, but I'm interested in tracking them down. Audience recordings are fine as long as they're decent sounding(vocals not drowned out, etc). I've been a boot collector and I find most audience recordings fairly listenable, but, of course, soundboard is best.

[mikebise]

SapphireSister has posted several excellent sounding audience boots from the 1983 tour, especially those versions of "Gypsy"!!!!!

Yes, I believe it was the show from Austin, TX. Will post the entire show later tonight or first thing tomorrow!

^Thanks so much, SapphireSister! :) I would really appreciate it. I have to sift through the thread and see what I can find that's already been posted.

okay...so does anyone have a copy of the extended Rooms on Fire from the 12" single. it goes on for another 30seconds to a minute longer than the remix on the cd single. I have the 12" and can listen to it...but would like it on cd. right now funds are really tight or i would buy the programming to do it myself and post it here... if anyone has it thank you!!!

I'm in the process of ripping/uploading the following shows:

Dec.13,1981 - HBO Show (Ripped from DVD) "The White Winger Dove Tour" (Professional recording)

July 7,1983 - Landover, MD (Professional recording aka "Soundboard")

August 15,1991 - San Jose, CA (Professional recording aka "Soundboard")

Should have a couple of them up in the next hour or two.

I *think* this is it. I'm at work so I can't check it by downloading it from my Mediafire account, but the file size is twice as large as the single remix. The song is actually 9 minutes, 12 seconds. Oh, and it's lossless/WAV as well, so it's 97MB.

Is this the proshot video, just the Whiskey? I'd LOVE to have a full 1991 concert!!! :blob1:

from the San Jose show, not the Whiskey...Complete show.

Currently uploading it, however I have to do some editing due to some burning errors since this show was ripped 'incorrectly' (One of the bad things about SN/LB/FM recordings in the past have been the bad practice of downloading MP3 files - burning to CDR - trading...At least in the past 8 years the QC for the SN/LB/FM recordings improved dramatically)

Here's an edit I made of the extended "Rooms On Fire" ~

[estranged4life]

MP3 Format (192 kbps)

Once again I can post flac files, however since this recording was sourced from a fan-created DVD, the audio would be lossy...If anyone is interested please let me know and I can upload/post those flac files.

That's an awesome quality version of that! How come all of my TOSOTM outtakes have such ****ty sound?

Thank you KarmaContestant and mike bise.
lovin the edit mike...it DOES have the longer ending that's on the 12" single... it's bugged me for over 20 years now that the cd single stops before she sings "everytime....e-everytime....there is maaaagiiiic"
again...both of you thank you!:)

because alot of the older demos where traded via cassette tape repeatedly, by the time the CDR era of trading started what once was a good sounding demo became degraded.

[gldstwmn]

I can't keep up with what's already been posted so here's two different mixes of Long Way To Go. One is 6:24 in length, the other is 6:26.

Yes!!!! I made the edit about 10 years ago or so, starting with the CD-single and then going into the 12-inch version. Two reasons: first was to edit out the LONGGGG middle instrumental. I wanna hear Stevie, not an instrumental. Second reason was to use that fantastic 12-inch ENDING,which, as you noted, was longer than the CD version.

YOUR mentioning it here is why I posted it! :)

"everytime....e-everytime....there is maaaagiiiic"
YES!!!!! I've thought that was the BEST part of the song!!!!!

True, but the 7-minute drum machine/keyboard demo of "Thousand Days" has been around since 1984, and the sound is still flawless.

Same for the 4 outtakes of "Mirror, Mirror". Incredible sound! And they aren't new to us, but have been around forever.

of the demos are going to suffer 'degraded sound', but in the Stevie Nicks trading circle there's more crappy sounding demos than in music by other artists - The Beatles, for example, I have ALOT of their demos recordings (Recorded long before I was born) that smoke about 95% of the Stevie Nicks stuff (In the past I had discussions with other traders about how much of the older Nicks related stuff sounded awful).

At least the master reels helped improve the demo quality overall, but it is still very lacking in my opinion.

YAY!! did you ever notice too that the 45 and 12" for Real Tears is a little longer than the cd? she ends with "make no mistake about THIS"... it's always made me a little batty that the vinyl versions are a tad longer!:(

[mikebise]

Yes!! But I've never transferred my vinyl of "Real Tears", and I no longer have a record player. :(

(I posted this show back in 2009 when it appearred on dimeadozen.org - thought I would repost it for those would like a 'soundboard' recording from the OSOTM Tour)

"Stevie played 2 shows at Great Woods on this tour of her very popular album "the other side of the mirror". I'm not sure if this is the 1st or 2nd night, I suspect the 19th because she mentions it being the 20th anniversary of Woodstock festival, which was from August 16-19 (spilling over into the 19th with Jimi), in any case this is not an FM broadcast as was the one banned awhile ago from 1983 era. this may be new to circulation. I haven't seen it up before, so here you go. I liked this tour and show, just wish she'd done the second song on that then new album (a long way to go, I like that one alot) still alot to like in this set which is probably close to complete. samples are in comments. Enjoy, Ian"

Unfortunately, Lindsay, it's apparently not Stevie. I was taken in by this ruse in 1997. It's a drag queen, or something like that. I know the names of 2 of the 3 people involved in this hoax.

That song makes my hair stand on end. :distress:

[vivfox]

Do I Bring You Down is a great song to me. And IDGAF what anybody says, to me it is Stevie singing and always will be.

[mikebise]

Viv, I actually feel the same way you do about "Do I Bring You Down?". I was really hurt when the hoax~sters laughed at me and told me I fell for their ruse ~ exactly as they planned! :distress:

I like the song and the lyrics, and it still sounds like Stevie to me, even if it's not.

[mikebise]

Would you post it for me anyway? I suspect my copy is on a long dead har drive somewhere. :(

Great Demo! Thanks 4 posting, don't think I ever had this one. Has anyone ever noticed that this demo and Welcome To the Room..Sara demo sound familiar?

Stevie sounds great on this. They really really should have released "Ooh My Love" as the 2nd single from OSOTM. This song is so infectious and catchy. Major pissed opportunity.:p

[mikebise]

I think that demo of "Ooh My Love" is just fantastic ~ Stevie is ON FIRE!!!!! All kinds of cool differences than with the final album version... Stevie's voice is just incredible here!

Maybe we'll find an upgrade!

[mikebise]

Thank you! :wavey:

You're very, very welcome! ALWAYS glad to share Stevie!

And I want to thank Brian for that The Other Side Of The Mirror concert ~ I never even heard of that one!!!!!!! Fantastic!!! I bought the Westwood One records of the Houston Concert from WynnCo in Early 1990, and always wished I had a perfect 1989 "How Still My Love"... and now I do! And "Juliet" and "Talk To Me" as bonuses!!!! Way to go!!!

BTW, Brian, go listen to the 1998 "Gold And Braid" I posted and let us know what concert it's from!!!

[windbecame]

WOW!!! thank you estranged4life.. i've waited forever to have a soundboard from 89 of How Still My Love.
that's my favorite tour for that particular song.
I am bummed about a lot of the rest of the show tho... i'd almost swear she's drunk on top of the klonopin.... just about every other song she's either off a beat or slurring her words and i won't even get into all the lyrics she messes up... but the How Still my Love was Perfection!!!
again THANK YOU!

[mikebise]

I was just listening to some old LIVE Stevie bootlegs on my computer, specifically "Blue Lamp" from the 1981 tour ~ Wow!!! Waddy really went CRAZY with that guitar!!!!!!!

Anyway, my first two LIVE bootlegs I ever got in 1988 (from WynnCo ~ I know! I know!) were of VERY good sound quality. Of course, they were on cassette, and I can't even find my cassettes stored at my Mom's house in Central Texas >sigh< Anyway, they were very good in the sound quality:

Bella Donna Tour 1981 ~ Houston, TX (Opening Night)

Mirage Tour 1982 ~ Dallas, TX (Stevie's Songs Only)

Does anyone have these concerts to post?

PS ~ Actually, I just remembered my very first Stevie LIVE bootleg was vinyl of Fleetwood Mac Plays The City Of Sin 1977, or something like that. Anyone have Stevie's songs from that concert, too? I remember a fantastic "Gold Dust Woman"!

Thanks, Mike, for this really cool demo... I hadn't heard it before. :D

I did my thing, lol, and tried to improve the sound quality some. I used some noise reduction, but there's still a lot of hiss so as not to dull all the high-end audio (or sound overly processed). As with lots of demos, the stereo image is unusual, so I have tried playing with the left and right channels to get a stronger vocal presence in the center of the stereo image. Unfortunately, this can detract from some of the keyboards which are surprisingly crisp in the original file Mike posted. I re-equalized: boosting the bass drum hit, while decreasing some of the "boominess" of the synth toms (the "ba-da-dum") that seemed to overtake the low-end frequencies; tried to eliminate this high-frequency whine that was very apparent in a few spots. I also faded the intro a bit and adjusted the fade-out (removing unnecessary blank hiss). Finally, I added compression and a few various processors. The sound is definitely louder, which may make it a bit muddy in spots. Overall, I hope you guys find it to be an improvement. But as always, don't let this replace the original, untouched file Mike posted as you can never undo what has been done to the audio.

Wow!!! Once again, thanks, Jeff!!!! I always LOVE your enhancements!!!

[KarmaContestant]

Wow!!! Once again, thanks, Jeff!!!! I always LOVE your enhancements!!!

I'm looking forward to hearing both versions tonigh. Ultimately, I need to replace most of my demos from the RAL and OSOTM eras, as I made a stupid mistake a few years back and burned them all to CDs as MP3s as 'backup copies' and then replaced my hard drive, never thinking about the further loss of quality from the extra compression.

It was one of those Doh! moments. Why I didn't just copy them as data files, I have no idea.

[mikebise]

I've spent the last year updating my outtakes/demos from Rock A Little especially, and the results have been phenomenal! I had given up and really thought some songs like "Rose Garden", "She Still Loves Him", "Ooh Ooh Baby" and others were beyond listenable. But this past year, I've uncovered such amazing upgrades in marvelous sound... the effort is worth it!!!!

Haha... I've had my share of similar mistakes in years past. The worst one that comes to mind was where I had recorded a few original songs on an old, old computer... nothing ground-breaking, but I was reasonably proud of them. Because space was much more limited on hard-drives then, I couldn't afford to keep them stored there. So I burned the songs to a CD (yes, stupidly on ONLY 1 CD). I had a CD Recorder at the time (no CD burning drive), so it was a slightly more laborious process (songs recorded in real-time). Well anyways, my computer died soon after, so I thought it was great I had the forethought to burn the songs to a CD. Well a friend of mine really wanted to borrow the CD and let he and his g/f listen to it on the way back to his house... I made it clear it was the only copy I had, and reluctantly I let him borrow it. Sure enough, a few weeks passed and I started getting worried and wanted my disc back. He had no clue where it was (his life was a bit disorganized at the time, to put it kindly)... never recovered it. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper, lol!

Anyways, Mike and Matthew, let me know when you hear it and compare it to the original as I value both of your opinions. Doing this kind of enhancement is a very subjective thing (and can sound very different on other sound systems), so it helps to get some feedback. :)

"That's Alright" ~ Outtake/Very Different
http://www.mediafire.com/?pr0e8e9kijttw6a

This outtake of "That's Alright" sounds like a Fleetwood Mac demo version from the white album or Rumours period. Listen to Christine's keyboard sound and the quality of Stevie's voice. Does anyone know anything about this particular version?

[mikebise]

Randy, that "That's Alright" is indeed from a batch of Mirage outtakes that Maureen Loftus sold/traded in 1999~2000. There are quite a few songs/takes in this batch, and most of them by Stevie, as is usually the case.

Not true Masters, these are tapes that Maureen got in 1998~2000 from a man who was actually working with Mick on a Fleetwood Mac boxed set of rarities that never came about. She also got a ton from Tango In The Night, as well as dozens of Stevie solo outtakes and demos. If it's not a Master and it's in pretty good quality, then it probably came from Maureen Loftus. Lots of people had issues with her, but at least we got a LOT of Stevie Rarities due to her! :)

Does anyone have a better recording than the one below of "Twisted" from Boston's MixFest, 1996?

I love the vocal on this particular performance, which is vastly superior to the bland singing on the pro recordings from Pittsburgh and A Day in the Garden."

I was at this show, and it floored me then, especially when she revs up for - and delivers - a chilling full-voiced belt at the 4 minute mark. She was invested in the entire performance.

Would you possibly have "Landslide", "Sara", "Rhiannon", "Sisters Of The Moon" and "Dreams" separated out, like you did "Angel"? My computer says it can't download so large a file at one time.

I'm sorry for being a pain. Thanks for sharing!

"One More Tomorrow"

Lyrics by Stevie Nicks, Music by Sandy Stewart

One more tomorrow
Come early before dawn
'Cause the dawn brings the shadows
Until the dawn
Ooh, stay in the moonlight
Challenge the stars
Stay until all of your dreams have burned down the walls
Soon will come the daylight
And the night will be gone
And the dreams turn inside and inside out

Sometimes to turn away from you
And not even fall
Sometimes to be taken by you
How long has it been?
As it all begins again
Well, I wish I was strong enough to do the right thing

But I'm not
And you know that
No, I'm not
And you know that

Don't even start
Don't even start

So I sang to him
Come the daylight
And the night will go
Dreams turn inside, then turn inside out
Try to turn me away
You must leave her now

One more tomorrow
Come early before dawn
'Cause the dawn brings the shadows
Stay 'til the dawn
Stay 'til the moon
Challenge the stars
Stay 'til the dreams burned down
Soon will come the daylight
And the night will have gone

It's hard sometimes to turn away from you
Not even pause to be taken by you
Just how long has it been?
As it all begins again
Well, I wish I was strong enough...

One more tomorrow
Come early before dawn....

I never thought they ever performed it live. It would be interesting to hear. Kenny really pushed Stevie to deliver an amazing vocal performance in the studio. I wonder if she was able to translate that on stage.

What "Has Anyone Ever Written For You?" is this? The Westwood One vinyl did not contain that song, nor "No Spoken Word" and "I Can't Wait".

Was there an actual live broadcast of it, containing "Has Anyone Ever Written For You?" on it?

When did Fleetwood Mac do Whole Lotta Trouble?

For Tango in the Night around 1986, or so I read on here.

[markolas]

Is there a RAL version of Listen to the Rain, or am I crazy?

[mikebise]

Is there a RAL version of Listen to the Rain, or am I crazy?

Crazy. ;) Stevie wrote "Listen To The Rain" in early 1991 and recorded it (with Jon Bon Jovi producing!) as the first single for TimeSpace. Apparently, Atlantic nixed it and forced her to record "Sometimes It's A Bitch" and "Love's A Hard Game To Play" apparently.

The early "Listen To The Rain" is from 1991.

And there is lots of evidence that Fleetwood Mac recorded "Whole Lotta Trouble" in 1986 ~ magazine reports, interviews, Ginny Kamano flat out stating it ~ but the 1986 early recording of the song does not sound like FM, but more like Stevie's 1986 touring band or hired studio help.

I don't think we've ever heard the Tango versions of "Whole Lotta Trouble" and "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You?", only Stevie's own early versions, with her touring band or other hired musicians.

Here is the 1986 version you were asking about:

http://www.mediafire.com/?d24t7iii0nebaiu

[markolas]

The early "Listen To The Rain" is from 1991.

But there is a pre-Street Angel version...so not completely crazy. :)

That's interesting about Timespace, tho. This is the first I've heard of Stevie having written new songs for it (except for Desert Angel, which I'd managed to block out until just now). LTTR isn't her best song ever, but I'd have much preferred it over SIAB or IAHGTP...ick.

Anywhoozle, if someone has that '91 Listen to the Rain handy, I'd be grateful if you'd post it. I'm just going through all the demos/outtakes I have and noticing some that I had at one time, but evidently don't anymore.

I don't think we've ever heard the Tango versions of "Whole Lotta Trouble" and "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You?", only Stevie's own early versions, with her touring band or other hired musicians.

Ah-ha! If someone could post the '86 version(s) of WLT, or direct me to where they're already posted, again I would be grateful. Also, I was looking through some of the threads and saw mention of more than one FM demo/outtake of Juliet - was I misreading? I love Juliet & WLT, so I'd be very interested in any pre-OSOTM versions that might be out there.

You're a treasure trove of info on all this - thank you bunches! :xoxo:

That could be quite the undertaking, with the advent of master reels especially.

Perhaps it's something I will start to work on tonight after work. I have to move in two months and the wait is killing me. This would give me something to do and distract me from my OCD packing.

Maybe the list can be posted on this site, in the Stevie forum as a sticky at the top?

These might help as well; these are captures of the list that used to appear on SaraRhiannon.com (The Stevie Nicks Underground). The only problem is sometimes there are multiple versions listed for a song, but really they are the same track playing at different speeds, or one is cut off a couple seconds early. I personally wouldn't list these variances as different versions.

I think I'll start putting one together on my own, and then you or I can copy/paste it into your site after some checking and comparisons from other Ledgies to make sure it all seems in order.

One from 2003: http://replay.waybackmachine.org/20030811074506/http://www.sararhiannon.com/demos.html

Someone's playing slide on it so it's unlikely but not impossible that it's FM. More likely it's Waddy or Mike Campbell.

Here's the link to that 1991 version of Listen To The Rain (so you don't need to go searching through all 96 pages of this thread for it. LOL.

People blame Klonopin for Street Angel not being one of Stevie's best albums but listen to the arrangement of this. It's stellar. And yeah her performance is amazing, but with the power and energy of this arrangement it's a total rock and roll song. The guitar on the SA version sounds like something off a bad karaoke recording and the slower tempo makes the song just drag. When I sang in a band and they would play one of our songs in a slower tempo it was such work to just get through it because I was so used to putting a lot of power and energy to it. It's hard to give a stellar performance with a bland backing track.

And I hate to admit this but that's how I feel about Running Through The Garden. I usually love Lindsey's guitar work, in fact it's the whole reason I love some of the FM songs that I do, but in RTTG it sounds so flat and lifeless to me, like the backing music for a video game, that it totally steals all the energy from what could have been a very powerful song. The opening with just Stevie and the guitar strumming gets you all revved up for something spectacular and then the electric guitar comes in and it's like you've just opened a treasure chest to find it full of tokens to Chuck E. Cheese. Sure, it's something wonderful, just not quite as wonderful as what you were expecting.

There is a copyright from 1991 for a single release from Atlantic for "Listen To The Rain" with "Desert Angel" as the b~side. I've always wondered if Atlantic deciding against "Listen To The Rain" at the last minute was why Stevie started her tour in July 1991 a few months ahead of TimeSpace actually being released. The tour was already set, but the album was pushed back?

I've seen this one listed on a few old trade sites but I've never actually come across it anywhere. Apparently Stevie did a benefit in someone's backyard in 1996 for AHI. I would love to hear this, as the post-Street Angel, pre-Dance era Stevie fascinates me. I like that she was trying to gain her sea legs again, and she did "Rooms on Fire" at a few of these shows.

Was this the concert in April 1996 where Stevie showed off her new Atkins Diet thinness? I remember that Stevie performed "After The Glitter Fades" at that concert. I had pictures someone sent me of it back then.

Speaking of 1996, does anyone have good sound for Stevie's other 1996 concerts:

October ~ Boston Mix~Fest

I am uploading two files for you... both are enhanced versions I did much earlier in this thread... I will be posting them in probably about 5-10 mins.

You're awesome, Jeff! THANK YOU! What era is this song from, again?

[jeffd8382]

You're awesome, Jeff! THANK YOU! What era is this song from, again?

You're welcome! There's been a little debate over that... lots of times it was referred to as a Tango in the Night demo due to it being talked about as a song for inclusion on that album, but considering the band used on the circulated versions does not sound anything like Fleetwood Mac, I believe the consensus is it was recorded somewhere around 1985-1986.

I'm having serious issues with my upload speed, lol! So for now, I will upload the mp3 of the song so you can at least hear it. When I get the WAV files of my enhanced versions uploaded, I will post those too!

[mikebise]

It's most likely from the Rock A Little era, 1985 or 1986. I love it as a slice of Stevie History!

Plus, it's good to place a song with a title. When I got Mick's crappy book in 1990, I would spend hours wondering what "What Has Rock And Roll Ever Done For You?" would sound like. I think it's a cool, weird song, so perfectly encapsulating 1986, for me.

Periodically, I have worked on some demos/outtakes, trying to improve the sound quality... most have been posted in this thread at various times (although I have added a couple today). In case anyone wants to check them out in one place, I thought I would share the mediafire folders here.. so feel free to download any you might have missed:

Part 1:

Part 2:

:woohoo:

Newly added today (in part 2): "Edge of Seventeen" (extended outtake/mix) & "Maybe Love..." (outtake version)

Also, sorcerer999, you'll find both enhanced versions of the same "What Has Rock & Roll Ever Done For You" there... I have kept both because I'm not sure which sounds better, so you can decide for yourself! :)

I just added a RAL demo of "Greta" to Part 1, which I found on an old CD yesterday... the sound is not terrific, but I tried to enhance the quality the best I could from the source I had.

You guys might find a special surprise in a separate folder there as well! ;)

These are amazing. Thank you so much for doing all of this. I've never heard this version of Maybe Love. I never cared for the album version, but I always liked that one demo of it that was longer and sounded more like a Fleetwood Mac song. But this is a totally different take on the album version and I really like it. And that guitar bridge is absolutely stunning.

You're welcome! Glad you like it! I think it might be my favorite as well.. or perhaps second to one other version, but I agree that most of the outtakes I have preferred to the one on the album as well.

I'm hoping that if I just mention it enough, the universe will have mercy on us & it will materialize.

Also, thanks for those enhanced versions of The Wild Heart tracks - the album versions of Gate & Garden and Sable on Blond sound so sad next to the Wild Heart tracks from Enchanted. These sound great, tho!

Hi all - I am looking for mp3's of the Youngstown Oh show during the Gold Dust Tour - this has an amazing Rhiannon - she even says at the end she forgot what year it was.

[hveasey]

I was going through the MANY pages here, and DLed a demo of "Juliet". Listening to it, I thought, "This is crappy sound! I have way better quality than that, don't I?" Turns out, I do:

I think it's pretty wonderful!

Thank you for sharing! The demo is indeed pretty wonderful.

Yeah, I was really surprised, since I don't remember where I imported it from. I'm thinking from Maureen's Mystery Box, when we had some of those cassettes enhanced. I had about 5 of the same "Juliet", different speeds and varying sound quality, but truly all the same singular version, not 5 different demos. This was the best one by far, so I deleted the others (cleaning up my Stevie Files!).

I've said it dozens of times: NEVER give up on your Stevie Outtakes & Demos! Your favourite one might be found upgraded just around the corner! And it's happened for me several times, and I love to share that positive experience! :)

Oh, Christopher, I was truly referring about the past, and never giving up hope on upgrades, and not making a conscious correlation with the present day. Maybe subconsciously???

Well, as for the present, I hope that Time doesn't take it's toll upon us all. And, NO, that's not an allusion to any rare versions of "Affairs Of the Heart", merely quoting Stevie lyrics. ;)

Hey guys-
Can you please post any high quality instrumentals you have of Stevie's songs? I really need them! Thanks in advance. Surprises to come...

I heard when they did the new remixes for Stand Back they watermarked the digital files the DJs got so a bunch of bootleg mixes didn't get out. I'm wondering if that's still the case or if they're floating around anywhere. I still want to do a really good mashup with the vocals of Stand Back over the music of Little Red Corvette.

This is the one I have of Little Red Corvette vs. Stand Back. Only my 2 favorite songs of all time! Enjoy.

Hello again, everyone!

Just added another song to my enhanced demo uploads... this one is from a radio interview where they played "Are You Mine?", the Rock A Little demo featuring Billy Burnette (not the Jim Ladd interview version from 1983). The sound quality was fairly decent to start with, but this cuts out most of the lead-in interview section that was in the circulating mp3. Unfortunately, the source was an mp3 (with a bitrate of 128 kbps). If anyone has a higher quality version (or LOSSLESS ) and can share it, that would be wonderful! Until then, I hope everyone will enjoy this if you haven't heard it already.

Also, does anyone have/can they share lossless versions of these other Rock A Little-era demos:
"Night Gallery"
"Ooh Ooh Baby"
"Thousand Days" (faster sax version)

Thanks in advance! :)

Hi there. Thank you for sharing this. I have it already. And it's really good. I wanted to do one where I do the whole vocal track of Stand Back over the music of Little Red Corvette rather than mixing them together.

[MacwoodFleet]

This is my first experience sharing through mediafire. Hope you all enjoy. It's lossless sound. The occasional distortion you hear is actually the speakers at the event (Chris Nicks was disappointed in the sound system and mildly vented his dissatisfaction when I talked to him after the performance). To this day it bums me out that this is an incomplete recording. When I flipped the tape, I pressed play by accident and not record! See, I told you I'm not technical! Enjoy, and let me know what you think.

[Artemis]

Wow, thank you so much for sharing that! Rhiannon, in particular, is really stunning. The whole Post-Street Angel Pre-Dance era Stevie utterly fascinates me.
