Right now I'm taking a breather from Dance Dance Revolution Supernova...:D My sister and brother in law bought themselves a PS2 for Christmas and we've been playing that game for about an hour and a half now...it's SO fun - and a good little workout!

I think we're now getting ready to either watch It's a Wonderful LIfe or play a card game with some family friends who are also here...

On another note - I've never seen so much snow in my life. Yes, I lived in Rochester for two years...but it never dumped this much snow at once...there are little paths carved out around my apartment complex...with walls of snow on each side...don't know what I'm gonna do for Clancy's pees and poos as the snow is pretty much as high as her...blah.

Anyway -now it's time to play catch-up on the Ledge :D

Burning a CD for my pals and realizing my music collection is horribly disorganized. There are cd's laying all over. The empty cases are mixed with the full cases. Alphabetizing went out the window. I have 20 or more never opened. Not enough storage racks. Something needs to be done.:distress:

HomerMcvie

I'm GREAT with putting away all the "store bought" CDs. It's all the downloaded ones, that don't have proper cases, that I'm a ****, for putting away. I mean, I'm a tightass, and buy blanks without cases! What am I supposed to do with all these? I have a bunch of the CD "books". They're all full. I've quit downloading music, for the most part, because I have more than I'll ever be able to listen to!

Last year, I finally bought a storage unit for my LP player, CD player, amplifier and speakers. Or, my parents and I did. Like a media cabinet, with bookshelves on either side. It's veneer. I made precise measurements beforehand and shopped around, so it fits great.

My room looks so much better without an LP rack on the floor and CDs clogging my desk! I actually organized everything alphabetically on one bookcase this summer. The other one is full of books. By now, it's all a mess like yours: CDs are out of cases, liner notes are in odd places, LP covers on top of the record player.

Seems like you're a pretty handy guy, Sparky. Would you have the time and/or resources to craft stuff with that new power drill and materials? One of these days I'll have to learn to do such things around the house. In boy scouts I learned the basics. Would have loved to stay in through Eagle Scout, but health issues made that impossible.

Anyway, I feel your "pain." Good luck. We both ought to resolve to clean out the musics by the end of '07!

Oh, I could build myself something, I just don't have the time. One of my best pals is a wood working wiz. I should have demanded a cabinet for Xmas.

It doesnt take long to reorganize cd's, as long as the discs being organized are my official releases. I use "Coca-Cola" plastic store totes to store my bootlegs and thus it only takes about 20-30 minutes to reorganize and/or reloate the discs.

Btw, I had to contend with 2 kids today, But I love my niece and nephew so it wasnt that bad

Ah - yeah 20-30 minutes isn't too bad....it sounds like you know what you've got - so you must have a pretty good storage system heh...mine? I only have 75 or so - and used to alphabetize them..that went to hell a couple of moves ago and now they're a mess

I love spending time with my nephew - and even his friends...and kids of people I know....random kids who scream at the top of their lungs all day? Not a fan. Good thing I didn't see them outside, the urge to lob a giant snowball at their heads would have been too great.

Snag - I can't ask them to shut the f**k up becaue they don't speak English

lol...weeeelll...I opened my door - because I thought that I was also hearing tv...which I was...and then the kid started screaming again (this is play screaming, I don't think they're beating the kids over there) and I just yelled "SHUT THE F**K UP ALREADY!!!!!!!" Then I slammed my door.....that stopped it :D

I'm a real treat to have as a neighbor  I hate noise. I hate when I can't hear my own damn tv because someone either has their own tv or music up too loud....or when someone has rabid screaming children.

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I don't think apartment living is for me. Sadly my lease still has 6 months left in it :distress:

having a neighbor who plays music louder than my TV or my stereo (Which rarely is cranked up louder than "10"-It goes to 30. If I want to blast something very loud I put on these objects called "HEADPHONES" to enjoy the music WITHOUT disturbing my NEIGHBORS) is an annoying pain in the ass. The former neighbors to our East used to play their bass thumping garbage at all times of the night, Or until I couldnt take it anymore and called the city hall to make a complaint.

I was ever so glad to see 'em move. Btw, here's how smart these early 20-something gangbanging-wannabe's were (Who I dubbed "The Yo-Boys")...This past summer when I was mowing the fence that borders both the neighbors and our properties, I could see that these dumbasses had marijuana plants out in plain sight growing 'em in pots as if they were tomatoes.

Ugh. the thumping bass is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves in life. Seriously. I am a raging and complete bitch when it comes to that. I hate it.

I also agree with you - if you want to listen to your music that loud - put on some headphones - the rest of the world doesn't need to be subjected to the sh*t ya listen to (not you - I mean the thumpies). Of course it's different between house and apartment - I think in an apartment one should be a bit more aware of the fact that they're living in very close proximity to others - and therefore live with respect toward others.

But no one does that - and then I get bitter and angry that I'm being respectful but no one else is. I'm thinking of trying to get out of my lease due to a "nervous condition" or "anger issues" or the ulcer I think I'm getting being pissed off at all my neighbors all the time  Maybe they'll let me out of my lease with a doctor's note??? :p

Sad thing is I love the actual apartment, I love the convenience or the gym and the pool - but the people here are such assholes!!! I've tried just being an asshole back (loud music and tv) but they just turn their **** up in retaliation

Of course when I played my bongos über loud that one time - it shut 'em up briefly...

Anyway....at least I have a roof over my head..and for that I am grateful :o

Omg. Omg. That's all i can say. Just oh my god. What am i doing right now? Freaking the fukc out. That's what i'm doing. So i went out tonight with some friends. This guy came over and we ended up playing pool. He was nice enough at first. But then he started freaking out saying sh*t like "you think im ugly dont you" " you dont care about me" etc. I do NOT get scared of dudes. This guy creeped me out. He would freak out then be like "im just teasing" i tried to get away but then he would freak out again and i was afraid he would do something so i just tried to keep him calm. THEN. When we were finally getting ready to leave i thought he was gone-he came up behind me and BLEW on the back of my head. WTF? That was it for me. We jetted and had bouncer guy walk us to our car. Needless to say-it will be AT LEAST another 7 months before i go out again. I will definitely have nightmares tonight. It was that bad. :distress:
