:o seriously. I will go somewhere looking like complete and total ****-no makeup, unwashed hair, sweat pants, holes in my clothes, glasses on. But I'm carrying a $250 purse..

I think charlotte russe has a BUNCH of cute purses all the time and they are fairly cheap. They have cute shoes too, although they let me down last night. I have been looking for the camel boots (you know the ones:lol: ) with the fur (fake fur) at the top of them. I thought for SURE they would have some. Nope. But I did find some last night :D so now I look like Pocahontis

multi-tasking my ass off.

i am working on a ridiculous film analysis due thursday morning [part 2 of 2, thank god], trying to study for my french final on thursday at 11, in the midst of studying for my gre [which i'll be taking on the 22nd] and completing graduate school applications -- one of which is due on friday.

Ok - so I bought this purse. It bettter not suck. I went to Kohl's on my back to work from picking up a sandwich...they didn't have it at the store...and I didn't like anything in the store...

As far as I could see they didn't even have this brand...

Sooo I took a chance and bought it online..I HATE buying purses without first seeing them, carrying them etc....I'm crossing my fingers that this one is ok...

Currently waiting for special election results and being thankful that I don't have Marissa's workload right now :p

well hmm, wonder why it's warmer then! :p

no but really, I think it has to do with the situation of my room in the house or something like that. Two of my walls are to the outside (if that makes sense), and apparently that's why my room is always the polar opposite of most of the rest of the house. Plus, my only heating vent is above the door so it's difficult to feel unless I get one of those deflectors.

i love pomeranians. my neighbor rescued a pom that she found wandering the streets, starved and missing most of her hair. :( after a couple months of TLC she plumped up and grew all her hair back - she's quite a sight!

so sumi? plz. that's hilarious.

we have three dogs too! two of them are mutts, and smidge (in that second picture i posted) is a rat terrier. all of them are pound puppies.

i love pomeranians. my neighbor rescued a pom that she found wandering the streets, starved and missing most of her hair. :( after a couple months of TLC she plumped up and grew all her hair back - she's quite a sight!

lol aww, how adorable. My aunt has a Pom too but I don't know if she's full-bred or not. Her name is Teenie (apparently it's genetic - I'm surprised I didn't end up with a name like Kid).

Anyways, pics of my dogs!

this one is Amy, the oldest. The pic was kind of dark but that's because my old digi cam was crap with the flash.

Buddy, the 'middle child'. This was taken right after his hair was cut, when he's most adorable.

A recent article I read on calling in sick when you're not said to clear your throat for five minutes right before calling - then you'll sound all horrible

Ooor tell them you have Irritable Bowel Syndrom (minimal questions will come with that one) :p

I think a good old, "I don't feel very well...I hope I'm not coming down with something..." is a good precursor for a sick day.

Start the coughs. Work up a real good one. Harsh, crunchy sounding and racked. Sing along to an old Stevie recording way out of your range tonight.
Then you will sound like real hell in the AM when you call in.

I am waiting for a hateful meeting to start.

Then I have to go the liquor store to stock up for my party.

And wrap some presents. And vacuum out the fireplace. And clean the kitchen counter. And change my sheets before I collapse onto them at about midnight.

:distress: I'm sorry you're going through this :( I hope they start to get better and you get some good info.

they would get better, but lately they're so severe I can sleep easily 10-12 hours due to the pain.

As for the Arachnoid Cyst/tumor, it had expanded from the CT scan I had in May 2005 (In May 2005 it was 2cm x 3cm, After the MRI in April of this year it was 2.5cm x 3.5cm), so I am on stronger meds to lessen the pain (Was on Atenolol 25mg, now I am on Verapamil 80mg - Both are meds for high pressure, But since I dont have any blood pressure probs I have to be careful cause the med could slow or even stop my heart! The Atenolol was making my chest hurt, so I followed "Doogie's" direction and quit taking it.)

This uckin-fay cyst/tumor is also responsible for my back troubles. So I definitely need the followup MRI.

If the cyst/tumor is expanding there's two options for treatment:

#1-If it is not sub-arachnid (In other words, if it has not grown below the surface on my brain) it can be removed via 'laser treatment'. It cannot be cut out due to possible hemorrage and/or paralysis, so the 'laser' will eliminate it. I will ask the medical staff to shave both sides of my head so I will have a mohawk hairstyle instead of one weird one-side-of-the-mellon hair do (Sadly, I wont be able to headbang anymore...Boo-frikkedy-hoo!!!)

#2-If it is sub-arachnid, a 'shunt' will be inserted into it to lessen the expansion of the cyst/tumor. So I will be screwed since it will eventually get worse (Time to learn yoga so I can kiss my ass...Kiss it goodbye that is  ) leading to all kinds of fun things, such as M.S., Alzheimers, Parkinson's (My Grandmother suffered from Parkinson's), weaken immune system, possible A.L.S., mental health issues such as dementia & schizophrenia, etc.

Oh well, Rather have all this medical brew-ha-ha's happen to me than to anyone else...I can hang, Cause as My Mom loved to say "You're a tough punk".

BTW..NOT you!!! hahah:lol:

lol...I've been there....

I was pissed for stupid stupid reasons...

1) An announcement went out early this month that mine and a co-workers birthdays would be celebrated at our monthly staff meeting. This always means cake.

We didn't get any damn cake. We got a shoddy fruit and cheese platter and some stale crackers...and some left over juice and V8 was put out too

I felt totally gyped...and luckily wasn't the only one - the co-worker made a loud snarky comment about how she and I were going to buy a cupcake and sing happy birtday to each other....so I am so bitter that we didn't get a cake...everyone ELSE gets cake

2) We're doing a Secret Santa thing at work - one little gift every day, a bigger one on Friday.

I have gotten the dumbest and most thoughtless **** from my ss. I put all this time and effort into making my gifts cute and thoughtful etc....and I get crap in return. I know...that's so not the spirit...and I realize how petty I'm being....and it's better to give than receive blah blah blah whatever...I don't want crap.

I'm so not participating next year

Ok...those were the ridiculous reasons I was pissed off last night, all in all I just felt like ****...and I went to be so early and as a result of my negative focus I had the worst dreams....

*tries to shift attitude* I hope today is better.....

Mine was way silly - that didn't stop me from venting it out to hell in the last page...:p

It just feels good to get it off your chest...

Yeah, it is silly but I tend to agree. It truly is the thought that counts, and when someone gives me something just for the sake of giving something, it brings you down. I'd rather you make me a mix CD, or bake me some cookies, or frame some photos - nothing expensive, but things I like.

I guess it's harder when it's a work environment & you don't know people that well. But when I got married & asked for NO gifts, my neighbor/friend got me a figurine fro a collection that she collects. Wow. Thanks. I have it, I didn't say anything because I didn't want to be rude or seem ungrateful, but 2 years later it still pisses me off a little.

lol...I hate it when people get you something they collect, although I'm sure the intent is a nice one.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not expected diamonds over here - and there is a price limit - but I've stayed well within the limit while getting/putting together cool stuff...and some other people are getting cool stuff...

I? Get a fu**ing can of stale cookies from the Dollar Store

I'm feeling better now, after venting...and really there's nothing I can do but get over it - so I'm gonna...

The lack of birthday cake, on the other hand...is still pissing me off

lol...I've been there....

/vent.

So there ya go

NOw...SPILL!!!!

'man that totally sucks! you should eat your little cupcake right in front of them!!! I would mostly be mad if I were that girl!!! That would make me feel left out :( I didnt' get a cake from ANYONE on my birthday, so

and about the gifts-ITA. I feel like I am a very good gift giver. I put a lot of thought into it and it stresses me out when I don't find that "perfect" gift. I'm that way with cards too. I'll drive to another store if need be. THen I pick up the right one and I just...know.

Oh. Because all those things together were sounding like something I would be just as sad to miss as I was to miss Vegas.

I was thinking "could this party possibly be so cool that it has volleyball nets and hammocs? I thought I was the only one who liked to play volleyball at parties!!!"

Your party still sounds great, though, I remember you told me about it last year.

Hmm, I've never played volleyball at night at a party...*muses*. Okay, I'm back. Just fantasising about a party with volleyball and a pool and a bar. And in the fantasy, everyone is good at volleyball, but not too good. We had this standing company wide thing for the bar I used to work at. It was all day, up in the park on a huge field, and there was drinks and various sporting things going on. One year I played v-ball the whole time. The dual pleasure in that is both getting to play volleyball, and people being amazed that I am good at v-ball. There were pickup games of frisbee and football.
I think if I had parties, they would be sporty. Sporty and drinky.

Last night was ye old holiday party at work. Needless to say, I drank too much. Worse yet, I went out and did it all over again tonight. Just with non-work people. I was tipping back the colorado bulldogs and loving it. So I'm quite tipsy.
me too! I had another one so im ready to go. We can be drunk together!

if the interview I just read was real or not, W.Axl Rose announced publicly that GNR's "Chinese Democracy" has an official 'tentative' release date of March 6,2007...Hopefully this album will finally appear.

i saw! holla.

just cuz, here's a review of the last 2 days of my life:

-left for georgia at 3 p.m. because my mom had to work
-found out halfway there that bryan was going on holiday leave after his graduation ceremony
-got to columbus @ 2:50 a.m., i am a total driving beast
-woke up at 6:30 a.m., went to bryan's graduation
-left ft. benning @ 1:15 p.m.
-got home @ 1:45 a.m., i am once again a total driving beast. we hit terrible traffic in atlanta on the way home (apologies to strand, i was cursing him in my head b/c he's the only person - aside from julia & suzanne sugarbaker - i know from atlanta), but i made record time on the way down: cleveland-ft. benning in 11 hrs. and 50 min! w00t.

and this post is completely retarded, but i'm about to drop.

gnight.

I second the Yay!! Thankfully I don't need a membership as my apartmetn complex has a gym :D And I just got back from there....today I did 20 minutes of cardio then legs and a really lazy ab workout (because I did a more thorough one yesterday...)

Shoes ARE annoying to shop for...but it looks like I'm going to be needing new tennis shoes soon too...boo.

You're lucky! I still need to get my azz in gear when it comes to exercising. I've been putting off buying exercise dvds. There's a new year's resolution I need to keep, since I refuse to go to the gym. :sorry:

that's awesome that your apt has a gym. i decided to bite the bullet and renew my membership today b/c it's just been too hard for me to get a good cardio workout in the winter. i have dvd's, but i don't enjoy doing cardio dvd's, only yoga & pilates.
