that's awesome that your apt has a gym. i decided to bite the bullet and renew my membership today b/c it's just been too hard for me to get a good cardio workout in the winter. i have dvd's, but i don't enjoy doing cardio dvd's, only yoga & pilates.

How are the yoga dvds treatin ya? So you had canceled your gym membership due to car issues, right? Have those been resolved?

I know if I didn't have this gym so easily accesible I'd be really hurting - I'm not motivated enough to bike consistently and I do have that couch to 5K thing bookmarked - but yeah...I'm more of a gym girl.

Nosebleed??

Maybe you should uh, get that checked out? Go to a clinic or something. I've never had a nosebleed in my life. I remember this girl in 1st grade getting one just before we went home, and there was blood everywhere... Ew.

yeah. they're not bad nosebleeds, they're just annoying! and frequent. blahhhh.

ok, i already gave you the link, but for urrbody else, here are my pictures from georgia (http://carrie721.smugmug.com/gallery/2245327)! along with some dog pics ... of course.

my poor baby saturn is still broken, but my mom's been letting me borrow her car occasionally, so i decided it'd be worth it to renew my membership. in warmer weather i'll be able to get away with biking and stuff, but not in december.

yeah, nosebleed ... i've been getting them really frequently for the last year or so. and i've watched way too much xf because now i'm all "i have a nasopharangeal tumor!" yeah ... i'm sure it's not that, but they're still annoying/worrisome. :o

My husband and I just witnessed a horrible accident. Fortunately none of the people involved were seriously injured (which is a freaking miracle). It's very sobering to watch a car fly through the air and spin in circles. One car had two teenagers (she ran a stop sign and was going about 40 mph OVER the speed limit). The other car had a woman in her 60's on her way to a Christmas party.

Anyway, just wanted to tell everyone to be super careful and be thankful that we're all okay and in one piece.

That is very sweet of you to ask- yes, I am fine. I felt so badly for the woman who was hit- everyone was crowding around the teenager (she was crying) and no one was even speaking to the older woman. I sat with her until her friend came.

Aww, that poor woman. Why the hell wasn't anyone paying attention to her? That's sad. Nice of you to sit with her, though. :) I'm sure she really appreciated it. Anyway, I'm glad you're okay, too. I know some people get really shaken up over stuff like that.

Holy Cow!! I hate witnessing stuff like this - unfortunately this image may never leave your mind...I have witnessed two horrible accidents (one that did result in death) and reading that story just brought them back into my mind as vivid as if they'd happened yesterday....

Well as long as you haven't been abducted by aliens you're probably good ;) But if ya have the nosebleeds much longer I'd get 'em checked...unless they're just normal for you - like have you had them all your life?

The last one I had was in 1999 -it was really bad so I called my mom all freaked out...all she said was, "are you doing cocaine!?!" Big help.

Right now I"m watching the X-Files movie....:D

Just kidding - I think people who go above and beyond to help these animals are amazing (yourself included). So many people would have let it go and left the dog for dead.

That idiot of a boy who did the tying...I can't even tell you what a piece of sh*t I think he is. His "explanation" is asanine and I hope he gets the maximum penalty allowed for animal cruelty - but since the dog didn't die he probably won't

Yeah - sounds pretty good - what kind of seats do you have?

I honestly don't remember what seats they are and the tix are in a sealed envelope at the moment (they're an early xmas gift from me to my best friend). I think they're upper level but fairly close.

I had to buy them off Ebay. When I checked ticketmaster, the only seats left were BEHIND the stage.

*sniff* Just got some Christmas cards in the mail...wasn't expecting any...aside from my mom and sister's.

So it was a wonderful surprise - they made me a bit teary - one was from one of my best friend's in high school...the first line? "Can you believe I do Christmas cards now?" Got me to thinking that I really should starting sending some out....I never have....:D

So I read those - now I'm making dinner (the chicken is currently cooking).

It was nice, we talked about some of the old days (but stayed away from the mother being slapped stories...), went to eat etc...just spent the day with them.

They were so incredibly happy - they have ten grandkids - but my sister and I have always been the favorites :D My grandma still tries to say, "I love all you kids equally..." but my grandpa chimes in, "no you don't" IT's cute...but my sister and I spent the most time with them and are the only grandkids who make any sort of effort at all....

We just had mini-CHristmas with my mom and sister and nephew (all peaceful thank God) and now CLancy is eating her present and I am catching up on a little Ledge...

Trying to avoid another health scare like I had earlier this evening. I was reading the posts here when I felt a weird sensation in the front of my head (Around both temples, Above the hairline), it felt like me brain went to sleep (As ones legs can do when they sit in one place to long.)

Deb called our doctor "Doogie" who instructed me to try 300mg of Gabapentin (Take one tablet if you're in pain, increase to two if the pain increases-No more than 3 pills in a 24 hour time limit.). Gabapentin is used for neuropathic pain, nerve damage & bi-polar syndrome.

I'm still in pain now, and yes my brain/head still feels numb (No extremities are numb, which is good I guess) and I just thought I was having an episode of Spheno Palatine Gangleoneuralgia
