Musician Carlos Garcia-he posted the pic on facebook and said CM was hanging out at Fleetwoods King Paris (Rick Vito) show. I think the pic was re-posted by the FM News and reviews Facebook page.

Thank you guys! I'm glad you appreciated the pics and my little edits! :xoxo::o;)

Thanks Michele! :) For every b/w pic I use original colors whenever it's possible, in order to avoid as much as possible the terrible "60s postcard effect".
Maybe I'm wrong, but I've always thought that the pendant she's wearing looks like a shirt button. LOL, maybe it's the infamous button that (to our delight) she'd lost in many previous photos.... :p
I know it's strange, but look closely at the pics below. Chris is farsighted: you can never know if you lose a button while you are away from home... :D

Cool to see so many obscure photos, totally love the Kiln House era on stage ones! I know there are a few obscure b&w ones in some old magazines I have, one has Christine and John McVie full page in some valentine special... might be a candidate to be colo(u)red.

[becca]

I'm pretty sure the pendant Christine was wearing back then was a Saint Christopher's medallion. Since de-sainted by the Catholics he was the patron watching over travelers.

LOL, you know me...I can't help myself: I always have write in public what I think of her (paying attention and trying to censure myself when needed) :D So yeah, she's drop dead sexy!! ;) I wish someone had a larger version of that pic (it's an official Warner Brother photo).
Well, here's another pic I colored some days ago:

Who are the men on either side of her?

[applebucked]

The guy on her right is Don Griersson (a music consultant) while the guy on her left is former California governor Jerry Brown.

[thinkaboutme90]

The guy on her right is Don Griersson (a music consultant) while the guy on her left is former California governor Jerry Brown.

Jerry Brown is currently governor of California as well, he ran again and won in 2010, and he still has quite a hippy-ish aspect about him. That picture must have been taken during the recording of Rumours. According Ken Caillat, Jerry had a crush on Christine and would come to FM's recording sessions just to hang and talk to her, and even asked Ken if she was seeing anyone. She was with Curry Grant at the time... but it's crazy to think about what could have been if they had gotten together or even married! I can't imagine Christine appreciating the role of a politician's wife much though...

[applebucked]

I don't think Chris would like that very much. Maybe for a while, but it could get old after.

This is photo from around 1988 or so. This is part of a photo gallery celebrating the 40th anniversary of a radio station in Tampa Bay

Yes, Tyler does live in Hawaii, but he may have a house elsewhere. But you know he does the restaurant thing with Mick.

I am not sure what they said on Twitter where the picture came from, because luckily a GDW Ledgie just posted it here for us. But others are saying it IS Hawaii.

Michele

[ironman_01701]

Wow! Chris looks fantastic. Where is this? Does Tyler live in Hawaii?

I remember seeing the inside of Mick's house in Maui with the same floor, color walls and the same type of sky-lights. Flowers blooming are a dead give-a-way as shown through the window; not 100% sure, but looks like it to me. Also, not sure this was a 2014 photo, it could have been photo shot back in January 2013 when she flew over to Maui to sing with Tyler and dine at the Fleetwoods.

I dont know whether there's any rocky coastline like that around California?

Does/did Christine wear extensions or a wig? Just before The Dance her hair was pretty short (see pic). I think it was also quite short in the Classic Albums: Rumours programme which was also '97. By the time The Dance came around her hair was of 'regular' length.

In my opinion it looks like White Album or at most Rumours era but I'm not 100% sure.

That must be quite a recent picture. You can tell her eyebrows are the same as the image in the recent Uncut magazine article. I'm relieved- she didn't look too good in that image but she looks just fine here.

Yes, it was dated 8 March.
However mauve pink lipstick suits her.

I wanted to praise one of Christine's songs, but since this thread it's about her photos, I'm gonna add one that matches the song:

I respectfully disagree. I don't think she even looks like herself in this picture. This is an example of a picture that should have been deleted immediately. Overexposed, out of focus, and unflattering to the subject.

Bob Weston was fired in October 73 so I guess there's a chance the four of them could have been pictured in 73. However, I think it unlikely. Didn't they pretty much fall apart straight afterwards for several months?

You're probably right, I have some trouble telling the '71-'74 years apart. Here's a clipping from Sounds March 1974 with a different shot from that same session:

It’s likely from 1972 or 1973–my guess being more likely ‘73, circa Penguin. The hair, the face, the clothes match other pics of her from that timeframe.

I’m sticking to my guess. The hair, the makeup, the clothes—it’s all consistent with photos taken of her in 73ish—before moving to the US.

[MrsMcVie]

I'm in the early 70's now....digging up whatever I can find...

OK here are 4 of Chris, and the last one is of John simply because he was *such* a hottie, he was smokin'. ;) (I think that was around 1966.)

-Lis

John´s always been a hottie!

[MrsMcVie]

Yeah I'd go w/ all of the above. :p I think sleeping w/ 2 of your 3 male bandmates is quite enough for any woman. There's an interview tape from around 1980 w/ John and Stevie, where he says Stevie must not like him or thinks he's ugly or something-- and she tells him, "John, there's still time." but he says he can't because his wife's there. :p

BTW there are a couple parts in that photo shoot where J and S are being flirty. In another section he puts his hands on her tush and she pulls them up-- I think that was right before he lifted her and carried her away. In another part he makes like he's about to slip his hand down the top of her shirt; she smacks him and says, "You're terrible!" He laughs but then after a minutes sighs from the boredom and mutters, "I can't stand it." John and photo shoots-- not a match made in heaven. :laugh

-Lis

Gotta love John! :p Do you remember what interview this was?

[MrsMcVie]

Here are a few more. These are from the Rumours era.

Ooh.. I just LOVE that pic of Chris and John! It´s so damn cute! :xoxo: I think we should have a "Chris & John" photo thread too. Or is there one already that I have missed perhaps?

[MrsMcVie]

I love that one too. First of all, those button fly jeans or whatever they're called are HOT. He looks like he's kind of enjoying her attention. That absolute softness in his expression...he's melting. really, how often do you see John like that?!? IMO Chris totally brings that out in him. and yeah i'm a sap and I know it. but his being with her/talking about her...mercy, sometimes you can cry just from the look on his face. :(

-Lis

Oh, I totally know what you mean, you really said exactly what I think and feel. His face when he´s looking at her..it´s just so sweet, and not to mention those loong eyelashes! He´s just plain gorgeous, that´s all :xoxo: But their story is just so sad and every time you hear him talking about her (in interviews etc.) you can tell that he still loves her very much.

[MrsMcVie]

That's probably my favorite picture of John....VERY, VERY SEXY!

I´m a 100 % with you on that one! :];)

[MrsMcVie]

After seeing the picture of John with no facial hair, I said to myself that he looks like someone. It hit me...Phil Collins! Am I going insane?

No, you´re not! He does look a bit like Phil Collins in that pic, I´ve always thought that too!
