ooo I like that color one. oh those eyelashes. I just had to explain to my daughter what false eyelashes were LOL; needless to say, she is not a fan of them. and the gold curtains behind her, wow. bet the couches were olive green. :p

You know, putting false eyelashes on Chris's eyes is like putting cheap sparkles on a diamond. There's just no need, it ruins it. ;)

IMO she got much more beautiful as the years went by. For example I think she was far more gorgeous at 35 (about Tusk era) than she was at 25 (when this pic was taken.) How many people can say that?

I'll agree with that. :nod: I sometimes think that she looks younger at 35 than she did during her earlier Christine Perfect days(due to hairstyles, clothing & just her general look at that time). By the way, her voice got better as she got older too. Who can say that? :)

Those pics are great! I love her outfits from that era. Very distinctly seventies. I'm not big on the hair but I love the blouses and dresses. I actually found something in (try not to cringe too much) Wal-Mart the other day that was very much that style and I had to try it on. It had all the colors--dull brown, vomit green--the works. It actually looked pretty decent on me, too. But when I showed it to my mom she said it was "just really ugly." I said, "Now, didn't you have a dress just like this years ago?" She said, "Yes, but that doesn't make it okay." Oh well. :distress:

I've wondered the same thing. Chris is only photographed by herself or only with Mick & John in the CD booklet. At first, I actually thought that maybe she didn't want to be associated with the entire Time line-up, only Mick & John.

First of all, those button fly jeans or whatever they're called are HOT. :laugh: He looks like he's kind of enjoying her attention. :rolleyes: That absolute softness in his expression...he's melting. really, how often do you see John like that?!? IMO Chris totally brings that out in him. and yeah i'm a sap and I know it. but his being with her/talking about her...mercy, sometimes you can cry just from the look on his face. :(

Hotter than his short shorts! :laugh: While in Texas and watching Destiny Rules, I tried to point out how John becomes when he talks about Christine. His demeanor completely does a 360 as you know. I don't think it sunk in, but I was communicating with a SnL shipper. :shocked:

Yeah, the natural look really worked for them in those pics, they have kind of that innocent 'regular people' quality to them. As soon as Stevie puts on some weird costume or hat, it turns me right off. LOVE the ones of Chris, John and Lindsey especially.

Mick w/ no beard is always sort of peculiar, he looks so young. They all do, really. How is it that i am older now than any of them were in those pictures?! :eek: good lord.

No beard in those early months of 1975, bearded again for the Rumours tour (by the end of the tour, it had grown so much it made Mick look like a Chassidic Jew), no beard for the 1978 tour, bearded again for the Dodger Stadium recording in June 1979, & so on.

My 12 yr old self used to have a big wall of FM pics behind my door in my room, and I'd kiss that particular photo of Lindsey goodnight every single night LOL. I still have the photocopy; there's a gross yellow spot over his nose/mouth where my greasy face pressed into it every night. mmm, lovely. :lol:

Hence the facelift a few years down the road...although i still think she looked very cute in those pics. She was nearing fifty then, while Ed was in his mid thirties.

I'm glad you guys like these pictures. I wish I had more pictures of her at home, but I don't. I got them out of a cookbook called, "Rock 'n Roll Cuisine". Various rock stars contributed a recipe. Rumours-era Linds is... er... not cool), but John's is very impressive. :laugh: It suits some people better than others, I guess. Frankly, I can't imagine John without a beard. I was really bothered by all his comments about weight. (Always in reference to a woman). That's usually a good way to inspire hatred in me, go on about how fat women can be. Poor Madge. And all of that drama with the UK fans, such as Pip (gypsy-rhiannon, fireflies_uk on lj), and them getting kicked off his board, hiring that guy who was such a jackass to deal with them and not wanting to fire him after he acted like a jackass...that really annoyed me. Sorry I can't explain that scenario better. It just made me think that he's in it for the money and he doesn't care who he steps on. (Of course if you ask Homie, he'll say that Stevie and Lindsey are both just in it for the money, too, but that'll make me cry if he says it again). If someone could direct me to a thread about that it would help, but you probably don't want to read all about it--it's just a headache.

Regardless of how much of the book is true, I'd still recommend it. It's a very good read. There's some fairly juicy gossip in there. According to Mick, Chris & Stevie come off like saints, but John & especially Lindsey don't look so good at all. Again, I have no idea how much is true. It's just how Mick remembered things. If all five had each written a book, you probably would have gotten five completely different books.

Well, yeah, I've heard different things about Lindsey. Either he was fabulous to fans, or not so fabulous. I'm inclined to believe he was probably not so fab during the Mac's hey-day. :shrug: I think they all count their blessings a little more these days. During the 70s, and even early 80s judging from boots, articles, etc, I think they might have taken a lot of it for granted. Despite the fact that their success was not instant, nor were times in between very easy for any of them.

I know Christine--ever the classy, gracious one :)-- always made sure to thank the fans and make a little speech before Songbird, and that Stevie had something to say as well, but Lindsey's usual sign off was "You guys are f*cking great!", or something like that. John, well... LOL. I never heard much from him to begin with.
Now Mick has his "Take care of yourselves, and in this crazy world, remember to take care of one another" ending. Which is nice, but not something I think he would've said in the earlier days.

Again, like you said, I've never met any of them personally, so I have no idea. This is just my opinon. :wavey:

Yes, those are from MTV. I have that little interview snippet. It was right after the Dec. 1983 Reseda show that was filmed for MTV & then later became the Video Album.:)

The interview is very short. She just talks about how the band sounded during the show. It isn't more than a minute or two long.

The Video Album is out of print, but they pop up on eBay from time to time. There are 2 listed right now, 1 of which has a buy it now on it.

Definitely! I found them at burnish.net, and softened them a little in Photoshop. The original quality wasn't that great. But she looks hot!

Let me take this opportunity to post some other pics! I spend too much time saving these things. :D I still have a lot more than I haven't posted yet.
