I know. That darn flower is annoying. :( By the way, I have both of those pictures, but the ones you just posted are much better quality. Thanks. :)

That's because I had to shrink the picture in order to get it to fit. When I make a picture smaller, it changes the name to mini. I have a few, mini Chris & mini Christine. I even have a mini mini Chris & a mini mini brunette when I had to shrink them twice. :)

Here are some more recent pictures on eBay. The first picture is from the 1987 MTV Video Awards. Since there is water in the background of the second picture, I think it may be from the Dennis Wilson years. The last picture looks to be from around 1982-1984.
By the way Lis, thanks for attaching a sticky to this thread. :)

oooo very nice, love that first one in the blue dress. What gorgeous eyes she's got, such a cool color, what color is that?! blue? gray? green? who knows but they are so unique. And that dress--I have some footage somewhere -- a little clip where she says how uncomfortable that dress was LOL and that she wanted to go put on her jeans.
I would agree the 2nd one is probably around 1980, and the 3rd around 1984/solo album time. Hideous women's fashions that year. :D
You're welcome for the sticky! :woohoo:

And in the third picture also! I think that last picture may be the best I've ever seen of her as far as featuring her eyes. I'm not sure what color they are, maybe bluish/gray.

Maybe they're hazel? In some pictures, they look bluish/gray, bluish green, and sometimes plain blue. My eyes are that way...constantly changing. I got tired of trying to figure out what colour my eyes were so I got coloured contacts. ;)

I have a huge poster of this pic. It's in great condition. Who wants it?
I will even pay for shipping. It should be somewhere loved and hung up. I have it in my closet, cos I have no room for it.
post here if you want it and maybe we'll decide where it will best be hung

I found some more pictures. The first two are from the BBC just before Jeremy left the band. The third picture is the Mystery To Me line up & the last picture is Chris & Dennis Wilson. Well, second coolest member of Fleetwood Mac. ;) And, add those downloads on his website to your list. I hadn't checked out his website in a while. He's really added quite a bit to it. It sounds like he's considering offering more songs to download for 10 cents a track. How cool is that?

Yeah, Bob's been talking about doing the 10 cent downloads for a few weeks now. I think, and hope, that that's the future (game  ) of the music business. I mean, that's PROBABLY about the amount of royalty an artist sees from each track. Sooooo, let's cut out the record company, the shipping company, the retail outlet, and just pay the artist for the work. I know he's a little afraid of putting too much effort into it, only to find that a few people are interested(after all, he doesn't play out anymore, so it's not like he's still a name brand).
But, Bob's just so nice and down to earth. I feel privileged to have him respond personally to my questions

I hope he does go ahead with the 10 cent downloads. I've just started downloading those demos after downloading the live Fleetwood Mac track yesterday. I assume he's offering the free downloads to see what the level of interest is. I thought of sending him an e-mail to thank him for the free tracks & to hopefully encourage him to offer more. I didn't know that he actually does read & respond to any e-mails. I'll have to work up a little more nerve to e-mail him. :)
By the way, this is something that I wish that Christine would do on her website. She's mentioned that there are some unreleased demos & outtakes from In The Meantime stored on her nephew's computer. I guess she & Bob are just in different financial stratospheres these days. :)

It was a pretty star-studded shindig, not a tiny family affair, so maybe that made it less awkward for her...? All of FM were there, I think, although I hear stevie was only there for like 5 minutes LOL, just long enough to take a really drunken looking photo w/ the newlyweds. J's dad and stepmom flew in for it also, but I don't know about his mom...
Like Mick once said, lots of things that seem weird to people on the outside, really aren't when it comes to people in FM. ;) I think it's very, very nice that she was there.

It probably was more a party than a wedding. Do you have that picture of Stevie and the newlyweds?

John doesn't look at all happy in those first two pictures. Just to look at them, you'd never know that he was at his wedding. On the other hand, the family picture looks very, very nice. I assume that his stepmother is no longer alive.

That's right. She promoted it on that 1983 Rockline interview that you sent me. :) She was a little mixed up about it. She had to refer to her notes for the details about the event. It sounds like it was some sort of concert/road race benefit for UCLA. The funniest part of the interview was when she said, "Of course, I won't be doing any running. I'll be in the bar". That cracks me up every time I hear it. Mick & Stevie were also part of it too.

Right, Mick was w/ his band the Cholos, and I think Stevie fired off the starting gun. Of course Chris was in the bar. ;) It was on May 8th, I remember loving the way she said the date w/ her cool nasally accent on the A sounds LOL.

Isn't that a cute little picture? I'd think it was probably taken near Kiln House or Benifolds, I'd guess around 1970?? I got that off the TV...maybe from that 'All Access' show, or one of those...maybe it was even 'Two Sticks and a Drum?' ..or maybe not. I lose track of where I get stuff from. I just remember there was a montage of shots that flashed very quickly back to back over the screen, if you blinked you'd miss it...in my original posting I had one called 'hotjohn' that was also from that same montage.

OK thanks, now I see it. I'd never ever seen that picture before. She looks very different in that picture, not quite as thin as around the 1970 period, although it's a bit hard to tell. It is a bit blurry, but she looks pretty thin...I should look so good in a bathing suit. My guess would still be 1970. (As a teen, remember, she said she was very chubby!!) The thing I love about that pic is that it's obviously one from the 'family album', probably John or Mick took it on a day when they were just chillin' by the water...

true, true...however the odds are greater that some individuals would do it over others...
And if you don't already think I've lost my mind completely, i even thought of like putting the pictures into some gallery type of thing, where the viewer could then donate $ to a charity of the benefactor's choice. Greenpeace or something. The charity could change if the group of pictures changes (think how many pictures have been taken over a 40 yr career.)
yikes. Did i really just tell you all that? can you tell I've had some sleepless nights lately? Things w/ my son (his apraxia, educational issues etc) are stressing me out and occupying much of my thoughts ...and of course thinking of FM helps me de-compress.

David, here on the Ledge posted an eBay auction several weeks ago of a contact sheet of photos from a seller in England. This seller had a whole bunch of other Fleetwood Mac contact sheets & film, all from around 1972! This particular auction was a strip of 35 mm color film positive. There were these 6 pictures on the strip. I bid on the auction & won it! Everything arrived in my mailbox from England yesterday. I had the film developed & then scanned the photos. I think they're among the most gorgeous pictures of Christine McVie I've ever seen.
I also won the contact sheet auction as well. There are 35 pictures of Chris, Mick, John, Bob Weston & Bob Welch. I'll scan the 8 pictures of Chris later. I have to enlarge them first. I'll also scan the 3 pictures of John too, if Lis wants me to. ;) These pictures are all live performance shots. They're in black & white.

I think all the Mac members have childhood pics out there except Chris. I'd LOVE to see some myself. However she says she was a chubby teen, maybe she's not happy w/ the way she looked at that time and has done her best not to ever let any 'young' pictures out into the public eye?
