New Order - Dream Attack

I was JAMMING to them ( "Bizarre Love Triangle" ) on the way home from the gym last night - "Every time I see you falling - I GET down on my knees and pray"

LLOOOOVVVVEEEEE TTTTHHHEEEMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bizarre Love Triangle by* New Order

Every time i think of you
I feel shot right through with a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine but it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind
There's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
And it's what nobody knows
While every day my confusion grows
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say
I feel fine and I feel good
I'm feeling like I never should
Whenever I get this way, I just don't know what to say
Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday
I'm not sure what this could mean
I don't think you're what you seem
I do admit to myself
That if I hurt someone else
Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You'll say the words that I can't say

If you could download a song from him, try Brace Yourself or Perfect Time of Day

If they have a copy of the DualDisc, get that one, it's the same price as the regular one. One side is for your regular CD player, the other side is a DVD for surround sound and has the Good Boys video and lyrics. I have another DualDisc for Bowie's "Reality" album and that's another stunner.

They're good enough to deserve a chart-topper. And, dare I say, their current album blows Rumours out of the water for me. I'd bet that a new album will be better, it's obvious that they're capable of topping themselves.

They're good enough to deserve a chart-topper. And, dare I say, their current album blows Rumours out of the water for me. I'd bet that a new album will be better, it's obvious that they're capable of topping themselves.

I had Chinese last week from a place I had never gotten it from and, my word, it was AWWWWWWWWWWWful. Probably the only Chinese restaurant in the world that doesn't use salt.
Dude, the masses don't have good enough taste for it to be a chart topper! :( Did i get the dual one? It just started playing the video when i put it in. anyways, i guess i could check for myself. You should want to eat chinese that doesn't use msg. every time i get chinese, the chicken never looks like chicken i usually see, which makes me suspish., and everythings always really greasy.... vegetables aren't supposed to be greasy!

I know, I'm still shocked that Franz hasn't sold as well as they should here.

The regular one has the Good Boys vid, too, when you put it in the computer. And isn't it a fab vid? I love the last screen card after the clown dies, it's perfect. Debs looks ultra sexy in the barker outfit and in the color shots with the messy eye makeup.

Because I'm bored, I broke down No Exit for you. Thank me later.

Screaming Skin- This is about Chris Stein's illness back in the 80s and the lyrics are pretty hysterical. "I'm a multi-cellular individual/You're way out of proportion/We've got a hemodynamic connection/So don't call me germ." It has a very ska feel to it.
Forgive and Forget- My all-time favorite song. Kind of dancy and disco-ish. The lyrics are killer and Deb sings some of the highest notes she's ever sung.
Maria- You've heard it. ;)
No Exit- I prefer it over Rapture because it's funnier and VERY dark. When they played it live at the AMAs, it reportedly scared the **** outta Celine Dion and Billy Joel. Coolio takes getting used to, but it's worth it.
Double Take- One of my faves. Killer lyrics ("Caught in my pursuit I play the fetishistic mission/The longing that I feel drives me mad in your direction/Nailed by something cute I tear it out with microsurgical precision.") A little slow and jazzy.
Nothing Is Real but the Girl- Sounds like Blondie being Blondie. Fast, uptempo pop song.
Boom Boom In the Zoom Zoom Room- Sounds like something Deb would have done with the Jazz Passengers. Very quirky and lots of saxophone. I know Amber loves it.
Night Wind Sent- Deb's prettiest song. It actually sounds like something Steive would have written back in the day, minus the fairy schtick. She sings it in her upper register the whole time. It makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
Under the Gun- AWESOME. But the mix is crappy, so it's hard to hear her at times.
Out In the Streets- Sounds like a fifties song. I doubt anyone won't feel the urge to sing along to it.
The Dream's Lost On Me- Country. Very country. Willie Nelson country. Very clever lyrics and very enjoyable.
Happy Dog- Cool dirge. It cracks me up every time, especially when she sings "Come on and wag with me, baby."
Divine- It took me awhile to warm up to it. But I don't skip it anymore. The music just never did anything for me, though she sounds fab.
Dig Up the Conjo- Brilliant and one of the weirdest songs ever recorded. This one is hit or miss depending on the person, but I LOOOOOVE it. It's hard to sing, though, because she hits so many high notes all over the place.

She does sing in her upper register for most of the album. It's probably due to her stint with the Jazz Passengers, working with them did wonders for her voice. If you get it, be sure to pop in Dig Up the Conjo first. It's f*cking weird, dear.

Here are the lyrics to Night Wind Sent:

Your music by the night wind sent awakes my quiet instrument
In the silence of your steps I can see into the depths
Messenger of sympathies, my heart beats loud in ecstasy
When your shadow falls on me, a silhouette, reality
And I chase every night after you
And I chase after you

Of all your loaded mysteries, the colour of your sympathies
My words cannot express your awful loveliness
So come with me through smoke and mirrors, we'll bring our differences nearer
We'll float upon an inland sea, embody visions of a dream

And I chase every night after you

I got a chill and the night wind sent me a chill
And the night wind sent me a chill

You wander through my sleeping mind reading thoughts I've left behind
I always know when you've been there, tangles of perfume fill my hair
Your music by the night wind sent awakes my quiet instrument
In the silence of your steps I can see into the depths

Yup. It has a newly recorded version of This Fire called "This Ffffire" that's basically new guitar overdubs and some new vocals, an acoustic version/demo of Darts of Pleasure called "Words of Leisure," and those three tracks. They're all fab, IMO. And for only a buck more, why not, right?

Cher's clothes are very perty, but too outrageous to really do a lot for me. Mostly because you just know that she'd never wear that stuff off-stage. And, for some odd reason, I think Deb looks quite sexy and even more attractive when the clothes are tight, probably because you know she's got a helluva lot of confidence. I consider myself adventurous when it comes to clothes (I'm sitting here right now in my home office wearing a tight-as-all-hell Andy Warhol shirt, underneath a black buttown-down pinstriped shirt, with leather pants and a scarf wrapped around my neck  ), but even I couldn't pull off Cher's Mohican garb. But she has nice breasts and I have none.
good lord! actually, sounds pretty cute...but the thing with me and cher is, it's not about the adventure, or the breasts (which are cher-ish) it's about all one color, and tight in the waste. Admittedly, we do have similar coloring...I consider myself adventurous, too, but not in a color/weird fit way, in a more...."where's the rest of your clothes?" way...

I love TIGHT clothes. Most of my shirts are form-fitting because I hate excess fabric, it looks sloppy, and because I just like the fit of them. As a rule, leather pants must be bought a size smaller because they stretch. I like anything pinstriped. Form-fitting button-down shirts with crazy stripes are other faves of mine. And I have a big predilection for weird t-shirts. I've got Whoopi Goldberg, Deb, Bowie a la Ziggy Stardust, Michael Moore, Tangerine Dream, Lindsey, Smurfs, Golden Girls, you name it. And I've got a big scarf fetish this year. I have one on me at all times.

Your dibs stand. Ok. I don't think Diss would want to get with me anyways

By the way, Diss, We (or I? ) need to know your real name dear. I can't stand only calling people their screen names. Feels so impersonal

JAILBAIT. :woohoo:

Though you're far from ugly and have the personality and good taste to go with it, dear. ;) We could always get together and bother the lunch ladies, though.

That would make me less mysterious, though...it would ruin the enigma that I am.

First name starts with a J, though.

You can usually tell if they're gay or not by the way they wear it. If it looks like it's been starched, they're queer. If it's got character, they're straight. I told Sparky awhile back that I'd absolutely kill for the shirts the dudes of Franz Ferdinand wear. That is me to a T. :woohoo:

god, I hope not Jason. Most of the Jasons i've know were cute, but had an undeniable a-hole quality. This does not include strandie, by the way...
Yeah! you guys should get together! nothing more funny than a Cancer and Pisces...*geek out, astrological, missing my best friend, swoon*

Eh, I had my door open a few days ago and had it blasting. My neighbor was horrified. I should pet his ass next time I see him, see if I can get a rise out of him.
