Did you call? Or are you going by their reservation policy? If you didn't call--and speak to a supervisor, if you have to--CALL now! You may be able to get all of your money back. Especially if it's a chain hotel of any kind (although, really, any hotel worth its salt should not hold you to a time limit if you are VERY close to it).

Give it a try! I know I had to cancel a reservation or two and it's worked.

Good luck.

I'm calling now. Last time this happened, the hotel had no mercy at all. Let's hope the Ramada is nice.

Edit: They won't budge. I can only get my second night back. So far, at least $260 gone. I can't get my money back for the airfare, but at least they'll give it back to me in gift card form. This keeps getting worse.

Well, I know an express train takes about 55 minutes, but I think they run only local trains off-peak. It's going to be a bit over an hour. Try to leave from Princeton Junction if you can; there don't seem to be direct trains from Princeton.

Let me know if you're in the West Village later (but not too "later"). You have my digits.

I honestly don't see that at all.
If anything, I think it would be
extra motivation for her to be there.
i.m.o., she woulda pulled the trigger
herself if she could have, without
hesitation and regardless of personal risk.

This just SUCKS! SO SORRY for everyone who had plans this week. I'm really sad for Stevie and how disappointed she must feel right now that she can't usher this great new record in properly. Most importantly though, I wish her well and a speedy recovery!! Get well, take care of yourself, and we'll be here when you get ready to rock this new album out!

Babe I know stevie loves her fans n all, but I doubt she'd risk her life for them! I understand her not wanting to get on the plane.....I'm just sad that she won't be here.

This is awful. Guys, I really, really feel for you! Dani - good for you for making the best of what is a terrible situation after having travelled so far and saved for it.

Stevie - get well soon.

From Stevie's Twitter:

Stevie’s bummed out she got sick. She knows her fans were so excited about Webster Hall.
Her press agent made her work too hard. She did 46 interviews in two days & got sick with pneumonia.

Well, I guess it's promising news that Ticketmaster hasn't yet sent me an e-mail about obtaining a refund; when Rod Stewart was canceled, I received an e-mail instantly. Perhaps this means that they are frantically trying to find another date before outright issuing refunds?

I'm still in denial about this, as you can see.

Dani I thought of you and those coming from Florida before even myself ( Iwas flying from Rochester)...and I know how you feel cause you had to borrow money for this..so its not like you can just go to a theater show or any of that other stuff that costs a good penny! I've had this happen too in the past with Stevie where she cancelled the 9/12 show in Rochester NY( I remember her saying she was never going to New York again!) Also my family drove to the State Fair once in '89 to see Stevie and she cancelled right before we got there cause of what they said was a swollen bug bite on her foot( I think she actually broke it) but still, I had to walk around staring at cows and pigs all day...Neither of these two shows were to the same magnitude as flying from Cali but I do feel your pain..Hopefully Stevie will make it up somehow for us! I'm frustrated too..this REALLY stinks..but I sure hope she is okay and takes care of herself..Try to absorb the lights and maybe go to Ground zero and sing a line or 2 of Illume..in honor of those who died..This kinda is a historic time to be in NYC....)))) Try to smile and enjoy..

OMG! I can imagine all of the fun reading we'll be seeing over the next month.

Poor thing... she's doing this like she really wants it.
