And since when did you lose a ton of weight? I thought you were just naturally thin?
It is SO hard. Believe me, I know, 100%. For me, it's all about rules, that I don't violate, PERIOD.

Naturally thin? Uh, NO. Never obese, but just always 30-40 lbs overweight, since about.......well, I guess in high school, it was 20lbs, then 30 in college, then SH*T!!!! And I fell in love, about 12 years ago, and lost it all. Got.heart.broken. Gained it back, over the course of several years.....

Experienced life changing epiphany, 1.5 years ago, and haven't looked back. I went from 34(TIGHT) jeans, to 27/28 jeans. I've had ONE fast food hamburger, in the past 1.5 years. Fast food, is GARBAGE in your system. Vegetables(I hate fruit) are your friend. You can basically fill yourself UP with vegetables(not deep fried vegetables!!!!) and not gain weight. I basically, no longer eat crap. Thank god I love salad.

Although, I will admit, that since winter hit, I've gained six lbs back, eating comfort food. But I'm going to lose it. Trust me. Because I can't express to you, how much the transformation I put myself through, has completely CHANGED my life. I'm no longer the chubby loser, standing in the corner. (that's a very embarrassing sentence to type, but that IS the truth) And when I say loser, I don't really mean that, but I can't tell you, how not feeling "unattractive", boosts your self-worth, and ego. I don't hit on ppl now, they hit on me. Swear to god. I vow to never be fat again.

Eating properly, is my religion.

I've been trying to eat better myself these days and I do eat salads (in fact, my family uses salad bowls the size of small mixing bowls ) and I practically never eat fast food (except when I'm on vacation), my only problem being I snack too much, but I've been working on that.

I find the best thing for me is not just eating right, but working out too. When it's warm out, I try to walk-run 2 miles each day at this place called the ecology center and, being cold now, I try to do Wii Fit every day (take my word for it, it does wonders and keep you entertained too)

As for "feeling unattractive", losing weight did give me a boost in confidence about myself, but what really gave me a boost of confidence was the summer I went out with Tim (how was I supposed to realize he'd be such an ass in the end) and, strange as it may sound, after I broke up with him, i was walking straighter and more willing to talk to other guys without fear of gettin rejected. And now, since I have finally found my niche with the sci fi nerds (yes, I consider myself to be a nerd, but we all wear it as a badge of honor), I now have a real incentive to lose weight and to look good, not to mention I now have a budding friendship with this guy Dave who likes the same video games, comics, and music as I do.

And speaking of some food being garbage, tell that to my cockatiel. He literally begs for snacks and he only wants stuff such as chips and non-chocolate cookies (chocolate basically kills birds)

Sorry about rambling so much, but you did get me thinking

I eat my salad in a medium mixing bowl!
Usually a big handful of spinach, ONE slice of bacon(just so I get a taste of meat), 1/2 of a boiled egg, red onion, maybe some sliced almonds. I eat regular bleu cheese dressing, and sea salt bagel chips, instead of crackers. Seriously, out of 365 days last year, I ate ^^^this meal, ONLY, probably 300 of those days. This meal, took me from 180, to 135. Actually, when we could still buy fresh corn, I would nuke 1/2 an ear of corn, also. Yes, 1/2 an ear....portion control!

Vacation is tough. I'm on vacation, and it's so hard. Mainly because american portions are so big, and I hate wasting food, that I almost always end up eating more than I wanted to. What I do now, though, is like every other day, is get a carry out salad at a restaurant, and bring it back to my hotel to eat(because they never seem to give enough dressing for my taste, so I bring a bottle, and keep it in my hotel mini-fridge).

I've not worked out, one iota, although if I keep having problems keeping the weight off, I'm going to start. Although, when I'm vacationing, I walk miles a day. I'll bet I walked 5 miles everyday I've been in Nashville. Yes, I like to party, and the popo in Nashville are Nazi's, so I don't F with em!

The feeling unattractive....you know, I didn't really. BUT, after I lost about 20 lbs, I started getting noticed, and laid(and I mean by hotties - talk about positive reinforcement!!!). I kept up the weight loss, and it kept happening, more and more. Socially, I wasn't even TRYING to be popular, but it just happened. Seriously. This weight loss changed my life. I mean, I'm the same guy, inside, and it's sad to admit about our society, but ppl didn't really wanna chill, with that heavy guy...... So this weight will stay off, at all costs. I like being popular!

I feel like I'm a nerd, but most don't. I like nerds, and can completely relate to them. Ppl think I'm cool, I think. I'm not. Just confident. Confidence is everything.

Yeah portion control is a big part of keeping weight off, and with eating healthy, they work together in losing weight.

BTW, how bad are the cops in Nashville? Have you been arrested there?

Yes on the portion control. Thus the 1 slice of bacon, 1/2 of an egg, and 1/2 on the corn, too.

No, never arrested. When I was here Thanksgiving weekend, I got pulled over, for being 5 miles over the speed limit. I mean, I don't look like a thug! Short hair, dressed decent, in a decent vehicle.....and this cop had me out on the sidewalk(standing up) searching me from head to toe!!! That sh*t doesn't HAPPEN, back in Indiana. I was like, "you're kidding me, right?" He was not. "This is how we do it, here". I told him it was the first time I'd ever been searched. I mean, he had his fingers down inside my shoes! And down in my pockets, feeling my junk! Really?
About the only good thing I can say about the search, was that it gave me about 5 minutes, to win him over. And I did. I made small talk, the whole time, and kept asking him questions. And then told him how much I'd appreciate it, if he didn't give me a ticket. I drove off, sans ticket!
But yeah, they're everywhere down here. Even on bicycles downtown, sneaking up on ppl. So when I hit the clubs at night, I walk, or take a cab, if it's raining.

Did you take your own car? I know in some places, the cops like to hunt down cars with different state plates. I dunno how it is between Indy and TN, but with a NY plate in Virginia many years back, a cop stopped us in the middle of the night (there was bad traffic in Jersey, but that isn't new ) for going over the speed limit, but there weren't any signs in the area, which made it all the dumber.

I know they do that, but that wasn't the reason. He was standing in the middle of the road, with a radar gun, wait for ppl to drive around this corner(it's actually a fun corner to take, about 20 mph over the speed limit(yes, my family tells me I should have been a NASCAR driver). But it was my own vehicle. It's only a 4 hour drive here, for me.
But he had it in his head, that I was carrying drugs or something. Which I don't do. So I think the fact that he found nothing on me, combined with my sparkling conversation, is what got me out of the ticket!

Maybe I should tyr talking it out if i ever get caught by the cops, but knowing me, I'll probably turn into a nervous, babbling idiot

Speaking of fun corners, I think we have some around here, but considering the fact that people are absolutely insane on the roads, you gotta be a bit careful, but if you want a good laugh, you should see my mom on the road. She uses "descriptive words" for the cazy people on the roads and would often talk about ripping people out of their cars when they'd cut her off back in high school (she doesn't have road rage issues, she just talks a lot)

Well, they usually don't give you enough time to talk to them...that, was the beauty of the all too invasive body search. It bought me enough time, to make him like me. Really.

Would you think less of me, if I told you that I have a "women driver's suck" sign, under my seat? The flip side says, "you do too".

I got the idea, when I guy drove by me once, and held up a sign that read, "what the f*ck?"

This girl cut me off, a couple of years ago, and I held up my sign. Her boyfriend was in the passenger seat, and I thought he was going to DIE, laughing. He thought my sign was the funniest thing he'd ever seen. Laughing hysterically, and clapping, for my sign.

I don't think less of you for the sign, but recently, I was rammed into by a lady who thought she had a green light, when it was actually a red light with a green arrow. The drivers here are insane, yes, but you gotta learn how to avoid 'em. Maybe I should make a sign and throw it up sometimes.

And speaking of crazies, one time I saw a guy texting while driving, but he was using both hands to text and his knees to steer. My only problem is that if he wanted better control, he should've used his feet

My old neighbor lady, who moved a couple years ago, would always slam on her brakes, while driving. If she saw a pothole, rather than go around it(fkn DUH), she would come to a screeching stop. I almost hit her, a couple of times. Imagine my surprise, when she came home one day, with her rear end smashed in! Some people ARE too old to drive(she was 80).

I do text while driving. But, I TRY to save them for stoplights, or only if NO other vehicles are anywhere in sight.

I don't text when I drive, mostly cause I'm a bit of a spaz. Hell, I can't talk on my Bluetooth while driving (and when you're stuck with a Jewish mother who wants that Bluetooth on most of the time, you can imagine what fun it is for me )

Speaking of people too old to drive, get this one: my grandfather in Florida is 90 and he still drives. Last May, when I was down there visiting and following him to a restaurant. All I can say is that, after all the close calls and wrong turns he made on the way there, I'm surprised the rental car doesn't have my handprints permanently embeded in it
