Nothing else charted. I'm not talking Fleetwood Mac singles. Finally just because you hear the song on the radio doesn't mean it was a hit OR a single. Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven" is played almost daily on the radio but was never a single or a "hit". "The Chain", "Gold Dust Woman", and others were also never singles or "hits" but still get played heavily on the radio.
Let the record reflect that "Maybe Love," "Paper Doll," "Peacekeeper" and "Landslide (remixes)" all charted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles within the past 20 years. Granted, none were huge hits, but at least they were considered "Hot" for a fleeting moment or two.

I also agree that it's silly to believe that Mama is hittin' the circuit to fund her album. She's probably going about it the normal way- she signed to a label (whatever that label may be) and the label cut her an advance plus recording fees (which she would have to pay back from the proceeds). And on the off-chance that she didn't get an advance, she has plenty of money; she doesn't have to work a single day again in her life if she wanted. My suspicion is that she is doing a handful of dates for a number of reasons. For one thing, she wants to keep up her chops. Secondly, she has an army of people on payroll, and these people (who probably get paid gigs sporadically) are probably looking to make some bank- musicians, wardrobe assistants, managers, stylists, etc. And who knows what else these shows may portend (in terms of filmed footage, etc.). After not doing anything solo for a couple of years, she stands a good chance of losing her people, so she needs to get out there with her ribbons and bows and start reconnecting.

No unfortunately, I'm not this time. I don't have a reliable car yet, and although I did take the Greyhound bus to many of the Mac shows last year, it took alot out of me, and I just cant do it again. But I will be there in spirit I can promise you that!

I stand corrected, my mistake, I didn't fully understand the audience I was playing to. I just want to say thanks for pointing this out to me, seriously.

And lets put it this way, Nobody but NOBODY Stevie's age has had the HITS they had 20+ years ago. Why? Because 45RPM singles are DEAD. You either get played on the radio, or you simply DON'T. James Taylor or the Eagles are about the closest thing I can think of to someone Stevie's "age" that is considered "Adult Contemporary" or "Soft Rock" that when they have a new album come out songs off it get played on the radio. When was the last time Carly Simon got a new song played on the radio? Or Belinda Carlise? Heart? Hell, even Lindsey Buckingham?

You can actually see what I am talking about too if you pull up iTunes

Since the early to mid 90's or whenever the "Black Charts" were combined with the "Pop Charts" you really notice a decline in the music. Start in about 1990 and work your way to 2010. All the Soft Rock Adult Cont artists disappear and are replaced by Rap, Grunge, RandB and you see WAY more "Explicit" lyric songs. Lets face it, the people buying records in droves are retarded insolent little kids and white gangsters wannabes. Same thing with the iTunes "Charts". Those songs that are on top? Bought by kids with iPhones, iPads and iPods, not the 30+ year olds and even more so people that were 15-30ish in the 70's early 80's that make up Stevie's largest fan base.

SO i see the fact that Stevie gets AIRPLAY more so then charting singles is actually great. The charts are meaningless these days unless you are a 21 year old slut bag with extensions, implants and a penchant for getting your waxed cooter photographed by the paparazzi.

Exactly my point. This is why John Mellencamp used his song in a commercial. He knew it wasn't going to get played anywhere else. It's not a slam to say Stevie hasn't had a hit, it's just the way it is.

Stevie should TOTALLY do one of those Menopause or Osteoporosis (Boniva or the like) commercials!

Yikes, I don't know that that's the road she'd want to take, I was thinking more like just using a song, but hey maybe combine the two?

Cue in music ...."time make you bolder, children get older and I'm getting older too..." Hi I'm Stevie Nicks and like my song says I am getting older, and as we get older we need to keep our bones in good health that's why I use Boniva, just one pill a month and I'm ready to Rock A Little.

Yes, I think it will lend helpful video to Dave's documentary.

any takers ??

I will be there to 'keep score' but probably will not have time to post till late Aug 5, have an early flight outta LAX that day

To make things interesting i will buy an extra 'Stevie Shirt' and will send to whomever is closest !
Finally made is back from CA ( via a pit stop in Vegas ) , took a few days to catch up, but now looked over the predictions, and... drum roll

HejiraNYC is the winner !

No one hit the list on the head, but Hejira make 14 picks of which 12 came out for 85%

VERY VERY close was Musicman408 , who went 11 for 13

Hejira, let me know how to get the tee to you, or I can bring to either the Taj or Foxwoods and personally deliver

Whoot! No Turning Stone for you? I will be there and AC.

Thanks for the contest and the prize, but I will probably pass on the t-shirt... that is, unless "Acid Bunny" is still available! I kid, I kid... As such, I will humbly pass the honor to MusicMan408 if that is okay with you.

See you in AC!! It will be like a mini-Wembley reunion of sorts.

That's assuming she sticks to the script. Her version would be filled with well's and you know's. "It's just really great, you know, to be able to be rocking out at my age and not having to worry about my bones. I used to worry all the time, because I'm a big worrier ~ my mother would say, there she goes again, worrying about everything under the sun and moon, and it's totally true, right? I cracked my hip a few years ago, and let me tell you, that was not fun. I got four songs out of it because of the pain I was in, but I would not ~ for all the prayers in the world ~ relive that. Now I don't have to!"

Ain't that the goshdarn truth! 259 miles from the city. $(#&%(#$(*#$!!!!!!! And not a single bus or train option in sight.

I'm in 105, but I will be stalking the ticket office to see if 103 drops before curtain calls. It always seems to be the case...
