Oh, and by the way, if your name is JOHN, then maybe I should post the message here I got privately from you! And what my response was! Didn't I tell you that there's now a monthly Stevie photo available to be downloaded in a bigger size??? And YOU have the nerves to complain?? WOW!

Well, I think...and this is my opinion...no fan can imagine how many songs Stevie might have written during her long career. It must be hundreds or more. Few times ago someone posted some Stevie song titles that can be found on the Copyright Site and there were some songs titles we (the fans) didn't know of. I remember that Stevie herself said in an interview that she's writing alot and even these are not complete songs there might be tons of verses in her journals or on pieces of papers or whatever. When doing a record many artists are writing alot of songs and at least only few songs will be put on the record for release. I remember that the band Coldplay said that they had 60 songs for their second album release and at least they had to chose 11 songs out of 60! So I guess that Stevie is also recording some extra songs...maybe 20 or 30....for each new album and we only hear the ones who are officially released...(and the ones who are not officially released )....

I'm shocked and saddened to read this, is there a video or magazine article on the net with Stevie saying this?

I'm NOT acting like I'm the owner of this "downloaded" material....if I would act this way I wouldn't offer pictures in a bigger size on my website (or mp3 songs before). What you're saying makes no sense to me, sorry....and yes, I'm angry. And do you want to know why?? You've written to me privately...asking for bigger images...I've told you that I've spend a lot of money for the photos on my website and that I don't want to post them in bigger sizes BUT will offer monthly photos to be downloaded. YOUR answer was that you can understand where I'm coming from and that it's very nice to offer the monthly pics. Also your blah blah...good work about my website. And THEN...YOU have the nerves to fall behind my back and complaining in this thread about the photos?? THIS is insidious!

I'm not really sure but I think Stevie posted this message on the "Ask Stevie" page on her official website (Nicksfix)

Hi Melanie: thanks for your thoughts. Being a fan of Stevie's since the late 80's ...even with the old fanzines and all the Net info....its really so hard to say what offically unreleased songs that we don't know about....I do recall for like RAL/Mirror she said she'd paired songs down many times for Producers.....sadly I guess we'll really not ever know how many she has written that are total and complete songs that is. Like you said alot can be unfinished too. Sad but so true. Thanks for your insight. Always appriciated too!!

You can see Stevie's handwritten answer on the "Ask Stevie" page, question No. 6 from Bill Pinto

Thank you for posting these.. (although I think I Miss You is the album version- I couldn't tell any differences, and the track length is the same)

That Bombay Sapphire alternate take... just goes on and on and on. I was looking over my notes about the album/this song earlier tonight- I had forgotten that her original lyrics were somewhat different than was eventually released (beyond the title change with the added "s").

Here's I Miss You, all that's different is there's an extended instrumental piece in the middle. It's about 15-20 seconds longer than the album version.

I love the additional lyrics in the alternate Bombay Sapphires. In fact, whenever I put this song on a CD, I use this version.
All of these tracks came from a disc in my collection labeled "TISL Acetate." I also have one that says "TISL Final Mixes." I'm not sure what the difference is. Perhaps I got the discs mixed up and put them in the wrong envelopes. But the running order of my TISL Acetate is the same as the safety copy someone posted above. So I assumed I Miss You was the longer version.
So many boots, so little time.

Are there any alternate versions of Bombay Sapphire where she says "for the call of the wind"?

Here's the original lyrics (other slight differences too)

--

11. Bombay Sapphire (4:04)

Words and Music by Stevie Nicks

You--beloved
Were to me--everything
That love stood for
To love one another for awhile
Was enough--
It was all that I lived for
How can I go on without you
How can I go on--without you
I tell myself--this time
I'm going to have to--
Move on

Chorus:
It's like
Bombay sapphire
Hey I can take you higher
Whatever you desire
I can mend your heart

It is green
It is aqua marine
It is colors I have never seen
I can see past you--to the white sand...
It is blue
It is not about you
It is all true
You know--who I am

And she says, the sea never changes--not really
It is the constant in my life
I always return here
To the flash of those colors
Through every window
The wind through the night
Here I am dramatic
Here I am not waiting
For the call of the wind

Chorus

It's like purple haze
It's there every day
Its passion never fades
You know what I mean

If someone wants to buy photographs from the actual photographer who took the pictures, by all means, hoard them away. I can understand that, to an extent. I don't quite understand the, "look at what I have but I'm not going to share..." mentality, but whatever.

However, the bootleg/demo thing makes no sense to me. These songs belong to Stevie, right? Can someone explain to me the point of having these songs but not sharing them? I mean, telling people they exist, that you have them, but not letting anyone listen to them? What is the reasoning behind this?

Well, I'm sure you're talking about me. Well, I DO share the photos as thumbnails so that the fans can take a look at it. But who says that I HAVE to show them all as big images?? But it looks like I can say WHAT I want I'm not right anyways. So, I can close my website so that NO ONE ever knows how many great photos exists on Mrs. Nicks...
