Oh, and by the way, if your name is JOHN, then maybe I should post the message here I got privately from you! And what my response was! Didn't I tell you that there's now a monthly Stevie photo available to be downloaded in a bigger size??? And YOU have the nerves to complain?? WOW!

I'm shocked and saddened to read this, is there a video or magazine article on the net with Stevie saying this?

I'm not really sure but I think Stevie posted this message on the "Ask Stevie" page on her official website (Nicksfix)

You can see Stevie's handwritten answer on the "Ask Stevie" page, question No. 6 from Bill Pinto

That Bombay Sapphire alternate take... just goes on and on and on. I was looking over my notes about the album/this song earlier tonight- I had forgotten that her original lyrics were somewhat different than was eventually released (beyond the title change with the added "s"). |

All of these tracks came from a disc in my collection labeled "TISL Acetate." I also have one that says "TISL Final Mixes." I'm not sure what the difference is. Perhaps I got the discs mixed up and put them in the wrong envelopes. But the running order of my TISL Acetate is the same as the safety copy someone posted above. So I assumed I Miss You was the longer version. So many boots, so little time. Last edited by gldstwmn; 02-02-2009 at 02:44 PM.. |

Here's the original lyrics (other slight differences too) -- 11. Bombay Sapphire (4:04) Words and Music by Stevie Nicks You--beloved Were to me--everything That love stood for To love one another for awhile Was enough-- It was all that I lived for How can I go on without you How can I go on--without you I tell myself--this time I'm going to have to-- Move on Chorus: It's like Bombay sapphire Hey I can take you higher Whatever you desire I can mend your heart It is green It is aqua marine It is colors I have never seen I can see past you--to the white sand... It is blue It is not about you It is all true You know--who I am And she says, the sea never changes--not really It is the constant in my life I always return here To the flash of those colors Through every window The wind through the night Here I am dramatic Here I am not waiting For the call of the wind Chorus It's like purple haze It's there every day Its passion never fades You know what I mean Produced by Stevie Nicks Drums: Vinnie Colaiuta Bass and Guitars: Al Ortiz Keyboards: Stevie Nicks Percussion: Lenny Castro Guest vocals: Macy Gray Background vocals: Sharon Celani and Lori Nicks Engineered by Brian Scheuble Pro Tools Engineer: Buddy Judge Mixed by Chris Lord-Alge Recorded at The Dog House, Los Angeles, CA Mixed at Image Recording Studios, Los Angeles, CA |

If someone wants to buy photographs from the actual photographer who took the pictures, by all means, hoard them away. I can understand that, to an extent. I don't quite understand the, "look at what I have but I'm not going to share..." mentality, but whatever.
However, the bootleg/demo thing makes no sense to me. These songs belong to Stevie, right? Can someone explain to me the point of having these songs but not sharing them? I mean, telling people they exist, that you have them, but not letting anyone listen to them? What is the reasoning behind this? |
