We all know how Stevie feels about Street Angel, but in the last several years, she seems to have also disowned Rock a Little and The Other Side of the Mirror. When was the last time she performed songs from either of these albums? The 1990s? It's been mentioned here that Curtis (ontheedgeof17) asked Waddy Wachtel about "Rooms on Fire" at one of her concerts, and he said something like "Oh, Stevie doesn't like that part of her life, so she doesn't do those songs anymore."
Has Stevie mentioned any of this in any interviews? Has anyone else talked to any of her people backstage about it? I'm just curious if anything else has ever been said. It seems so strange for her to write off half of her solo albums this way. Didn't she describe The Other Side of the Mirror as her "magic album" at one point? What changed? I wish somebody would ask Stevie to elaborate on this. |
