Hey guys- I have not posted in a long time. NOT A TROLL.
I checked out the Youtube videos that have been posted. I do think Stevie sounded quite rough. Kinda how she has tended to sound after 2-3 shows in a row without any rest. So I am surprised she sounds so rough so early. But that being said- what really bothered me is how SAD she looked in all the pictures I have seen- beginning of show, during the show, end of show- I don't know what is up but I hope she is ok. I actually think Stevie could use some subtle vocal enhancements when she sings live. My fave Tori Amos certainly uses TONS of reverb, echos, ect to enhance her voice. I thought the Live In Chicago performance was AMAZING (I don't get people who are dogging that show- WHAT???) I thought it was Stevie at her absolute best. During Stand Back, Stevie sounded absolutely PRISTINE and I really felt they had some vocal enhancement going on- kinda like an autotune thing. I cannot wait for that CD for the best live version of Stand Back since 1983-in my opinion- and the awesome cover of Crash. Bottom line- Stevie needs some good old fashioned live singing augmentation- all artists use it. She won't be lipsynching- it will just add some effect. And Lindsey Buckingham is one of the most underrated guitarists in the history of rock and roll. Anyone who dogs him is insane. |
