I don't have a webcam, I don't have a digital camera- the best I can do is scan pictures and edit them, but whenever I scan them they're the size of legal paper and I can't shrink them down.... Yes, I realize I'm a tard.

I'll take another shot at it tonight. However, with my current computer skills I'll be lucky if I'm able to install Wizardry from all those floppys onto my Commodore II. Sigh... I guess I can always play pong on my good ole black and white tube set.

If you have Microsoft Windows, you should be able to resize the images with your Paint program. That's how I do it.

Here's how to shrink files using MS Paint.

1. On Windows, click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Paint.
2. Open your file to shrink.
3. Click Image, Stretch/Skew, enter a percentage less than 100 in the Horizontal and Vertical text boxes in the Stretch section of the dialog box. 4. Click OK and save the file.

If you want a smaller file size but not a smaller image then you will need Photoshop or some other image editing software.

My mom thought it would be cool for me to be a model, so I got into modeling school. Then, I tried to get into it professionally but I was told my cheeks were too full (aka fat). I weighed 115. So, I lost over 20lbs, which put me at 92. Long story short, I didn't have what it took, even at 92lbs. My cheeks are my cheeks and even if I starve myself, they're still too fat for the LA modeling scene. I only did some small local shows for swimwear and stuff like that. This is a pic from the professional portfolio I had. This was at my lowest weight since I was like five years old. I was still too fat and my boobs disappeared. :laugh: I'm posting it as a link because this one is kind of embarrassing and I don't want it to pop up here. It's not my best look and my aunt had to scan it, so the quality isn't that great. Thanks for the compliment, though.

Yeah, end. I was out that night in Boston painting the town. There was really not many people out at all. Everyone was nervous. Absolutely NOTHING unusual or bad happened. No Y2K crap at work, no violence or anything that night. Zip. Nada. Zilch. That was cool.

Waddy and his band play locally in LA all the time. My band was playing a club called The Gig in Hollywood in December of 2003. Our drummer at the time was also part of a Byrds tribute band and that band was scheduled to open for Waddy at Palladino's in the Valley, but they couldn't make it. So, they asked us to open for him. After our show at The Gig, we hauled ass over the hill and while our gear was being set up we got to hang with Waddy and Terry Reid backstage (Palladino's is a total dump/dive, so it's certainly not a "proper" backstage).

Anywhoo, we played our set and then watched Waddy and had some drinks. After his set we talked with him for a while. He's a nice guy and had nice things to say about my band. We talked about opening for him again and he was cool to it, but my band kinda dissolved into hiatusville soon afterwards.

I play mostly piano, but also play serviceable rhythm guitar. Singer/songwriter CSNY-FM-Heart-Indigo Girls eclectic folk rocky sound.

Australians have a friendly rivalry with Kiwis, we don't take it too seriously but are quite happy to mock them, a bit like an arrogant bully. New Zealanders I think have more of a genuine dislike for Australians. I guess they're seen our little sister and so it's quite intimidating for them. In fact they had the choice of being one of our states and voted against....I think that's what happened. The occurance of such a proposition hurts the Kiwis' everything. The friendly mocking from us doesn't help but it goes both ways. I'm of course stuck in the middle being both. I can claim all the great things about either but no matter which country I'm in, I'll be mocked for being from the other. So in answer to your question, no Australians don't hate Kiwis. From as much as I've gathered it's a little like the US/Canada rivalry.

Yeah I would say you're right comparing it to the Canada/US rivalry. Although not in the sense that Canada would ever need to become a part of the US. Do many US-ers live in Australia? I have been trying to move to New Zealand for the past 6 months and they don't seem very accomodating.

I guess it depends on many factors which I know basically knowing about. Firstly skill and demand for your skill. I got in easily being a Kiwi, Kiwi's and Brits can basically just enter. For Americans I'm not sure. I'm also not sure about getting a visa and all the age and time related restrictions because obviously I don't need one. It varies from country to country and seeing as you're not from our mother country it might be completely different. A friend is coming here from Holland but again, it mightn't be relevant. Definately worth getting all the information about though. I forget if you're looking for skilled employment or study. Alternatively, you could marry one of us, that makes it much easier. Oh hey, if you married me you'd get into both, two for one. Well cheers, here's to us!

I can get federal aid to cover the tuition, but NZ requires "proof of living funds" because they dont allow students from other countries to work more than 20 hrs per week. So, you would have to bring $10,000 NZ dollars for each year you plan on staying. So, I would roughly need to save $20,000 US to even be able to consider the move.

If that's the deciding factor then I guess I'd look into how the rules differ in that department with Australia and if neither looks promising either work your arse off, rob a bank or come to me with your proposal.
