More moaning about Johanna

Oh, here I go again.

You know, I once started a humorous thread just to wag my finger at Johanna, but I wasn't really certain at the time just what I found so objectionable about her artwork. Now I know why.

Her artwork is so forced and pretentious it's unbearable. She can draw Stevie better than just about anyone on the planet, but every portrait she does of Stevie is in exactly the same pose as a famous publicity still. If you don't believe me, just look at her gallery - she doesn't even try to draw Stevie from a different perspective. They all look so cold and rigid. She also tries to add as many accoutrements to her portraits as humanly possible. Wolves, eagles, crosses, crescent moons, stars, crosses with moons dangling from them, dolphins, for god sakes! No subtlety or tact whatsoever.

Oh, and those portraits she used to do with fans were unintentionally funny as well. She'd just take a portrait of Stevie and plop it next to a portrait of the "fan," who'd usually pay about $200 for the treatment. Stevie would be staring off into space being a sexy pouty princess, and the fan would be standing next to her, looking in another direction, oblivious to the sexy rock chick standing next to him/her. I mean, what was that all about?
