I was looking at the pollstar data of Stevie's tours, and it made me want to figure out which had the best average intake per show. I adjusted pollstar's data for inflation, putting the money from each year into 2005 dollars.
Per-show Average Wild Heart (1983).........................$262,000 Rock a Little (1986)......................$284,000 Other Side of the Mirror (1989).......$249,000 Whole Lotta Trouble (1991)............$198,000 Street Angel (1994)......................$148,000 Enchanted (1998).........................$277,000 Trouble in Shangri-La (2001)...........$425,000 This surprised me. Can you believe how much the 2001 tour leads the pack? I could not find data for the 1981 tour or the 2005 tour. |

I think Shangri La is when Stevie got the influx of newer fans because of the Dance, then Enchanted. I mean, I think it took hold then. If you'll notice some of the youngens on here, and even some regular age people say they got into Mac heavily from The Dance. Also, Trouble had new material, Enchanted didn't. Although I'm not sure if that is really a factor.
