I like how she says at the end, "It's better to have loved and lost..." That Stevie is a funny one.

Love the video! We all know Stevie's as high as the sky, but she is still classic and charming La Nicks. Gotta love her!

It's from Tennyson, I think. Stevie may have been reading this Tennyson poem for many years before writing Affairs of the Heart. Plus, it's really a very common saying that everyone has stored away mentally somewhere--Stevie may not even be aware of the Tennyson connection.

I'm confused. What the hell is the story with this? Stevie just pulled some random child up on stage .... or is the girl related?

So confused.

Oh I checked out the video alright ... but I'm still confused!

I'll just put it down to Stevie being cool and accept it. That's wicked!

I don't think she knew the little girl, but I could be wrong. She looks kind of terrified at first, but then seems to be okay with the whole thing.

Random child.

I didn't notice this for years, but someone (David, I think) brought it up here a few months ago that poor Elaine's shins get banged into the stage pretty hard on the way up. OUCH! She didn't mean to mind, though.
