This rule is insane. A lot of us here get involved in conversations almost as if they are real time so this rule is really a thorn in everyone's side. Just a thought!
Also, the fact that a post has to be at least ten characters is also insane. Sometimes a simple "Yes" or "No" is an appropriate response to someone's post but we can not doo this because the messages are too short. This is another rule that I think is hindering the board instead of helping it.

I agree.
I doubt these rules can be changed tho...

Both of these rules could be changed, but they are by design (anti-flooding measures). Frequent one word posts are very resource intensive and can lead to a corruption of the database. Those kinds of posts are much more appropriate for chatroom software than the kind I have running on The Ledge. Sorry...

Nothing is more annoying than reading a post that says...
Yes. or No. ![]() Also, people, you don't have to quote someone (especially LONG posts) if you post right after them. Also, I think peeps should only quote the parts of a post that they are referring to.

I realize that we all want to acknowledge who it is we're replying to, but quoting the first few lines, or the pertinent passage, would suffice.
