It's just weird how different she is. I've never seen Lindsey solo- is his demeanor different as well?

Because his crowds are so small, he can hear people in the audience and he sometimes replies when they say things and makes jokes back at them, so it's a little lighter, congenial and more personal, but his style is the same. He does perform differently sometimes though. For instance, the way he's acting on The Dance dvd is not the way he acted during the live tour or the way he acts live in general.

Oh, and notice NO GLOVES! and her hands look just fine.
Still. it was so incongruous to show that Everywhere clip -- a clip where Stevie didn't even appear visably or vocally -- among some other poorly chosen solo clips.

I don't think her intention was to make him appear inept. I take it as her giving him a backhanded compliment - as if to say he's such an amazing musician, why would he be wasting his time doing anything but nuturing that talent.

It stands to reason that your demeanor would change slightly if you performing a solo show as opposed to an band show, where you are among other prominent performers.

I think when Stevie is with Fleetwood Mac (especially when Christine was in the band), she is respectful that she's part of a band, and not the only star of the show, so she acts more like a team member.

I've seen Lindsey in solo concerts many times. His demeanor is consistent as always: Lindsey being Lindsey.

Ever since I read the Warren Zevon book where the guy said that he asked Lindsey why he was joining FM when he was making $400 a week on the road, I questioned Stevie about being their sole support. Maybe she was in the early seventies, but not in 1974. Then, after the SYW tour, she herself said that when she left Lindsey that time, she ran out of money and had to return to him and eat crow by asking to be taken back in. So, the fact that Lindsey still had the apartment when she got back and she had no money tells me that he must have had an independent source of income -- unless Richard was supporting him. Although, I don't know why Richard would that.

Lindsey either had money coming in from his family or some other place, but it was enough to at least make rent payments while Stevie was gone.

Good point about the Zevon book. Based on the stuff Stevie says in interviews we are supposed to believe without question that Lindsey was unable to support himself. It's not true. He did have an inheritance that kept both of them afloat for two years. When that ran out he worked for a living in the studio and on the road. Before the call to join FM came Lindsey was working at Sound City the first day Mick checked out the studio. The studio time Lindsey used while working on BN2 didn't come free.

That's right- Gary Hodges met LB because he was a session player. So, LB was working - just not a "normal" job like Stevie was doing. I half wondered if she was just doing it to get out of the apartment and maybe have her own spending money, you know to buy records, makeup and clothes... Lol

Remember how she talked about spending all her money to buy the blouse she wore on the cover of BN? Then they told her to take her top off.

I wonder if she still has that blouse. I think that would be worth more than the stage clothes she wore once they became famous.

I guess there was a time when LB eschewed session work, but I think in 1974 he succumbed and started doing it. But Waddy did say that he always asked Lindsey to come out with him earlier and Lindsey refused. Waddy told him he should stop spending all of his time working with Stevie's songs. I can't remember what Waddy called them, something like the vine and the flower or something. He said Lindsey needed to get away from all that and, of course, Waddy came to eat his own words.

On Charlie Rose Lindsey said that the money he inherited sustained them for a time. But he emphasized those words "for a time," indicating that the funds ran out pretty soon. I had always assumed he spent it all on the musical equipment until that interview. Then, I realized that he must have had a little left over when they first got to Southern Cal.

Really! Now I'm thinking she bought that blouse with tip money and they weren't that hungry...

Gary Hodges said the session work they did was in '72. Funny about Waddy! Has a great ear, doesn't he? And, this is the guy who is her music director? LOL!

I really wish some of the blanks were filled in. I would love to hear how Stevie's Dad reacted when he found out she was pocketing tuition money to live with Lindsey who couldn't get a real job because he was too talented. LOL!!

How hungry could they have gotten, when she could always bring home food from the restaurant? Some restaurants only let employees eat when they're on duty, but you know Stevie, I'm sure she snuck some home in her purse for her boyfriend.

No doubt. Man, Lindsey's lived the life, hasn't he?
