I think Stevie would do a brilliant job with "Running To Stand Still" by U2.
What an amazing song!

Stevie HAS covered "At Last"...I listened to it on youtube. Let me see if it's still there.

...And it is! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTbkWyPFwyU

There are several different videos, actually. Not sure if they're all the same performance or not though.

Wow - I'm scrolling through all these cover tunes - and a good thread it is - and wen I read this entry - I could instantly hear her singing it. Perfect choice! Gets my vote.

Off topic - but Natalie Merchant has covered 'Into the Mystic' live back around 1997-1998 and it sounded beautiful. Great song. Stevie would treat it well.

Yes, the poetic aspect of the lyrics always reminded me of Stevie...but I bet she'd be uncomfortable with the drug imagery. We could only imagine how great a Stevie version could be : )

Stevie's voice lessons have done her good. She now sounds like the female Cat Stevens rather than the female Bob Dylan. As I've said before, I think "Wild World" is about as Stevie as any cover she could do - the lyrics are right up her alley. And I can already hear Lori & Sharon on the la-la-las.
