Hey Folks...What song would you like to hear Ms Nicks cover??

I'm not sure if this question has been asked.....what song would you like to hear Stevie cover? Over the years I've always loved Lone Justice's cover of Tom Petty's "Ways To Be Wicked"...I would have loved to hear Stevies take on the TP tune.

Anything not by Tom Petty or Led Zeppelin(:

Black Velvet !! I've always wanted her to do that song

Nothing really- she has wayyy too much original material to do covers!

I'd like her to cover herself and do the upbeat version of "I sing for the things", with Mr. Bittan on piano, for sure.
And a "Diamonds and rust" (Joan Baez) cover would be great, I think that song fits very well with Stevie's voice and style.

I think it's time to stop doing covers, they worked for a while, but with the mountains of material she has, it's a waste of precious moments at her concerts. What would really make a Nicks concert special, would be an interlude of unreleased demos, ie The Dealer, If you were My Love, Julia (heck she could do a whole concert). Not that the majority of the audience wouldn't know these tunes, she has to know we've heard most of them.

Good one! Love that song, it's so eerie. I believe she wrote it about her & Bob Dylans relationship - Stevie would sound awesome on that. However, right now I'd prefer Stevie to drop all the covers! She has a great new album plus lots of old gems she retired or never performed at all to do any covers this time out. Bring on the new songs please.

I would be interested in hearing a Nicks recording of "These Dreams" by Heart, seeing as it was originally written for her in the first place. I can totally picture how it would sound. Has Stevie ever expressed regret at turning it down, seeing as it became a huge hit?

We all know Stevie writes pretty much all of her own material. I'm not an expert by any means but which of her songs, if any, did she not write herself?

I'd like to hear her cover EVERYTHING from "In Your Dreams." We've been waiting a LONG time for this.

I don't mind Stevie doing covers. Well, maybe a little bit. I guess coming from a hardcore fandom, there are several gems in her catalog that she could sing in place of a cover. Besides, she does nothing new to the songs. If she twisted the cover up a bit and made it more of her own, then I think I would enjoy them better.

I would love her do Madonna's The Power Of Goodbye - i think its a perfect song for Stevie and i love them both so much :)

tabruns 06-15-2011 03:42 PM

I'd prefer she do her own songs since she has a number of them that haven't been fully recorded yet.

But given that, I've always thought a Nicks-sung verbatim "Heart of Gold" (Neil Young) would be amazing.

Macfanforever 06-15-2011 03:49 PM

None. The tunes she pick are not my favorites.I did not care for the original versions .
but I like her versions anyway.

"Silver Lining" from Amanda Ghost is pretty for Stevie to cover...and "For Cryin' Out Loud" by Meat Loaf is one heck of a song to cover as well-- weren't Stevie and Meat Loaf going to duet on a Carol King song? whatever happened with that? I'm not a huge Meat Loaf fan, but Bat Out of Hell is a damn good album:]
