I'm still in denial about this, as you can see.
Yeah me too.... this blows...

Oh I feel so bad for those that have traveled so far and spent so much money! Especially you, Dani. I could tell how excited you were!
Well, you are in the greatest city in the world. Try and make the most of it. I recommend a show . Try TKTS for easy on the wallet tickets. Also see the concierge at your hotel. Let them know what has happened to you because they often get last minute tickets and sometimes have really great info on what to see and do. They might be able to tell you how to get into events on "stand by". Challenge yourself to have a really great time and let us know what happens!

Prayers for Stevie for a speedy recovery!

46 interviews in two days? Wow, I bet that's a hard task for even the youngest stars, never mind someone of Stevie's age. I'm not surprised she got ill. Still, it shows she's promoting the hell outta this record

I'm actually inclined to agree with Jondalar in this instance. Fleetwood Mac canceled the Dance show I had tickets for in '97. Stevie canceled the Trouble In Shangri La show I had tickets for in '01. Fleetwood Mac canceled whole blocks of shows on the Unleashed tour. The opening night for Rod & Stevie's tour this summer was canceled. For those of us with tighter budget strings, it's just too much of a risk to plan a trip around Stevie/Fleetwood Mac.

That being said, I wouldn't shed any tears about not seeing Stevie if I'd flown to NYC. It's not like anyone could ever get bored visiting there!

i was packing my suitcase and decided to check the board.. i want to be in denial too... hilton 'advance reservations' refuses to cancel my room for 2 nites, $336.14. as for the tickets... i don't want a refund! these tix were sooo hard to get! is that what ticketbastard will do, automatically issue a refund and send an email?

I doubt I'll be able to work a miracle and come to a rescheduled show. I've already spent so much money to be here today, and I've skipped a week of school. I'd probably be more upset if the show gets rescheduled and I can't go...

Yep - this is what people forget. I'll be pleased for those who can make a resheduled date but I'd be in the same boat as you. People often assume that everything is fine if the dates are rescheduled but there will be less people at a rescheduled date for this reason. It's unavoidable but very upsetting.

She was a heavy smoker for decades and she's over 60,
therefore she has pneumonia. The two go together
automatically. *every* time.

I don't want to seeem unsympathetic to those who have been
disappointed; I'm not, at all. But the concept that this
has anything to do with bin Laden being killed is noisome to me.
Which is more likely, that an ex-smoker over 60 who truly loves New York City
and made a special effort to help out during that time and is terribly
excited about the launch of her new album (and - TRUST me - is under
TREMENDOUS pressure from the record company to sell it) cancelled
because of some ineffable fear of something extremely unlikely,
or that she's got pneumonia? The logic there truly elludes me.

I'm in the same boat. There's no way I can come if it's rescheduled now. It's selfish, but I would definitely be more even more devastated if it's rescheduled.

Don't forget that she still smokes pot to this day. Pot is WAY rougher on your lungs than tobacco. That's why she struggles with lung issues to this day (bronchitis on TISL tour, pneumonia on IYD, her constant battle with her voice, etc).

Well if she is truly sick then I pray she does get better. A lot of ppl r canceling flight now cuz of that bastid so it truly does not surprise me if that's the reason she canceled. I don't blame her at all!

Either way I'd, I'm sure we'd all, want her in the best of health.......right?

Can we confirm this? I just dont see her still getting high after all these years, maybe a few hits every now & then but on a regular basis

Most things get old after so long, I know I dont par-take like I use to.
