Whether she said that for Bella Donna or not, how does that show that she "always believed" (to quote Oprah/Stevie) she'd be doing this at 60, given than 10 years later she said she'd be quitting to paint?

I actually youtubed them performing from back in the day, but there were only 4 up there then, too...
I think they said their mother was a big Oprah fan and they knew that she was up there looking down? I could be wrong, and there may have been five originally (though not in the vid i saw), Idk, but I just thought it funny...

I get pretty upset sometimes too at the utterly banal things Stevie says and does. But then I remember it's just Stevie being Stevie. She's ALWAYS been that way. Think about how she used to introduce Rhiannon as being a story about a Welsh Witch. She knew it wasn't... it was about a dime novel character. Stevie just remembers and interprets things wholly differently than pretty much everyone else in the universe . And she likes to make her life, world, and experiences sound far more grandiose than they really are. As she sang in Blue Lamp: "Don't listen to her, listen through her." It makes being a fan much less maddening .

Though I do agree, the lack of productivity the past 20 years is upsetting to put it kindly. People who are more recent fans just don't get how frustrating it is. So much wasted time and opportunity. The past 20 years we've gotten 2 new solo albums and 1 new Mac album with Stevie on it. I feel she came out of the Klonopin haze doing the best songwriting she'd done in decades. And it's all been so wasted. All the wind The Dance put into her career sails was squandered.

All this being said, I do think Stevie will start to slow down regarding touring and such sometime in the next decade. She'll always do live shows, I firmly believe that. But probably not as often or regularly. I kinda wish she'd focus on recording and painting, but she seems to mainly be interested in raking in the touring dough while she can.

Does anyone reckon that Miley Cyrus is trying to changer her image yet again? This time, I think it is a good thing.
Her new tour is nicely named "The Gypsy Heart".

I find the whole Joan Jett really funny. She has been sporting Stevie Nicks shirts forever. Everyone has said that Stevie Nicks is her hero and yet, she claims Joan Jett is. I bet she got kicked for Sheryl Crow. I saw Miley talking to Stevie when the show was ending. Anyway, becuase of Miley, Joan Jett seemed to the most response on twitter and itunes than any of them.

I know Joan Jett and jet black go hand in hand together but I did like when she wore it blonde there for a spell and it looked really good on her for a change a few years back.

I was taken back more on how you were talking about Stevie. That might flow with alot of people around here but not with me and that's why I stand by what I said. I don't think I've ever talked down about Stevie like that. That just really bugged me but oh well...

Speaking of Joan, maybe the reason Oprah wasn't 'all over her' like Pat was that Joan was all sweaty I bet! Maybe she had to leave early and that's why she wasn't a part of the finale.

Oh, & yes, Heart was FAB on 'The Talk' with performing two classic's and the sit down interview! That 'Barracuda' question is getting old, though!

I still beleive that someday Ann & Nancy will perform or record with Stevie!!
yes i agree i soo wish Heart would have been on Oprah too. i would just love it if stevie and heart toured together. i cant figure out why they havent. you figure stevie would fit right in with Heart. it would be alot better than Rod Stewart, ha!! i really liked them on The Talk but I cant stand them asking about Barracuda again. if i had to answer that question as many times as they have i would have killed somebody by now, ha ha!

Stevie was nervous. I just watched this interview a few times and it almost seems like she is yelling her answers.

My mom thought she looked tired. I said, 'well, she is 63...'.
Her reply, 'She still looked tired.'
I think she looked a little decadron puffy, to be honest.

Unfortunately, I think the harsh spotlight/dark backdrop lighting during the sit down interview did Stevie no favors. She would have looked a little better had the whole stage been lit up some more I think. But ultimately, as I feared, being on the road 3 weeks showed up on Stevie's face. She did not look as rested as she sometimes does. This concerns me a little as she ramps up towards the May media bliz and TV appearances, that she has had practically no down time. I mean she is 62/63, she's not a spring chicken, and all that traveling, no matter how pampered she is, will take its toll. Overall, I look at it as Stevie more or less authentically looking her age, none of that tight face-lift look of celebs like Cher, Naomi Judd, or Pricilla Presley!! And I'm fine with that, because I think it really shows the character Stevie has deep down. I just wish she had been a little more rested for the Oprah Show, but overall, she looked great considering everything. Because as much as we hate to admit it, MaMa is getting older, she's 2 yrs younger than my mom, and I'm starting to see the same aging in Stevie that I see in my 64/65 yr old gemini mom. I think in 09' - her appearance on Jimmy Fallon's Late Night Show - I really took note of that reality.

Stevie is old. No denying it, but when she smiles her face looks better. She's got a great smile. She reminds me of Lady and the Tramp dog. It's fine with me. Makes this album more touching to me. She's not doing the plastic stuff like a lot of other ladies, but if she wants a longer career she might change that. Even Jane Fonda changed her toon about plastic surgery because she said her face did not represent what she fealt like inside. I think Stevie comes off as tired. Still, she looks beautiful, not plastic pulled so
