Oh, I was referring to everyone AFTER them lol. Should have made that clear. Obviously Lindsey was gorgeous and basically the peak in her tastes in men (At least physically), and Don was a cute average... certainly not bad looking!

well you know what they say hot women settle for "uglier" than themselves men because: A) they don't think they deserve better B) the men know they can't do any better and stick around i would love to sit in on a session with Stevie & her shrink the married men issues and wanted/being friends with all her exes is slightly disturbing. i mean, there's NO need to need relationships with them...they have no kids, no shared pets. Lindsey & Mick are one thing ... but the rest of them it's not like she uses them to write / co-write new material with them or to prop her career

And just for the record, I think mick is kinda cute. And since he's so thin.........hell yeah! (Ladies u know where I'm going)
Linds is beautiful. Don was doable. Paul was iight. Jimmy's eyebrows confused me! Joe scares me......I'd hate to see his face when he climaxed.....hopefully stevie only let him hit it from the back, I pray she never touched waddy, I can't recall the other 20 names lolj/k! |

Lindsey, Don, Mick... and then Tom if you're of the belief that they ever took it past friends. And I guess Waddy, too, if you want to horrify yourself with a belief in that potential pairing. But Lindsey and Mick are understandable, and she's known Waddy forever and ever anyway. Dave was just a one night stand really, I'd hardly call that a relationship. And they didn't really remain friends over the years, they just got reconnected recently. So all in all Don is the only one I can think of that, given the context, seems out of the ordinary for her to still be friends with to this day. That said, I'm probably missing about 15 boyfriends that she still talks to ... I can't keep up.

It always kind of amazes me when this "Stevie had ugly lovers" idea comes up. There really MUST be something wrong with her, going for those wealthy, talented, powerful, experienced men. I do hope the therapy kicks in soon.

Of all the fish in the sea, though, and I'm sure Stevie could have had her pick.. there are also people who look decent and have all of those qualities. It just seems like they wouldn't all have to necessarily be consistently hideous (disregarding Lindsey and Don)..

I was actually not refering only to looks. I know full well that gorgeous men can be total ****heads and those not overly blessed can be the most attractive men out there.
My issue is, Stevie is like the queen of romance. Yeah, she had loads of lovers but I'm pretty sure there was love (real or imagined) toward them, even if it was only a kind of free-love hippy thing and they were the guy of the moment. So, what bugs me is why so many of these rich, successful in their own right, knights-in-shining armor felt the need to later go on Howard Stern or wherever and brag about banging the blond. NOT romantic, not gentlemanly and not cool. Yeah, Don did it, too. But I give him a half-pass for being a friend for decades after. Mick did not (to my knowledge) behave in this way, but I view him as somewhat of a snake-oil salesman. And the whole Dave Stewart thing is a knee jerk reaction to the title of this thread. He just gives off a vibe of carnivals and opium dens. But, hearing that he bragged about their previous affair (which I never had heard of) and he's married now makes me think...why the hell would anyone want them to be together? She doesn't NEED another married lover. Or another blabbermouth who probably feels more like a man by bragging about his conquests. And I would guess there's nothing going on except marketing the new record. She needs a romantic figure but...I'm not sure those dudes actually exist so...the dog will just have to do. |
