ignorance for the sake of a joke or some sort of shock value with a comment. I havent seen the comments, but I imagine they were along the lines of her drinking or something like that?

So true,
Everyone stuffs up, or gets sick from time to time - so they should leave her alone. Even whether it is a stroke or a speech mishap.

I'm glad she went to a doctor to get herself checked out. That was absolutely *not* a case of being "tongue-tied." She was speaking gibberish and you could tell by the look on her face that she was horrified and knew something was wrong.

It could be nothing too serious, but it could've been a TIA (which can be a precursor to a stroke, sometimes preceding it by months), a minor stroke, or even a brain tumor. Being checked out by an EMT is not sufficient, and I'm glad she went in for some tests.

CBS finally had a nice exclusive interview with Serene Branson and what she experienced was a "complex migraine headache".

Branson recalls the incident telling KCBS:

"I was having trouble remembering the word for Grammy. I knew what I wanted to say, but I didn't have the words to say it. I started to think the words on the page are blurry. And I could notice that my thoughts were not forming the way they normally do." Branson adds, "I was embarrassed, I was terrified and confused, confused – what had just happened?"

The KCBS reporter has now returned back to work and plans to spread awareness on complex migraine headaches.

Me, I wish she would spread awareness about how the symptoms
of stroke are often overlooked or missed, even by people in the
medical profession like EMTs. (And she did have all
the symptoms of a possible, serious stroke.) And I wish she
would do some reporting on the underlying mystery of why the
EMTs on-scene didn't transport her to a hospital immediately
and why they weren't fired for such incompetence.
Time really is critical; for one treatment it's too late
after 5 hours.
