Feb. 8th is next Tues. Tuesdays are usually the day of a new release. It would be odd that the song was released today, unless of course they meant released to radio.

Single tracks used to be released to radio stations a week or so before the single was available to purchase on Tuesdays. New singles would get to radio stations by the end of the week and usually on the air by Friday. I don't know if it's still the same.

It just occurred to me. I actually love Stevie's modern vocal on Secret Love much much better than the old demo version. I think thats a first for me! I just went back and listened to the good ole Almanac bootleg demo, and while cute, Stevie's new vocal is really captivating and nuanced in all sorts if subtle ways. It's been a long time (25 yrs ago imo) since Stevie has been able to capture or better the vocal of an old demo.

Agreed ..if the vocal on this single is representative of thr rest of "In Your Dreams" then Dave and Glen need to be canonized.

I totally agree with this as well. But there have actually been a couple of times where I've felt Stevie's modern voice has been much more appropriate for her songs. For instance, I think the wisdom Stevie's voice carries on the Dance Silver Springs just totally blows away the more callow Rumours version. And yes... I remember hearing the song long before the Dance was even a glimmer in Mick Fleetwood's eye .

For some reason, I am unable to get this to work. It's the SL track released on radio. I am curious to hear the version that is being released to radio stations, and hoping for a extending song ending. Anyone care to listen and report back? http://www2.1055triplem.com/listen/n...g-stevie-nicks

It's the same version. Same ending. I'm beginning to think this is also the album version. I can see it ending cold like that and instantly segueing into another song. Like Trouble in Shangri~la into Candlebright did on TISL.

Thanks for the info. It seems an odd way to end a single, but oh well... I always liked the TISL transition into Candebright so will look forward hearing what the track SL segways into.

Her voice sounds great on the record. This is what struck me when I first heard it and was in my initial post about the record.

I didn't know WHO Stevie Nicks was. I was curious so I joined the community and started reading here and there.
Yesterday I listened to a SN Greatest Hits and to her songs for the very first time.

Where have I been all my life??? How could I miss such a goddess?!?!

No need to ask: already pre-ordered her new album and listening in repeat-mode "Secret Love". <3

PS: Did not found a "presentation Thread". Hope you don't mind me posting it here.
Welcome to The Ledge! And it is never too late to become a Stevie Nicks fan.

I wonder why there's no mention on Nicks Fix about this.

There is a mention....

Taken from the NicksFix:
Stevie's New Album!
Stevie's new solo album, In Your Dreams, will be released on May 3. The CD is available for pre-order and all pre orders will come with an instant download of the new single "Secret Love!" Visit the Pre-Order page to take advantage of this offer.

Maybe tomorrow they will update the news & post a link to purchase the single on Amazon for those who do not want to pre-order In Your Dreams. I wonder if the single will be available on Itunes as well? Otherwise what is the deal with the amazon exclusive? It's sort of interesting because I would tend to think that Itunes sells more singles than Amazon.

I meant a mention about the single going on sale tomorrow. Hopefully they update it today.
