I thought Every Day was a much better song than Say You Will. As for Maybe Love, that song is pure dreck, along with Unconditional Love. I'd take Docklands over either one of those turkeys any day.

Does anyone seriously think Stevie is going to have a top ten single (or even a top 40 single) ever again? It has nothing to do with how good the song is.

Yes. Especially on the higher/more projected notes such as the part where she goes "ooooh-weee"... her voice sounds thin and strained there. I was hoping for a much more buttery vocal. Such as the one on Cheaper Than Free.

Those days are long over. It was a feat when Cher did with Believe a dozen years ago... at the time she was the oldest female to have such a high charting song. Stevie's a decade older now than Cher was then. It's not gonna happen.

Wow, I think you're being harsh. You may as well say that every vocal on RAL is also "strained" too. That's just Mama being Mama IMHO.

I think Stevie could have a huge chart hit today if she did some middle-of-the-road country in the vein of Lady Antebellum. I mean, if she just added a pedal steel to "Secret Love" and took the synthy bass out of it, I think she's halfway there.

Generally, if you're over 30 (and that's probably being generous) you're not going to have a "hit." Even Britney Spears is getting long in the tooth. I haven't paid attention to what's on the "charts" for a very long time. It stopped being relevant to me way before the Grammys did. My bf's brother played me Katy Perry and Lady Gaga...it's garbage.

I think the snippet sounds pretty good. I think her voice sounds great on the song. I haven't pre-ordered yet and I'm glad I haven't since no one has gotten their download yet. I'm thinking of going to Ft. Lauderdale to see Rod and Stevie in March. Anyone else thinking of going?

Ummm radio would not play Believe until it became a mega smash hit around the world. I blew off the single until it couldn't be denied. It was because she was old. And I would say it was exactly feats, since she has little to do with her own music in my opinion.

She's going to generate a lot of attention with this song. It represents exactly what we've been hearing about the album, "dreamy".

"In Your Dreams" is supposed to be more uptempo song and not as etherial, but generally "dreamy" is the word that's been thrown around describing the album. You can't have a rock song as the lead single if that's not what the majority of the content on the album represents.

Very likely Ledgies don't often think the singles are the best tracks on the album!

I like the snippet.

I prefer rock Stevie over AC Stevie, but I'll take what I can get nowadays.

Should have gotten rid of the "oh-wee".

My mom lives outside of WPB and I'm seriously considering flying down the week of the show. But we'll see. Otherwise, I'm probably going to MSG.

I just ordered the cd too. Hopefully the download shows up soon. I'm wondering if she'll do a cd signing like she did back in '09. I couldn't make it then, but there's no way i'd miss it again.

She left the "Oooheeee" part in. Yuck. Otherwise not bad.

I enjoyed the bit I heard. Yes it is commercial but after 10 years, that's what they have to do to get some attention & hopefully airplay.
Our expectations for Stevie are so high that it's impossible for her to please everyone. Plus, no one's heard the entire thing, we all may be pleasantly surprised.
I am glad she's doing this stint with Rod Stewart. I just read a blurb in Pollstar about the tour that says it's going to include a nice stage production. I think Stevie will enjoy that. She loves being the big time rock n roll star, and if she enjoys it , maybe it will come across in her performances.

I'll eat my hat if she does.
