You really can't go wrong with this album... it's so lyrically honest; lots of deep soul searching. On top of that, it's just dripping with beauty.

Lindsey's first two albums are definitely on the wacky side. Go Insane is about as far out in left field as you can go in pop music, but it's tremendous fun.
I just listened to Countdown and Wrong by Linds.. they're pretty darn good~! What you said about his first 2 albums is funny because my Mother told me he was on LSD when he wrote them and she tells me it's just one of his acid trips. I dunno what to make of that,

You're from Canada...what part? I'm in Downstate New York, but I think I know someone on here from northern Manitoba that told me what real cold was like.

OK, back on topic, I have heard bts of Law and Order and, in many ways, it's unintetionally hilarious. Some of the voices he puts on his songs are just funny-sounding to me for some odd reason. And as for Go Insane, the parts I heard are a bit odd, but I'll maintain the fact that his hair then was a crime against hair everywhere.

And speaking of Wrong, did you hear my favorite line, the one that gets bleeped on TV?

Law And Order was a wonderful concept album. Although I do admit that he must have been on twelve different types of hallucinogenics at least to come up with Bwana. It was like a stoner's Lion Sleeps Tonight hehe. But I love it

Yes, that line! I thought it was funny how they had to bleep it every time they said it on his Behind the Music.

NYC is a 2 hour train ride for me on the LIRR, so that makes life easier. Maybe you could come down here again sometime.

I agree with you about that being a good starter album and, of course GOS too. To heck with telling people to go in chronological order. Let's get these folks hooked first and then we can give them Bwana.

What are some of his best songs? Where should I start listening?!
You've never listened to LB solo! Do you have any used music stores around? If not, try Amazon.com. I would start at the beginning with Law and Order. It's different! As complete albums, I'd say Out of the Cradle, Go Insane, and Under the Skin are the best.

I always thought that was weird. In 1992, when the video was played on MTV/VH-1, they never bleeped Mr. Rockcock. Why do that so many years later??

It's a weird phenomenon. They tend to beep everything in songs these days. I heard them bleep the word shoot or shot the other day. Guess nothing gets past them.

I'm really starting to feel that there's only two of us on the board who REALLY advocate Go Insane rofl. We may as well just keep the album for ourselves hehe.

I hate the hair, but the album is good. I like the title track and Slow Dancing and the other songs remind me of Pink Floyd, which is cool and brings back memories (my mom is nuts about PF and I still remember her playing me dark Side of the Moon and telling me all about it)

The hair is fabulous lol! I love all his funky do's, even the ones that are possibly "do not's" lol. I can slightly see the resemblance with the Floyd, especially D.W. Suite.

Play in the Rain sounds like PF too. Anyways, as atrocious his hair was, it's still better than what most guys have (and even some women)
