What are some of his best songs? Where should I start listening?!
To me, the best starter album for Lindsey is Out Of The Cradle. It's just a gorgeous work. Some of the songs have spoken or instrumental intro tracks beforehand... it's just a master work, in my opinion. You really can't go wrong with this album... it's so lyrically honest; lots of deep soul searching. On top of that, it's just dripping with beauty.

Lindsey's first two albums are definitely on the wacky side. Go Insane is about as far out in left field as you can go in pop music, but it's tremendous fun. It never fails to lift my mood. Law And Order is somewhat more conventional, but there is a decent mixture of quirky songs to go along with the middle of the road tracks as well.

Gift Of Screws in my opinion is another great starter album for a new Lindsey listener. It's kind of a grab bag of the best-of Lindsey's different styles he's tinkered with throughout his career. There are acoustic songs, experimental songs, pop songs, rock songs, quirky songs, traditional songs. Yet there's a commonality to all the tracks. It's like the perfect album, in my book. It's a microcosm of everything Lindsey Buckingham's ever been.

I found Under The Skin to be ceaselessly boring . All those sighing/loud whispering vocals grate my nerves, and almost none of the songs have any form of bass to them. It's definitely a concept project... it's just not to my tastes. Down On Rodeo is one of the best songs ever penned by Lindsey, I just think it's unfortunate it got lost in this very ho-hum collection.
