I came up with and idea, I'm trying to get trending on Twitter.
NicksFest!! I figure, if Ozzy can have OzzFest, why couldn't Stevie have NicksFest??!! I mean, there are so many artists that list Stevie as an influence, and love her music, I'm sure they'd love to perform. Stevie could be the main attraction, with other artists performing prior to her set. Stevie has just as much a following as Ozzy. So, if Ozzy can do it, why not Stevie Nicks?!! If you like the idea, help us make it a trending topic on Twitter. Maybe Dave Stewart will see it, and show it to Stevie. In a dream world, maybe she could use this to launch the new material. Hey, if i'm going to dream, I'll dream big! http://twitter.com/19lisa78 |

Me too, Ethan. Plus she'd probably trim her set so as to make sure the show ends in time for her curfew.

Lillith Fair is bombing, I think that's a sign there only a very small market for all-female festivals.

As for the festival, the idea does sound nice on paper, but it'd be hard to say how it'd be if it acutally went down. |

A lot of dates have been cancelled and several big names like Carly Simon, Norah Jones and Kelly Clarkson have pulled out. In the 90's the festival was a great succes but the 2010 revival is not doing great at all. I imagine "Nicksfest" is very similair in artists and crowd, so that's why I think it's a bad idea.

Screw Ozzfest, my ninjas. What Stevie needs to do is just headline Ladies' Night during the Gathering of the Juggalos:
Someone get Gallagher, Tone Loc, and Coolio on the phone! We got some MIRACLES to create! WHOOP WHOOP! On a more serious note, though, I don't know how successful a Nicksfest would end up being, but a great compromise would be if we could get Stevie to be curator for All Tomorrow's Parties some day. THAT would be awesome and entirely do-able.

I really think Lilth fair is bombing because they is no consistent line up of performers at every show aside from Sarah. It would have been better to have 4 major acts; tag Heart, Carly Simon, Kelly Clarkson,... who ever but have them perform at all the shows other than that is just a high priced Sarah show, which I do not find as interesting.
A Stevie Fest could exist she'd just have to have consistent artist to play with her like Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow... there's huge list of artist she could have play with her. She's done co-headlining shows with Don and they were great. I think it would be fun. |

The NY Times had an article this Sunday about how Lady Gaga has completely changed the game for female pop acts. They mention the Lilith Fair's failure, and how some artists are changing their looks and sound to be as outrageous as her.
