Stevie's got her own very distinct style though.
I am also of the age, well 40, where penmanship was also taught in school. On our report cards, we were actually given a letter grade for it, ABCD or F. We were also graded on " conduct " as well. Anyway, I too love the fact that she took the time to write a note, regardless of what she wrote. Thumbs up Stevie. Thanx!

I prefer to hear "direct" from Stevie--love the notes she has written from time to time, and wish she would do more of that. It only takes a moment. Not into the tweeting thing either.

Awww, she's so cute. I wish she'd do that more often for us, but it is fantastic to have direct confirmation of the new music. Yay Stevie!!!

Well consider me a contrarian, but am I the only one who isn't really enamored with this terse, dry, serious, shall I say "bitchy" incarnation of Stevie? Where are all of the dashes, trailing thoughts, run-on sentences, etc.? Where is the old fashioned ingenue all lost in the hi-tech world? This sounds like something that should have come from Karen rather than a hand-written note on personal letterhead. If Stevie felt the need to write something personally, she should have written something uplifting and hopeful yet ethereal and oblique.

Hell yes.

To me, her note read like an email from my Grandma.

I"m going to have to agree with you on the fact that it hasn't been taught in the past 20 years. I'm 17 and the only thing i was taught was cursive in second grade but we we were only forced to use it by certain teachers up to fifth grade. When you don't have to use it you don't and you forget. I really wish i was taught more I can barely sign my own name :/

I really like the way stevie writes. I think it's really unique and beautiful just like her

And about the letter itself it made my week!!!

And what exactly could she write in that fashion? "Just like the white winged dove- I do not tweet. I fear the gypsies that remain were hopelessly enchanted by a deceiver of the night- but heed my words- beware of strangers who are new to your eyes... Come in~out of the darkness ~Love, Stevie Nicks~~~ P.S. I have been writing like a maniac, it is MAJICK!~~~~~"

Oh I forgot to throw "well..." in there a few times. ****.

Because she actually took the time to sit down and write this? Alot of this guessing & judging is sad. I admire & respect Stevie even more for caring about her fans enough not to give a **** about that stupid thing called 'Twitter.
