More of the same:

"Memories fade
Like the wind...
Oh, and she says,
'No, this will never come again'!"

"Well, I knew that this was just for now...
And that time would take its toll
Upon us all...
Well, it would break our hearts
~Tear us apart!
But no one understood
The affairs of the heart..."

"Well, every day I search to find a new way
Some new thing to say, something to make you stay
Something that might mean something to you

Something...!"

"No one understands this love
No one ever will
'Til his dying day
Not even he himself can change this
She loves him still..."

Some may find me to be a bit of a Street Angel:
"I can't help but wonder if...
Every once in a while...you remember the girl
When you were a homeless angel...
that drove you wild
Strange and elusive..."

How could I forget the most telling lyrics of all:

"It wasn't that I didn't love you
But I just couldn't make you see
That as hard as I tried to make it all better
It was not better for me...

The love that I gave you was all around you
There was nothing left for me...
But I hate to say it
But I saw it coming
My feelings were changing...

I only say what you want to hear
When there is a conflict
I stay clear~
When he was loving, I was in tears
He knows my fears...

When love changes in the flash of an eye
It leaves people burnin' by the side of the road
You stand there you got nothing to hold~
For the first time you are alone
For the first time you are alone...

That don't mend the sorrow
Or reinvent the pleasure.."

And, no, I'm not the Stevie character in this song...

Aww the best line of that song: "Everything happens for a reason, stay clear". I have to tell myself that constantly...

No Questions Asked.

I once sang this to the love of my life, while it was playing, so he could understand the words. Afterwards he agreed the song could have been about our relationship.

Aww, thanks for sharing Viv. I used to make mix cd's of Stevie's songs for the love of my life and try to make her listen to the words but obviously she didn't understand! I'm not bitter or anything .

The first lyrics that stood out to me were "But never have I been a blue calm sea I have always been a storm" I felt that that described me when I first heard it. I absolutly love it.

Generally, I'd say I was the Wild Heart. It's always been one of my favourite songs, and I guess it's something we can all relate to. I definately feel wild when it comes to love and relationships and I suppose that can be a blessing and a curse sometimes...

In a slightly sadder way, I've always felt a connection to Christian (Spinning Wheels). This song describes the way I feel deep down, though I don't really express that or let anyone know.

I guess these songs represent my public and private personas respectively.

Gypsy -- I heard it in the car today driving home from work and I thought back to what Stevie was saying last year on tour about Gypsy (some of the time ) about how as much as she can appreciate all that came out of being in FM, she did and still reflects back and remembers the simplier times and how really wonderful those years before she was famous really were and how it took her a long time after everything with FM came to be to realize that. Ok, that's a vast paraphrase, but those of you who heard the intro on the Unleashed tour will know I'm somewhere in the ballpark.

Recently, I've been on such a nostalgia kick reconnecting with old camp and school friends and so I've been reminiscing about my teen and college years and how fun and momentous some of those experiences that seemed so insignificant at the time really were.
