Stevie Song That Describes You

If you could pick a Stevie song that best describes you what would it be and why? Of course it doesn’t have to be literal but when you ask yourself this question what is the first thing that comes to mind? How would other people describe you? For me it’s Storms since I’ve always been a storm. I’m definitely becoming calmer as time goes by but there was a time in my life where I was far from a blue calm sea. I think to others I’m probably the wild heart.

it's kinda a given, but does "Miranda" count? LOL:lol:

it'd probably be..."Rock a Little"

I've never been in love, and i don't want to be "tangled up in it". Music is my world, and all i ever do is "hit it"! LOL Also, i've been a dancer since i could walk and i consider myself a "rock and roll ballerina" (sorta...) Anyways, basically it's my jam out tune. And IMO, it's me.

regarding relationships, "Rooms on Fire" i relate to a lot. There's this one guy who i like a lot, and i feel that whenever he walks in the room the room is on fire!

Well, I can't just choose one.

Sisters of the Moon- God how this song relates to me. In an interview Stevie talked about this song being about when she saw herself in a mirror and she thought "Oh poor sad little thing, she must be dying. And I stood back and said, 'but this is you, so then therefore you must be dying.' And then I stood back and said, 'but you don't want to die and neither do I, so we must change this now'. So that's when I said, so be my sister, or don't let me down this time, because I'm not going out on some cloud without you and you look like you're on your way out now and I'm not going with you, so we better separate this and put it back together and realize that this is not such a frail creature and that this frail creature is certainly not going to go down for Fleetwood Mac, or anybody else!" I had a very similar experience recently and I've spent the last few months "separating this and putting it back together." Also, it seems like a lot of people I know love me, but still they're the most cruel. And I feel most of the time I am surrounded by strangers. Even tho they are people I have known for years, do they "know my name?" Do they really know me?

Mabel Normand- I feel every line in this song is descriptive of me.

Imperial Hotel- Ha, I'm always wondering why I'm so alone, but it's the path I have chosen. And you can get me, but you can't keep me and you can't catch my fall. I will call you when I need you, you know where I live.

And like SapphireSister, to others I'm probably the wild heart.

Possibly, at this moment in time, I Miss You. I've gone through a REALLY bad break-up recently, to the point where I just sat and cried for about a week (and I NEVER cry), and I still miss the person so much it hurts.

Sorry, it's not like me to be sappy xD

StreetAngel95 06-03-2010 04:55 PM

^ sorry to hear about that! :xoxo:

Thanks, it was a hard month.

I broke up with my Girlfriend in January, so I don't think I was ready for a new relationship, especially with a guy this time. But anyways, Stevie's music always speaks to me. I've been totally hooked on Blue Lamp and Fall From Grace today xD

She helps us through a lot doesn't she? Fall From Grace is a great rockin' out song. Just blast it and sing along. That helps me. Sorry to hear about your break-up.

I can't believe Bella Donna didn't come to mind when I started this thread! That's always been the song I swear she wrote for me (not that I ride ponies or anything lol).

"Bella Donna' is a term of endearment I use and the title is about making a lot of decisions in my life, making a change based on the turmoil in my soul. You get to a certain age where you want to slow down, be quieter. The title song was basically a warning to myself and a question to others. I'm thirty-three years old, and my life has been very up and down in the last six years.
~Stevie Nicks, Rolling Stone, 1981

I'm thirty-three and have many times walked a dark path in hopes of coming in out of the darkness. I'm just now learning how to slow things down and question why I chose to do certain things over and over when they are not working. As Stevie says, I've had to stop being so crazy and too thin and disappearing...

So just play along and say what one comes to mind for the present time in your life and why.

Others might tag me as Whole Lotta Trouble :) but I'd go with Destiny. That song has always grabbed me--and brings to mind a few special memories (or dramatic episodes as I thought at the time).

"No one heard her call his name
No one heard the sounds she made
They wouldn't have liked it much anyway
To know that she still loves him..."
