Alan, I set one up on a Blondie forum that was rigged to a rick roll. I'm really proud

Cosmo?

I believed the first part but then I remembered it was April 1st. We can only wish it was half true.

Time will tell if this is a hoax or not.
I am curious to know if the people
so upset at this very, very sensitive
topic have a funny bone or not?

David and Carrie, is it all right if I invite
LukeA$$ to our Snipe hunt? I know he's
a bit of a dandy, but I think he'd have fun.
I would invite Vivfox, but I think he'd have
more fun hunting snakes. I am glad he learned
not to read my silly posts. It does beg the question,
why and how did he respond to a thread he did not
read?

Grammatical errors and typos are my game.

I wished it was true but I know every April 1st we always get these kinda threads.....when your promised something that you'd love to have.....as they say if it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't true........though if Stevie or Lindsey read this thread maybe 'they' could really get a clue & really release it but I doubt it.......anyway, it was a good joke......LOL.......I loved the booklet idea too......

I have a funny bone and certainly can appreciate a good April's Fool joke....it's just when it's something a lot of fans want, it sucks to find out it's a stupid joke.... thankfully, I didn't get sucked in because I read the responses first... so it's all good...

Humor on...

Thumbs up

I have actually come to look forward to your April Fools posts!

And to all of you who are all bent out of shape over this: these annual posts tend to be more like prophecy!! ( and that's no april fools joke either!) So don't lose hope just yet.

Honestly. Do you guys think this is any crueler than the way people in Fleetwood Mac have been saying for decades "We'll release it on CD some day" (or fill in whatever floats your boat: "I'll release my Rhiannon soundtrack some day" or "My solo album is 99 percent finished").

If the band would shut up about it after all these years, there wouldn't be so many people still holding their breath for it. When a DJ asks Stevie & Lindsey about it, they should just say, "We're not going to bother--sorry."

[QUOTE=David;880921]Honestly. Do you guys think this is any crueler than the way people in Fleetwood Mac have been saying for decades "We'll release it on CD some day" (or fill in whatever floats your boat: "I'll release my Rhiannon soundtrack some day" or "My solo album is 99 percent finished").

I agree completely with this. It's so frustrating! They own the damn album and they could have put it out long ago if they really wanted to or could be bothered. Make a decision either way and stop baiting your fans. It's not like they're new artists who need to do that kind of thing for publicity any more. Just. make. a decsision. Ok - rant over!

You know for years I always posted my annual April Fools press release on the Enchanted mailing list and it was ALWAYS a huge hit and met with groans yes, but mostly the "gotcha" was appreciated. Then two years ago I decided to bring my joke here to the Ledge and all hell broke loose. The hate mail that I got as a result was mind boggeling to me. I had people saying I should be booted from the forum etc. It was insane. As I said over at Enchanted it was always taken for what it was, a joke. But here fans are far more sensitive, more so than I ever dreamed.
What's funny is in my press releases I just made up everything, but in 2004 I posted that in an exclusive interview with Mick he revealed that the second leg of the Say You Will tour was going to be kicking off and that they are switching up the set list and one of the changes was that "Sara" would be included. I made that up, but lo and behold the song WAS in the set list!!!

Yes; at least they didn't give an actual release date!

Good point. And I was actually much more crest fallen when there was a thread in the Christine Forum about her NEW CD to be released in the spring of 2009. It was everything I'd wished for--a genuine Christine solo career (in the studio) with some momentum and only a few years between records. Alas, only to learn that NEW release was merely a re-release of ITM.
