Well, no, not necessarily--once isn't enough. Heroin a narcotic. Repeated usage will lead to tolerance and addiction. It can be snorted, smoked or injected. Given Stevie's preferred usage of cocaine, it's possible it was cut into the coke and was snorted. I guess we'll need more info from "Ask Stevie" as to which agent was slipped to her.

I guess LSD can be inhaled as well as taken orally or injected--but Stevie would certainly be aware if someone stuck her! I suppose we'll have to chalk up the article as an "unclear antecedent" in terms of which drug was slipped to her. You think it's the former, while I took it to mean the latter, merely because it came last.

Stevie referred to something that "made it impossible for us to ever be together again."

Did she mean "together" as in lovers only? I thought she meant it in a more general sense, because it seems she really did stop hanging out with Rupert after that point.

In that light, his being gay wouldn't have been the driving factor behind her never again spending ANY time with him whatsoever.

I think he did something heinous--like break things down at the Silver Springs Emporium. Rupert was like a bull in a china shop. He destroyed Tiffany lamps, depression glass, custard glass, carnival glass, Art Deco bedroom furniture, antiques soda bottles, & Victorian brass bed frames. He must have just gone on a mad rampage.

I was once slipped heroin and new immediately something was not right. I though it was coke but it didn't taste like it. I was so pissed at the guy but he had already immediately passed out so I hightailed it outta there. I really thought about going back to his place and beating the living **** out of him but figured it was not worth the trouble or aggravation of being brought up on assault charges. I did try it two or three times afterwards and never got hooked as I had heard the horror stories. I like Stevie also had a very addictive personality through much of the 1980's and 90's but wanted no part of heroin.

But if that happened and he destroyed the blue lamp that she carried from her mother's home and all the shattering glass went past her, wouldn't she have stopped loving him too? She said this had nothing to do with love.

It kind of sounds to me like he was into drugs and she didn't want any part of that in her life after going to Betty Ford. She says it had nothing to do with love. It has to be some thing she found unacceptable to her. I can't believe it would be because he was gay.

I always assumed he knocked her up and she aborted it.

I know this might offend people who like to pretend she never had abortions, so like I say its ONLY a theory.

I think if she had found out he was gay - it would hardly mean she "Never see him again" lol

The cocaine story is very plausible having said all that - she wouldn't want to be around that just a couple of years after getting clean.

Boy, talk about something that would make one hell of an interesting chapter in Stevie's book ( that she will never write). Anyway, there was once a story going round that his wife had caught them in bed together. That Rupert had never really mentioned his wife to Stevie or anything. This prob is not true but I hope it is cause it's really dirty and Stevie has always come across is being kind of bitter about that relationship. You know, his name is mis-spelled in the Timespace tourbook. I have always wondered if that was supposed to be. Hummmmm.
