Oh yeah, they were offered $1 billion a few years ago, but considering the money they made being Swedens biggest export product, that's really not a big deal for them. Recently there were rumors they would reunite to preform a series of concerts in O2 arena in London. I don't think it will happen since here in Europe it's a well known fact that Agnetha lives a reclusive life on an island, and does really weird things. She had an affair with her stalker for example which resulted in such a mess that she was fearing for her life. Both Frida and Agnetha are FANTASTIC vocalist.

the Nov 26 issue of Rolling Stone was about the 25th anniversary of the RocknRoll Hall of Fame. Anthony DeCurtis did an article called "How Do You Get Into the Hall of Fame?" I couldn't find it online but I did find an article about the article....
"The article also sheds a little bit of new light on the Hall of Fame induction process. Anthony DeCurtis, a regular contributor for RS and a Hall of Fame Nominating Committee member writes that there are now 35 members on the Committee. Another interesting revelation is that once the Committee comes up with 10 to 15 nominees (this year there was 12), the final vote is decided by more than 500 voters, of which, includes every artist who has ever been inducted. This is important because the more members in one genre of rock music, the more likely they will vote in their peers. Since 1986, the Hall of Fame has inducted 164 artists but of course, not all of them are alive. So, its safe to assume that only about 25 to 30 percent of the voting comes from actual musicians/artists. The rest are journalists and record company executives. No fans. What DeCurtis doesn't mention is how or why certain journalists are named as voters. I'm sure its alot like the voting process in BCS College Football . It likely comes down to beat writers in major metropolitan cities.. DeCurtis also writes that it was Werner who recently decided that the the number of inductees be capped at five per year. Wenner says: "We're trying to do this for the history books. It can't be a popularity contest. There are plenty of years coming up." DeCurtis also writes that the nomination of KISS brought up the greatest debate this year and that the Committee was looking to include more women, minorities and young people."

Just saw this thread.
Really? Look, I enjoy Stevie's solo career quite a bit (certainly more than the average person), but lets be realistic. Little Stevie Winwood will make it in to the RRHOF as a solo artist before SN will (and I'm not being sarcastic either). |

If anyone was on the fence, the success of Mamma Mia probably helped push Abba over the edge. Michele
