I disagree. I don't think it has anything to do with whether or not she's in Fleetwood Mac or solo. Her TISL tour energy level was no where near what it was on the SYW tour. I remember thinking back then that she really stepped up her game and was performing much better than she had 2 years prior. Opening night of SYW was a different story - she did not seem happy at all and overall just looked very uncomfortable. But by the time they hit Atlantic City a few weeks later, she was very much in the moment and on top of her game (incidentally that was the first show where she introduced her possessed-like twirling during the middle of Stand Back).

Imagine eight-hundred people -- including one onstage -- falling & breaking a hip simultaneously at a Mac concert. What a disaster it could be (for the boot industry).

One day, I shall tell you of the extraordinary onstage fall by Marilyn Manson I saw several years ago (when Manson co-billed with Hole). Manson was wearing enormous platform boots & assless chaps. The mishap wasn't pretty.

YES!!!! Thank you for posting that. I mentioned it about a week ago but didn't post it, but THAT is the best example out there of how awseome Stand Back was on the SYW tour, and how it pales this year. Especially that atrocity that was opening night. Its gotten better since but in the fall of 03 it was almost 70's Rhiannon esque her energy level on that song. People get too hung up on the "spins" during the musical break, but it's everything else that matters to me.

BUT I think you need to post Silver Springs from any show from SYW to any show from unleashed and the 180 is for the better this time. Same with Gold Dust Woman, Stevie is awseome for both tours, but she kicks the vocal slightly up for unleashed and the band plays it way better.

And its not the same song, but I'd add Storms 09 VS. Beautiful Child 03. I was incredibly excited at the "prospect" of seeing both live for the first time in the history of the mac, BC didn't dissapoint one bit but Storms blows me the **** away and BC was just good.

So absolutely agree about SB but I think she has more "gotten betters" then "gotten worse" for this tour.
