We're on, the checks should be sent to me first and I'll forward on to John. He asked Karen to get the information on how to endorse the check. When I have that I will post. Those interested in donating can send me a PM or post and I'll PM you my address. Karen said Stevie was happy to hear about the donations!

Do you think setting up a PayPal account would help facilitate this a bit? After all, the big day is only a few weeks away. Knowing how lazy I have become, I can empathize with the contingent who would rather not hassle with writing a check, licking a stamp, going to the post office... Since I am already set up, let me know if I can help.

If the charity has a PayPal I am sure this can work. But it may wind up as an individual donation and not a collective donation from The Ledge. I know snail mail can be a pain but dude, it's STEVIE! And our soldiers!

Does Stevie's particular charity *only* do the ipod thing? I'm inclined to agree with you, Carrie. However if it's the only thing her charity provides and we are doing it for her birthday, I can get behind it.

What about if you set up your own paypal account then people can pay you the donation amount directly, and one cheque for the full amount donated can be sent from you to the charity? Or a combination of contributions through paypal, and also those that send their cheques to you individually? Just an idea. Paypal is simple... I don't use cheques, plus I'm in Canada and would contribute.

I agree, paypal is the easiest way.
