Does anyone have a piano demo of Love Is to post? I love that song, but I've never heard a demo of it .

Here is the paino demo I have -- I think it is the only one out there.

I think her voice is far from perfect, but the vulnerability in it is striking to me.

The way she introduced Beautiful Child during the SYW tour made me think that she must have wanted to sing it in the past and "they" wouldn't let her. She introduced it like someone finally gave her permission.

My very favorite version of the song!!! That mix of people performed it awesomely together. She definitely says, "They never let me do Gold Dust Woman that long". The ending is cut off in that video, so you can't hear her full sentence. I've been dying for an audio of that. It's on Bob Welch's album called Live At The Roxy (or something like that), but I can't find anywhere that has individual song downloads, and I don't want the whole album.

which is funny to me for two reasons:
1. It's such a warhorse it's hard to imagine there was a time when it wasn't in the set? :laugh
It doesn't seem like FM performed it very often, for some reason...at least not as often as other songs, but I could be wrong. Early on, she seemed to have performed it a lot in her solo acts.

Do you mean good tact or bad tact? If it's the latter, she sometimes came off with odd comments on stage in those days. Being heavily on coke probably didn't make tact one of her strong qualities. In that performance, she seemed excited that she was given the time to get fully into the song, and blurted that statement out in her excitement. I don't think she meant any harm by it...at least not that time

I suspected that. And she does it so beautifully live too. The only reason I can figure why she would not have put it into her concert sets is because it is about her best friend's death, and maybe she didn't want the emotional burden of performing it regularly.

However, she managed to pull off a very haunting and emotional Beauty And The Beast. I've always wondered which concert this was. Does anyone know? Was it part of the Wild Heart tour? It was professionally filmed, so there should be a good audio of it somewhere.

Plus the "Love is what you believe it is" line should have made the finished song.

The Highwayman would be real great, but my two picks would be "If I Were You" and "Fireflies" only this time in front of an audience. (The one on the live album was a soundcheck recording)
Thank you for the linke. I couldn't open it, however. But I appreicate it. At least I know it's out there.

For the life of me, I will NEVER get why she cuts lines from her songs. She did it for Fall From Grace, Gypsy, Sara, SOTM, etc. I think it is the guys doing it. I say this because she has consistently referred to this being the case. And - some idiot cut the extra and beautiful:

You smile
and you make me feel good inside
it's a feeling
and it's so hard to hide

from Songbird - not to mention the lovely and IMO inspirational musical bridge that went with it.

Here it is:

I am unsure if you have this - Straight Back from the Mirage rehearsals:

Also - since I am in a yousendit frenzy, here is Fleetwood Mac jamming on EO17 during the Mirage rehearsals. Interetingly, if that is LB playing the lead guitar, I guess he must have heard BD by then.

It's the Capitol Centre gig in Landover mid stride on the first leg of the Wild Heart tour. It's emblematic of the tour. If this isn't your thing, chances are good you wouldn't like other recordings from the tour. This wasn't a momentary aberration; this was "Stevie Nicks" at that time.
