I know, it's totally seasoned my soul. I'm disenchanted. This must be another test. The heart says danger. Such a disastrous sound. I beg of you now, reconsider me? Because it hurts too much.

I just despise these singles (or minor hits):

I Can't Wait
Sorcerer
Sometimes It's A Bitch
Love's A Hard Game To Play
Two Kinds Of Love

I also despise these fan favs:
Rock and Roll
Rose Garden

Since we are only talking about hits or fan favs. I'm going to say Beauty and the Beast. It is just too over the top for me.

It's because 80% of Ledgies don't actually have souls.

I have a confession. I can't stand Talk To Me or Seven Wonders. I was in Taco Bell when the former came on and it just reminded me how much I hated that song. I've tried listening to it once every two weeks or so, and I feel like that guy who keeps passing out in a pool of vomit after drinking a six-pack of beer, trying to "acquire a taste" for it. I have the same problem with Seven Wonders. The helium-high, spazzy vocals irritate me to no end. It's like listening to a 16-year old girl on a sugar rush trying to sound like Stevie. Same thing with Talk To Me. I have no idea what happened to Stevie between 1983 and 1985 (or 1987) that made her want to find every flaw in her singing voice and push them to new heights, or why some people actually want to hear her sing like that again. I'm actually glad she can't sing that high anymore!

Wow, I could not disagree more. I absolutely love “Talk To Me”, not her best vocal but the song is joyous. I have to admit, it did take me some time to like “Seven Wonders” but after all of these years, I think a lot of fans have come to really enjoy this song. It’s on my list of Stevie songs that are fun and upbeat. And as far as her vocals, I find “Seven Wonders” to be one of her strongest vocals ever. There was something very powerful and sexy about Stevie’s vocals during the Tango era, and that is especially evident on the remixes of Big Love and Family Man. Stevie came out of Betty Ford feeling great obviously and it showed in her vocal delivery on Tango. And bite your tongue on the suggestion that fans don’t like “Desert Angel.”

Ok ok, I do know a lot of fans don’t like it, but I will never understand why. The music is beautiful and her vocals on that tracks are some of her most passionate ever.

Its just not catchy to me. The only catchy part is the whole "Don't Blame it on Me" part and that sounds like the riff from Sara.

Now if it had turned out like the Dressing Room Demo...

Then it would have been way too upbeat and perky for Stevie's current emotional state.

I certainly agree that Stevie should "freshen" up future live shows however, I don't think Beauty and the Beast works anywhere else in the set but the end. It's so deep and intense; I think it has more of an impact that way being the last song. When Stevie did it in the middle of the set during some shows in 2005, it simply wasn't the same for me; it's definitely a closing song.

I just love everything about that song, from the spirits in flight to the hopelessly enchanted children back to the chips of an already broken heart right down to the darkest places of your mind.

Especially the children. Whooaaaaaa, they're hoooooopelessly enchaaaaanted.

I guess I found the right thread then.

Just can't get into it. I remember when I got my Ipod in 05', I put Wild Heart on first and tried to get into the songs I didn't like. The only one that rubbed off was Nothing Ever Changes.
