Thumbs up My Youngstown Stevie Experience!!

Ummmm...... WOW!! That's about the best word to describe the show last night. My ears, even this morning, are still ringing from the excitement of it all. (and from the noise. I went to the show with my mom, dad, and younger sister. This was our first time seeing Stevie solo, and I was crazy excited... We all were......

Our seats were pretty freakin' good. Section 101 row Q, so we were a little to the side, which was nice because I could see through the people up to Stevie and not just the back of people's heads in front of me. So, that was nice.

Before the show, my mom and I went up to one of the security guards and asked if he knew about the Edge walk. He said that yes, he did, and that holding people back was going to be his biggest challenge of the evening. So really, this is just a nice way of me saying that security sucked...... But that's ok, I guess, I gotta say though, that I was a little heartbroken.

Vanessa was really good. My dad thought she was really cute, as he does with most raven haired musicians. The guy next to me was rude though, because he ke[t saying "enough with this girl, leave the stage already". AND on top of that, the audience wa talking pretty loudly while she was on stage.

Before Vanessa got on, my sister and I got some tour shirts, and slipped them over our pre-existing ones. Unfortunately, I didn't run into any of you guys at all, but maybe you all saw me?!?!

So, after Vanessa, the wait began. You could fel the tension in the air. It wasn't really tension as much as it was just huge anticipation, but it was still present.

And then Stevie comes out.........

There's the drum solo to Stand Back, and then the woman that we all love, the one we all admire, walks out on stage. Really for all of that song, I'm just standing there thinking, "Is this really her?" I'm looking at her, and it's really bizzare, seeing her in person so close.

The whole show was amazing. During HSML, people started sitting down, so the view was even better. I looked to the right in the aisle and security people were starting to block people who were trying to get up for the Walk, so there was going to be no way to make it up there.

Stevie looked and sounded absolutely amazing. You could definately tell she was using everything that she had left in the tank. Absolutely amazing.

BATB was amazing as was the talking she did in between songs. She told many funny stories, and to refrain from rambling, I'm sure others that were there will fill you in, but there was a time she lost her train of thought and she said "The train has left the station, and my brain was not on it." I laughed so hard, I absolutely loved it!!!

BATB was amazing, and at the end of the show, Waddy brought out her Yorkie who was wearing a matching BABT outfit. Tooo cute. Stevie also said that she will be back, as usual.

So, as you can probably tell, the show was amazing, and it sems so unreal...

Even to this moment...

Much Love,
Ethan

I thought the show was great but I'm very dissapointed that this was such a short tour. I live in Columbus and have always gotten the pleasure of going to Cinccy AND Cleveland every tour. I DID get to meet Al Ortiz outside the arena before the doors opened. That was pretty cool. He was very nice, I shook his hand and told him what a great job he does. I come from a family of musicians so it was cool to share that experiance and "chit chat" with Al for a minute.

Hey Ethan,

Great story. Glad you enjoyed it. Shame about the Edge walk. Nice that your family are Stevie fans. Apart from my Dad, no one in my family is really into the mac or Stevie and Dad doesn't live with me. Lets hope Stevie will come to the UK at some point.

all the best,
Chris

Thumbs up

I don't usually post here, I'm usually just a lurker.....haha.....I have to say that even though I was disappointed that Stevie didn't come to Blossom Music Center like she usually does I thought the show in Youngstown was one of the best I have seen........I have seen her everytime she has come to Cleveland with and without Fleetwood Mac since 1983 (and even been to a few shows in other places) and even though I didn't get close enough to shake her hand like I did 2 years ago (I will agree that the security guys did suck) this show was one of my favorites......Stevie was extremely energetic and CHATTY!!!!!...She has never chatted to the audience so much and I loved it........When the show started we did make our way up the front but were booted back to row T because "security sucked".........Oh well, I guess they were just doing their jobs.......Anyway, just thought I'd add my 2 cents........Glad everyone had a good time........

And stop lurking... Come in out of the darkness....

Hey Ethan, I think I spotted you outside the venue with your family before the show. I was going to say hello, but I didn't want to ruin any Kinkle family moment.

Hopefully we'll run into you the next time Stevie plays in Ohio.

Were you even at the show?

Thanks all of you all. Um, and to those of you who thought you saw me, I was wearing a black FM SYW shirt. Mom had dark hair, dad had not much (can;'t believe I just said that) and I had Strawberry Blondish. Oh and we got there at about 6:30 or something, obviously before the show. We were for the most part sitting on the stairs next to the radio staion with the tent, 103 I think. Ring any bells for you guys? Did you see us?

PS, anyone have any contact info on a girl on sevenwodners whose username is Stev1eNix or something like that. She's 18 or something and she was at the Youngstown show. Her name is Ashley. I'd really like to get in touch with her for a sec. Anyone got anything? Maybe tell her I'd like to chat with her.

I'm coming to Riverbend next time! I've heard so many great things about that venue. And Jimmy Buffett always comes there.

I doubt Ashley can help you meet Stevie, contact Stevie or get you a job for Stevie. She is a nice girl and I read over on Seven Blunders that Stevie gave her a cashmere Ralph Lauren blanet after the show.

Glad you had a good time. Did Stevie mention that it was the last show of the tour, except for a few shows in Az?
